“Joint Statement by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and United States Secretary of State John Kerry on Humanitarian Ceasefire Announcement, July 31, 2014
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and United States Secretary of State John Kerry announce that the United Nations Representative in Jerusalem, Special Coordinator Robert Serry, has received assurances that all parties have agreed to an unconditional humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
This humanitarian ceasefire will commence at 8 am local time on Friday, August 1, 2014. It will last for a period of 72 hours unless extended. During this time the forces on the ground will remain in place.
We urge all parties to act with restraint until this humanitarian ceasefire begins, and to fully abide by their commitments during the ceasefire.
This ceasefire is critical to giving innocent civilians a much-needed reprieve from violence. During this period, civilians in Gaza will receive urgently needed humanitarian relief, and the opportunity to carry out vital functions, including burying the dead, taking care of the injured, and restocking food supplies. Overdue repairs on essential water and energy infrastructure could also continue during this period.
Israeli and Palestinian delegations will immediately be going to Cairo for negotiations with the Government of Egypt, at the invitation of Egypt, aimed at reaching a durable ceasefire. The parties will be able to raise all issues of concern in these negotiations.
We thank key regional stakeholders for their vital support of this process, and count on a continued collaborative international effort to assist Egypt and the parties reach a durable ceasefire as soon as possible.”

Every time that I come to this wonderful space , TOD, I am just so full with humble gratitude to each of my TOD family members. I know that this is a complete privilege and honor to be in this space with all of you. I do not take not for granted not one second of my time when I come into this beautiful haven that Chips has provided for all of us.
I humbly give gratitude within my space for all of the brilliant minds who have gathered here to work alongside of our great Chips. Your brilliant writings, respectful comments, and beautiful spirits all have given me so much joy. What a great time to be alive and to be able to enjoy these times in this presidency of our 44th President of the United States. And to have had the honor to work to make that fact go in the history of our nation is such an awesome honor..
If I should leave this earth tonight, I will be grateful for all of great moments that we all have had in this space. I do not take anything for granted in my life; and I surely will not take this honor to be with young, younger, and youngest beautiful minds who give so much wonderful care in making sure that we lift up, spread out the facts, and respect the facts of all of this wonderful and brilliant president make daily on behalf of humankind.
Thank you for allowing me to be on this journey, Chips and my TOD family. You all give me hope, encouragement, and joy so that I can pass all of this on to my nieces, great nieces, and my loving brother who is closer to the actions than I will ever be; but what a journey we started and will continue as the TOD family to give our support and respect to our Chips for making sure that PBO receive the due love, support, and respect that he so deserves.
