NATO Accession Anniversary for Czechia, Hungary, and Poland
PRESS STATEMENT
ANTONY J. BLINKEN, SECRETARY OF STATE
On behalf of the United States, I want to congratulate Czechia, Hungary, and Poland on the 25th anniversary of your accession to NATO.
As then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said to mark your accession in 1999, “NATO is joined by three proud democracies – countries that have proven their ability to meet Alliance responsibilities, uphold Alliance values, and defend Alliance interests.”
For 25 years, we have stood together as Allies – united and fully committed to our collective security. Today, NATO stands as the most successful and enduring alliance in history. As we adapt to address the evolving challenges of the future and uphold our ironclad commitment to defend every inch of NATO territory, our Alliance is stronger than ever.

Steve Bannon Suggests Donald Trump Has Been Bought
Steve Bannon, the one-time adviser to Donald Trump, suggested on Saturday that the former president was paid off after a shift in stance on TikTok.
TikTok, the immensely popular video-sharing app known for its predominantly young audience, has once again come under scrutiny from U.S. lawmakers. The app is currently owned by Chinese tech company, ByteDance, which has spurred significant suspicion that its abundance of user data is being furnished to the Chinese government.
Leading aid delivery in Gaza by sea, air, and land
Since October, World Central Kitchen has been calling for more access points to Gaza to open for humanitarian aid. We have served more than 35 millions meals, dispatched more than 1,400 trucks across the Rafah Crossing, and opened more than 60 community kitchens across Gaza. With Jordan, we have provided food on their land convoys and participated in airdrops. We will be providing food for the daily airdrops the Jordanians plan for every day during this sacred month of Ramadan.
We are ready to do so much more.
We have a boat filled with nearly 200 tons of food and a team in Cyprus ready to make the first maritime delivery of aid to Gaza. We have another 500 tons of food in Cyprus and more ships to set sail. Our goal is to establish a maritime highway of boats and barges stocked with millions of meals continuously headed towards Gaza.

A longtime Mar-a-Lago employee who is a central witness in the investigation into former President Donald Trump’s handling of classified documents is now speaking publicly because he believes that voters should hear the truth about his former boss and the case before the November election.
Brian Butler, who is referenced as “Trump Employee 5” in the classified documents indictment brought by special counsel Jack Smith, told CNN in an exclusive interview that he doesn’t believe the criminal case against Trump is a “witch hunt,” as the former president has claimed.

“Many searched for evidence of voter fraud in 2020, only a few were unbiased professionals . . . and only one has written a book about his experience.

In November 2020, data specialist Ken Block received a phone call from the Trump Campaign. They wanted to hire him to find evidence of election fraud. What followed were late night and early morning requests to assess fraud claims at a blistering pace and ultimately find definitive evidence about the role voter fraud played in the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.”
Hungary’s leader claims Trump told him he would cut off U.S. military aid to Ukraine
…Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a new interview that former President Donald Trump told him he would cut off U.S. military aid to Ukraine in an effort to end its conflict with Russia.
Orbán said in an interview with a state-run media organization in Hungary, M1, published overnight, that Trump’s plan is to “not give a penny” to Ukraine, stating that the country “cannot stand on its own feet.” The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment for over 24 hours.
“…Hungary dropped its opposition this year to allowing the European Union to use its budget to give Ukraine a $54 aid package. Orbán, like Trump, also has a history of floating conspiracy theories.”
House Democrats and centrist Republicans launch separate efforts to force a vote on Ukraine aid
House Democrats as well as a small group of centrist Republicans are launching separate long-shot efforts to force a vote on tens of billions of dollars in wartime aid for Ukraine
We’re watching Ukrainians getting blown up, shot up, starved, displaced…so that we will not lose democracy in Europe, so that Putin will not begin the march on Europe leading to the engagement of U.S. troops.
Meanwhile the dysfunctional party of trump is quite functional in blocking aid to stop totalitarianism, creating chaos, starvation and death.

Critics cite youth vote outreach among high stakes against rush to ban TikTok
While a bill to force Bytedance, the China-based parent company of TikTok, to divest from the social site or be effectively banned in the U.S. enjoyed broad, bipartisan support, the smaller but similarly diverse opposition to the bill cautions against what feels like a rushed effort fueled by national security, anti-China grandstanding. Rep. Jamaal Bowman, who voted no, talks with Alex Wagner about his many reservations about how Congress is approaching TikTok, the preferred platform for expression for millions of coveted young American voters.
‘Name your price’: Trump TikTok flip-flop shows he’s ‘for sale’
After meeting with a Republican megadonor with ties to TikTok’s parent company, Donald Trump suddenly changed his tune on whether the U.S. should ban the app. “Name your price, billionaires. Donald Trump’s political positions are for sale,” says Chris Hayes.
“Either you are soft on russia or you are going to to stand with Ukraine.” He said that his republican parents stand for freedom everywhere.

Protect Earth Instead Of Colonizing Mars, Obama Says
Humanity must preserve Earth before dreaming of colonizing Mars because even nuclear war and unbridled climate change cannot make the red planet more livable, Barack Obama said Wednesday.
Speaking at a renewable energy conference in the French capital Paris, the former US president mentioned Silicon Valley “tycoons, many of whom are building spaceships” that could take humans to Mars.
“But when I hear some of the people talk about the plan to colonize Mars because the earth environment may become so degraded that it becomes unlivable, I look at them like, what are you talking about?”
“Even after a nuclear war, Earth would be more livable than Mars, even if we didn’t do anything about CC (climate change) it would still have oxygen — as far as we can tell, Mars does not,” Obama said.
“I would rather us invest in taking care of this planet here,” he continued, saying space exploration should be for gathering knowledge and discovery rather than creating new living space for humanity.
“We were designed for this place, and it would be good if we kept this place in a way that’s livable,” he concluded.
Obama was speaking as a special guest at the opening of the POwR.Earth Summit, a gathering organised by two renewable energy entrepreneurs and attended by industry players.

Osage Nation Oscar Watch Party: The Crowd Felt the Film was a Success
BY LEVI RICKERT
OSAGE NATION RESERVATION — A sold-out Oscar watch party spent five hours on Sunday evening watching the 96th Academy Awards as the Oscars were handed out throughout the evening. They were there to celebrate the success of “Killers of the Flower Moon.” an epic film co-produced and directed by the award-winning Martin Scorsese that told the tragic story of Osage memebers who were murdered or went missing 100 years ago. Some in the crowd were direct decendants of those murdered.
While the film did not win any Oscars, the crowd expressed to Native News Online the film was highly successful in getting the story about what happened on the Osage Nation during the 1920s.
The movie unveils the story of the Osage, who, because of oil on their allotted lands in Oklahoma, became some of the world’s wealthiest people on a per capita basis. During the 1920s, dozens of Osage died under mysterious circumstances. In many cases, those circumstances turned out to be murder. The film concentrates on the family of Mollie Burkhart, played by 37-year-old Lily Gladstone (Blackfeet and Nimíipuu), who had several members of her family murdered, including two sisters.
Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone (Blackfeet and Nimíipuu) paid tribute to Native culture on the red carpet for the 96th Annual Academy Awards with a stunning Gucci gown made in collaboration with Joe Big Mountain of Ironhorse Quillwork (Mohawk, Cree and Comanche Nations).
The midnight blue velvet gown was adorned with a printed cobalt blue trim at the neckline. According to the Wall Street Journal, the gown included porcupine quill-work edging by Big Mountain.
Gladstone (Blackfeet and Nimíipuu) made history as the first Native American nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. Gladstone, 37, received the honor for her critically acclaimed performance as Mollie Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s sprawling crime epic Killers of the Flower Moon. The film tells the true story of a series of murders orchestrated against citizens of the Osage Nation in the 1920s for their oil rights, which resulted in the birth of the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
Gladstone has been an Oscar favorite since the film’s release in October 2023. Her performance as Burkhart, an Osage woman whose family is killed by her white husband for their oil wealth, received critical acclaim for its powerful subtly.
Gladstone received public praise and support from her co-star, Oscar winner Leonardo Dicaprio, who wrote on Instagram: “Working with her will forever be a highlight of my career.”
Her portrayal of Burkhart earlier this year earned her a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Gladstone spent the first 11 years of her life on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana before moving to Seattle.

Osage Nation Oscar Watch Party: The Crowd Felt the Film was a Success
