    I was a bit confused saying to myself : ” I thought his appearance at this was cancelled” and that FLOTUS would fill in;

    then I remembered the earlier function in the White House that precedes the performance at the Kennedy Center;

    ok it makes sense now – I am really slow

    Congrats COS 🙂

    gcLinda mentioned this important video at the bottom of the previous thread and I agree it’s just what all Americans should take to heart, today and forever ….

    watching and listening to PBO at this reception, it is hard to think that this is not the only duty he has to perform tonight;

    I don’t know how he manages to multi-task and yet be fully in each moment so that the people he is communicating to feel they are the only ones who matter to him.

    he seems like he has no challenges to solve;

    PBO makes being POTUS seem so easy that it is no surprise that a number of gop fools erroneously thought they are up to the task (that is until they are so incompetent that they can’t even run a campaign for a months);

    American voters and PBO supporters across all parts of the world, we did exceptionally well to make sure that world gets to share his many talents every day he is office

    • December 6, 2015 at 5:49 pm

      Indeed. He makes it look a LOT easier than it is…and I pity some of the fools who are rushing in, thinking that the Presidency will be just celebrity photo-ops and endless ranting on Twitter and elsewhere….

    I found the video of former President Carter telling his Sunday School class that he’s cancer free. It touched me.

    I must agree with Mr. Seiji Ozawa’s mother’s objection to him joining a rugby team as a youngster

      That’s so fantastic. A cute little story my sister told at Thanksgiving. My sister lives in Atlanta and was visiting one of her friends at the hospital and a nurse came into the room and said, “One of your friends who brought the cookies and had put them out near the nurses station – I just saw President Carter take one and comment how good it was”.

      don’t if you saw my message to you earlier but I promised you that I would put my feelings aside, if your team beat us, because of your tremendous volunteerism for socio-economic justice issues;

    PBo was so cute and funny in his remarks at the reception. No one looking at him would guess that he had such weighty matters to address shortly afterward if we had not be given the word. This ability that he has to be completely present in the midst of the craziness that is the world today is truly remarkable. Of course, the greatest example of his focus was when he was slaying at the WHCD at the time that the bin laden kill raid that he ordered had begun.

    TV and DVR cued up for his 8:00 EST address to the nation. See you afterward.

    It’s so fun to turn on CNN, see their serious mugs, mute ’em, and see their jaws flapping in the breeze. Makes as much sense as it does when you can actually hear them speak.

    Totally plan to turn it all off right after the speech, and form my own opinion of what the President tells the country. Which, I can tell you in advance, will be a good opinion!
