Trump calls Obama incompetent President. Obama never look to the doctors and ask them if people injecting themselves with disinfectants could kill any virus

One scientific discussion I watched on masks was so poignant for me. Wearing a cloth mask can help me protect you but not me. Wearing a construction style N95 mask with a valve can protect me and not you. Wearing an N95 mask can protect me and you. With the outbreak of insanity that Trump is promoting where no one wears a mask at the risk of being targeted for abuse we protect no one.

I hope, since we don’t have leadership that can help us see the importance of protecting mutually, that we can at least get leadership from somewhere that can help us protect ourselves and our community at the same time by all wearing N95 masks.

If I ran things I would do everything I could to make enough N95 masks for everyone including needing to replace them regularly. I would educate the public on proper fitting and handling just like the medical folks do and make sure there are helpers for those that need the help to learn or perform this task. If safety glasses are important as well to protect people then I would make sure they are also worn. For those that have to deal with the public I would outline a protocol for each setting so it is safe, maybe face shields, disposable gowns so that virus cannot be taken home to loved ones. I’d gladly learn to do this properly and help in my community to instruct others.

If there are people who are not caring enough or strong enough to over come the misguided messaging from Trump’s administration, at least for those of us that want to be safe and willing to do what is necessary to protect ourselves and our neighbors, what we do could still make a huge difference. Maybe the public shaming could work toward good this time instead of for evil as well.

Lester Holt from ABC Evening News has a special edition of the Evening News for young people…not sure what days they are…i’m thinking Tues and Thursday…

i love this attention being made to our children…

including the story time from Michelle Obama…it is so very kool and needed

    “It’s just cuckoo…”
A bar graph posted last Monday on the GA Department of Public Health’s website was finagled to show a decrease in COVID-19 infections over 15 days in the 5 hardest hit counties. They did so by jumbling up the dates, by sequencing April 28, April 27, April 29, May 1, April 30, May 6, May 4 , May 5, April 25 May 2, May 7, April 26, etc. (e.g. April 30 before April 25, with two Sundays in the same week!)
After getting caught and mocked for it, Governor Kemp’s office promised never to do it again.
It seems there have been 2 other such ‘errors’.
    (Maddow reported on this.)

I only read the headlines on this article, not wanting to sign up, but it sounds a lot like the Reagan Administration Arms Scandal. I had heard the aid dog walking/laundry complaint long ago and think the GOP preferred that angle to downplay and fit their storyline of the Dems being petty and manufacturing insignificant scandals.

it IS just 2 months…there was not going to be a miracle cure…this is a fight…the problem is that we have to fight the virus and Trump and his allies in the Republican party….

      This is some SERIOUS STUFF

  23. May 18, 2020 at 11:24 am

GOP just showed their hand…they will fake death numbers. What death numbers? What virus?
Risking lives and creating the conditions for large numbers of deaths means little to Trump and cronies.
We must stay alert to more obfuscation about COVID-19 and not trust in GOP data.
There is possibly No limit to what Doom will do to stay in the White House.
–How about the presence or absence of a vaccine?
Just saying i believe Trump will push an untested vaccine before the Election.

“A study conducted by the progressive campaign group the Committee to Protect Medicare suggests demonstrators at anti-lockdown protests have spread the novel coronavirus.
The information was gathered from anonymized location data from opt-in cellphone apps.”
(Guardian): “data scientists at the firm VoteMap used it to determine the movements of devices present at protests in late April and early May in five states: Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Colorado and Florida.”
Executive Director Dr. Rob Davidson: “The behavior we’re seeing at protests carries a high risk of infection.
We can see protesters are going from a highly concentrated event and then dispersing widely.””

“The global coal industry will “never recover” from the Covid-19 pandemic, industry observers predict,
because the crisis has proved renewable energy is cheaper for consumers and a safer bet for investors.
A long-term shift away from dirty fossil fuels has accelerated during the lockdown,
bringing forward power plant closures in several countries and providing new evidence
    that humanity’s coal use
    may finally have peaked
    after more than
    200 years.”

I’m FURIOUS that so many of us are following the guidelines for our own safety, sheltering in place week after week, month after month, only to be subject to these morons desperate to defy sanity. It’s because of idiots like this that a whole lot of us will have to remain in isolation much longer than if people just stopped and realized this pandemic is REAL, just stopped being charter member’s of Trump’s Death Cult. UGH.

Unbelievably tragic. Same age as my son when he passed away in 2018, although I’m so glad he wasn’t here to worry about getting the coronavirus, too, because he was already compromised. They’ll all be missed forever! May they rest in peace.

I am still suspicious that Trump or a supporter/crony would benefit from pushing the drug by sales or stock profits. Trump is all about cons and cheating people out of their money so to me that is his motive. Truth or helping people has never been anywhere near why he does what he does.

I see that with minorities especially Black and Brown and those poor people living in urban areas since they usually vote Democratically. However, Trump has been ahead in the older White people polling. Many live in nursing homes and their dying would lose him votes. I would think Trump would be aware of that.

The Philadelphia Doll Museum is located in Philadelphia at 2253 North Broad Street along the Avenue of the Arts.[1] It is the only known museum in the United States that emphasizes the collection and preservation of black dolls as artifacts of history and culture.[1][2]
