Of course NPR just spent 10 minutes:
Crowing with trumpy Republicans that criminal Gianforte (now running for MT governor) is a “social conservative’ = anti-LGBTQI.
He was elected MT Rep the day after physically assaulting a journalist after zero provocation. There’s a tape of him screaming after he put his hands around the young man’s throat, threw him on the ground and commenced pounding him. Somehow Gianforte’s lawyers shut the victim journalist up and he didn’t speak at the hearing in little Gallaten County. Billionaire public lands developer hopeful Gianforte has a history of aggression and Trump said he was proud of the attack. I saw the televised hearing live and the Judge said he thought 4 days in jail for Gianforte was more than fair. Of course what Gianforte actually did was a little community service…

    GOP Cotton yesterday:
Called for “retaliatory military strike” on Iran over oil tanker incident that most likely has nothing to do with Iran.
Recently Cotton said the United States could easily win a war with Iran in “two strikes. The first strike and the last strike”. Yeh maybe we’ll be “hailed as saviors’ there too after millions more innocents are dead.
Rep. Alan Grayson predicted in 2015: Sen. Cotton is “already on his way to marking himself as the premiere warmonger of the 114th Congress.”
Cotton compared the negotiations of the UN Security Council (P5+1) with Iran to the “appeasement of Nazi Germany”.
As a treacherous Senate newby he signed a letter on behalf of 47 Republicans to the Islamic Republic of Iran, to the Ayatollah, suggesting the President of the USA couldn’t be trusted on the P5+1 deal.
Cotton claims that “bombing makes us safer” and I remember him receiving a heavy boat load of cash from defense contractors.
Please begin impeachment inquiry BEFORE Cotton and others trump up another war.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) denounced President Trump on Monday for reviving plans to repeal and replace ObamaCare, saying Democrats would “fight relentlessly” against it. http://hill.cm/YIYlBwG

      Good let us “fight relentlessly”:

-and/or try and hold on to power for another term.

Kamala Harris has my primary vote…NuffSaid…it is my hope that the clears the field…

This is excellent. I’m ambivalent about impeachment. Yes he has committed treason and obstructed justice and so on. I’m ambivalent because I believe the evidence is overwhelming and expanding everyday that he was not elected but actually hacked into the presidency. If he committed fraud to obtain the office does it makes sense to afford him a process only available to legitimate presidents? I would prefer to see him stripped of his title, lose his protective detail, lose his pension, never have a portrait in the president’s gallery, never ever ever have access to classified information and be imprisoned for the rest of his natural life.

Anyone catch a the townhall in Dayton aired live on MSNBC tonight?

well, i was expecting Lawrence in his usual time slot but clicked on to find Matthews.

I caught a few minutes from my home-state people of Dayton.

I was bothered by the respondents who seemed to find an excuse for Individual 1 no matter the circumstances.

Maybe I read them wrong but a it seems like a dream to try and convince many “economic anxiety” people.

I hope that we all understand that people of conscience have to work 10 times harder that we would normally if we are to get that scumbag out of the People’s House

    • June 18, 2019 at 12:29 am

Yes I normally watch Lawrence but when I found out Matthews would be talking to the #ExtinctionAnxiety and MelaninEnvy crowd, I decided to watch old reruns of Perry Mason.

“Opinion: SCOTUS Ruling All But Guarantees State Criminal Charges For Trump.
On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 (Justices Ginsburg and Gorsuch dissenting) to uphold the “dual sovereignty” doctrine….
So while Trump may have the capacity to pardon his loyalists in the event his heavily politicized DOJ prosecutes them, there is nothing he can do to attack the rule of law at the state level. Applying the same logic, this means that any state who may be listening and who wishes to prosecute Trump on state law should go right ahead and do it. Americans will thank them mightily…
The Supreme Court’s ruling closed the door on Manafort’s hope for a pardon, it shrunk Trump’s pardon power and increased the possibility of his prosecution under New York law.”

“Senate Republicans firm up opposition to protecting U.S. elections from Russian hacking.”
    -Murkowski now with the gibberish.

  47. June 18, 2019 at 12:52 pm

“Donald Trump has hurt America more than the Wall Street meltdown, or even the Iraq war.
His attacks on the rule of law threaten our democratic way of life. People who fear overuse of the word “treason” recoil even more from the word “fascist.” It is radioactive, owing to its connection to the word “Nazi.” But Trump checks every box for fascism, as surely as he does for “narcissistic personality disorder.” He’s no Hitler, but he’s long since put Juan Perón in his rearview mirror and he’s gaining on Mussolini. It’s a far more accurate label for Trump than “authoritarian.” It has the added benefit of letting his supporters know which team they’re suiting up for — and for conveying the magnitude of the present crisis, there’s nothing like it. The political system we purport to cherish is under mortal threat.
We need our own Chilcot Inquiry, in which every witness appears, every document is produced, every interview is conducted in public and the final report goes straight to the American people. The lesson of the um Mueller report is that a Democratic House of Representatives is the only means we have left. We need an impeachment inquiry and we need it now. Bob Mueller threw away his shot. Everything now rides on Nancy Pelosi not throwing away hers.” (Bill Curry, Salon)
-Did Trump encourage Russia? Is he beholden to Putin?
-If Trump was not elected legitimately + he committed fraud to get elected, why bequeath him all the bells and whistles of a normal president?
-Trump thrives on the weakness of others, bullies until they back down, so you have to get out of his do-do box and stand with fierce conviction.
-No feeling or compass means he can go big…and much worse.
Eh Congress, every day is a nice day for it.

I am watching the ABC Stephannopolis report with Donald Trump. Despite the gaffs, constant lying claims and Trump behaviors in plain sight I think this report helped Trump look presidential to his followers. Those of us opposed will notice the negatives. This interview was probably his only full day for the cameras and audience. He had his daughter, wife and son-in-law showcased looking as if they were meeting with him to report back to him about progress they had made on specific projects. Seems like a re-election campaign stunt to me although George did grill him.

Trump was reduced to a small thumbnail on the bottom right corner of the screen as MSNBC covered more newsworthy topics.”
Trump “whined about the Russia investigation, falsely claimed he has been fully exonerated by Robert Mueller, attacked Hillary Clinton for her emails and literally had a cheering contest to determine what his 2020 slogan should be….Trump also repeated the egregious lie that Democrats are in favor of executing babies after they’ve been born.”
