Yahoo: NATO Chief Warns Afghanistan Must Sign Security Pact By Early September

NATO’s chief warned Tuesday that, despite a disputed election, Afghanistan must sign a security pact on a post-combat international training mission by September, or there will be “severe” problems for the Western alliance. Anders Fogh Rasmussen said after meeting President Barack Obama that allegations of poll fraud were a “grave concern”

I’m sure you’ve read about Scott Van Duzer’s pizza place being boycotted and trashed on review sites today by GOPers because of his ‘meeting’ and support for the President yesterday.

The fight-back has been fantastic. For example, on Yelp, where they were rating him down and saying disgusting things about his business, people like this have been responding:

Sorry to hear the GOP propaganda machine learned how to use Yelp to operate possibly the most primitive form of internet trolling – artificial ratings. I have much more pressing chores (grading papers and cooking dinner) now, but I’m sure the GOP have stained the ratings with Faux News horse sh*t as “you didn’t build that”, “communist President” etc.

Just play by the rules, provide healthcare to employees, and give women parity and I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on! I can’t wait to visit my best friend in FL and give Mr Duzer some business.

He’s now received so much support – and so many pizza orders – he’s asking people to donate to his foundation instead.

ThinkProgress: Mitt Romney took his presidential campaign to the next level on Thursday, eschewing mud slinging to instead engage in the far more delicious smear tactic of pizza slinging.

You know that old prank where you send a bunch of pizzas to someone who never ordered them? Well that’s sort of what Mitt Romney did during a campaign stop in Chicago, sending the leftovers from his meal to Obama’s campaign headquarters.

Romney announced his prank via Twitter, complete with a picture of a delivery guy about to set off with the pies.

CNN: Potential GOP candidate Herman Cain has indicated that he will formally announce he will run for president at an event to be held in two weeks. And despite many political observers dismissing him as a potential challenger, his campaign’s communications director told CNN on Saturday, “We are running an operation because we are first-tier. We’re serious.”

….In January, the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza was the first Republican to officially form a presidential exploratory committee. Cain won the Tea Party live straw poll at a summit in Phoenix in February and has since courted potential supporters in the early primary and caucus states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, among other stops around the country.
