the laughs just keep on coming…..

CBS: Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is considering a bid for the Republican nomination for president and could make an announcement soon…The conservative Weekly Standard cites “two reliable sources” who tell editor William Kristol that Giuliani sees parallels between his 1989 mayoral race loss and victory in the next election with his loss in 2008 and the current race.

…Kristol says this time Giuliani would go head to head with New Hampshire front-runner Mitt Romney and then try to garner enough electoral votes in delegate rich states like New York, New Jersey and California. “It seems implausible that Rudy Giuliani could win the nomination. But it’s an implausible year,” Kristol wrote.

MSNBC: President Obama’s approval rating in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll stands at 49 percent, up one point from the last survey … “With the exception of that January bump-up [after the Tucson shootings], it’s the best job rating he’s received since May 2010,” said Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart.

Libya, rising gas prices, the threat of a Government shutdown, etc ….. and still his approval rises to 49. Doomed I say!

westbound

President Obama travels west on Thursday for a two day trip to meet with technology leaders, first visiting San Francisco and then, on Friday, Intel’s most advanced manufacturing facilities in Hillsboro, Oregon.

The President last visited San Francisco in October to campaign for Senator Barbara Boxer, then-gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown and Lt. Gov. candidate Gavin Newsom, all of whom won their seats.

After attending a fundraiser at the Palo Alto home of Google’s Marissa Mayer the President walked across the street to greet a bunch of kids who were standing on the edge of the curb holding a sign that told the president how much they love him.

He bent down and shook their little hands. “I wish I was in my PJs,” he told one girl who was wearing hers. “Thank you so much for the sign,” he said to the kids holding it up.

….as Obama continued down the line, a boy piped up. “Show him your picture,” he said loudly. It was enough to encourage another, shier boy to produce two drawings he’d made for Obama. He handed them over to the president, who thanked him and held them out for inspection.

One drawing was of Obama as a stick-figure in a suit with a very red face … “Now, I’m a little red-faced,” Obama said playfully as he examined the rendering of himself. “This is after I’m talking to some of my Republican colleagues,” he concluded.

Today he said the loveliest thing imaginable about the President, the ultimate tribute:

“I knew Ronald Reagan – Barack Obama is no Ronald Reagan.”

Thank you Newt for being so generous to 44, love ya 😉
