The pandemic’s impact in India has been devastating—and sadly, it also poses new barriers to girls’ education. That’s why the @GirlsAlliance is supporting three new organizations that are working to ensure that girls can keep learning safely.
This #GivingTuesday, meet some of the remarkable girls from the @GirlsAlliance global community, along with a few of the organizations that are supporting them during the pandemic.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions from my non-Black friends about how to be a better ally to Black people. I suggest unlearning and relearning through literature as just one good jumping off point, and have broken up my anti-racist reading list into sections: pic.twitter.com/gj5uko69OY

CHILDREN’S BOOKS THAT DISCUSS RACE & RACISM THREAD:
We believe in the power of story. #JustMercy is one resource we can offer to those who are interested in learning more about the systemic racism that plagues our society. For the month of June, #JustMercy will be available to rent for free on digital platforms in the US. @eji_orgpic.twitter.com/3B2IHMNk7E
Please read happy Black books too. We don't just write about slavery and colonialism. Consume Black history and art about anything. It all helps to decenter whiteness

The best part of my job was meeting people like this—ready to make a selfless act in a time of need. Many Americans are already making deep sacrifices to keep our communities healthy, but if you’re able to, consider helping those hit the hardest. https://t.co/CdrMsC6VXF
