Yep, this sure is a bad day for the right wing media. Take GOPolitico. They clearly struggled to find someone with anything negative to say about the President today, so they settled for quoting Elliott Abrams, who served in foreign policy positions for Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.
During the Reagan administration, Abrams gained notoriety for his involvement in controversial foreign policy decisions regarding Nicaragua and El Salvador … At the start of Bush’s second term, he was promoted … he was put in charge of promoting Bush’s strategy of advancing democracy abroad. His appointment was controversial due to his conviction in 1991 on two misdemeanor counts of unlawfully withholding information from Congress during the Iran-Contra Affair investigation (he was pardoned by President George H. W. Bush).
Today? One of Abrams’ criticisms of the President? His speech was delayed, maybe because he “belatedly discovered the need to brief Congressional leaders”.
Ah, you have to 😆
