It pains me to post this, but here goes: President Biden struck a deal with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to nominate Chad Meredith, a Republican ANTI-ABORTION advocate, to a federal judgeship on the Eastern District of Kentucky, Slate has confirmed. Under the arrangement, Meredith would take the seat currently occupied by Judge Karen Kaye Caldwell, a GWB nominee. She submitted her move to senior status on June 22. When that is complete, Meredith will take her seat. She conditioned her move upon the confirmation of her successor, specifically, the anti-abortion guy. *********In exchange, MM will allow Biden to nominate and confirm two US Attorneys to Kentucky. *******ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! A LIFETIME appt., who by the way, can rule AGAINST your attorneys?!?!?!?!?!? Governor Bashear and Rep. Yarmouth are both LIVID, LIVID, LIVID with Biden. What is he thinking? Never mind, obviously he is not. THIS.IS.CRAZY.
I heard this today on the Michaelangelo Signorile. I kept thinking, wait until this hits the news. Well, just found it on Twitter. Pulling this crap will really help in getting people inspired and enthused about voting, right? Is there not one person in the WH who can talk to Biden and help him to see that this dealing with Republicans in “good faith” is a thing of the LONG AGO past? And, of all people, MM! the most evil man in DC. From what I can tell, it is already a done deal. #sweetJesushelpus
Is there anyone here who can explain this to me so it makes a ‘lick’ of sense? Because, I am here to tell you, I am pissed!! I already was. I called the WH comment line today and it is closed until Tuesday. I have my ‘rant’ written out. Explaining that all we hear is vote, vote, vote. Well, we need to see a hellavua lot more passion, energy, inspiration, anger and fight out of our party leaders (all of them). I was already angry, frustrated, cynical. Then, I heard this and I am off the charts pissed now!!!
Didn’t the dems get rid of filibuster for federal judges? Why does Biden want this deal? But then, there are so many questionable Biden appointments and inaction.
I thought so……Regardless, just heard this on The Last Word on MSNBC. This is awful. I cannot imagine anything that would explain this.
