So amazed by @Beyonce and her record-breaking 28 #GRAMMYs wins! Congrats, Queen Bey—album after album, your music continues to define and elevate the moment, bringing us joy, soothing our pain, and filling our hearts with so, so much pride. 💕
3 vacations a year?! GTFOOH. We’re middle class and I think we’ve had 3 vacations in ten years. And that’s with no kids. On top of the house and property tax (in this article), cars, eating out, and other non-essential expenses! 🙄 $500K annual HHI is wealthy. $50K not so much.
A helpful resource. At a time of great stress in the APPI community, colleagues and friends of @aaja are doing really important work informing and educating. Thank you for doing so. https://t.co/HggqpIN5YX
Our "free" press nor law enforcement are capable of properly addressing the country's white domestic terror problem because they see themselves, their family members & friends in ole Cletis who just had a bad day & had to go kill some minorities. Make it stop!
I just absolutely love that he’s out and about, again – more so than usual, since he was keeping a lower profile before we got Joe elected. Realize most former Presidents do that, but it’s President Obama we all wished would hurry back and now he’s back! I’m in.
Kimmel don’t mess with Ms. Obama.
What’s with the yucky questions. Never do that again!
‘Waffles and Mochi’ is happening here this weekend…looks like a lot of fun full of sweetness…my speed.
“Sen. Chris Murphy
Went To The Border And Found Out Who Caused The Crisis (Hint: It Wasn’t Biden)”
“The rise in migrants started at the end of last year, which means that it began under Trump.
Republicans are trying to blame Biden for this issue, but it was Trump who dismantled the asylum system. It was Trump who saw a rising number of children who were arriving on the border.
It was Trump who did nothing. Republicans are blaming Joe Biden for cleaning up another Trump disaster.”
I most certainly do! We take an oath to support and defend the Constitution; insurrection IS NOT supporting, nor defending. Active duty, reservists, and national guard participants should be courts martialed and kicked out. Retirees should be recalled to active duty, courts martialed and stripped of pensions. Veterans receiving bennies should be stripped through the administrative process.
I shared an article on the last post. Rep Reuban Gallegos has sent a letter to SecDef and SecVA requesting action be taken. I think Retirees and veterans must first be tried in court; those currently serving could be courts martialed in lieu of Fed prosecution.
Our servicemembers deserve to know they have the moral support and legal backing of this nation.
It's past time we have an honest reckoning about responsibly exercising congressional war powers, which includes repealing outdated authorities like the 1991 and 2002 AUMFs.
Yay! I’ve been looking forward to its release, but I won’t be going to theaters until the covid numbers come down a whole lot more. I’ll be streaming it from home.
Only Arkansas permits criminal consequences for nonpayment of rent — and it has enforced the law during the pandemic. Now, after ProPublica investigated the practice, some legislators want to revoke the statute. https://t.co/heLwLzog8O
The reporter tried it – asking why the administration needs to sell a bill if it’s already popular? IDK who that reporter is but where tf was she when Trump did nothing & had weekly celebratory campaign rallies?

My special day has gotten off to a great start! The sun is shining beautifully outside, I’ve enjoyed a tasty meal, and now I’m relaxed as I read well-wishes from friends. ‘Who could ask for anything more?’ Not I. 😉
We-ee–ll, getting a glimpse of Chips Chica would be some real icing on my virtual birthday cake. On such a day as this I definitely am thinking of her and DannyO, while wondering how they fared in this pandemic era.
Vice President Harris:
Violence Against the AAPI Community:
“Over the past week, the President and I have traveled across the country
to mark the passage of the American Rescue Plan, to tell the American people about how 100 million checks are on their way, about how 100 million vaccines have been administered. Big news, good news. And we plan to come down here to Georgia, to the place that made it possible, to share that information.
And then Tuesday night we learned that eight of our neighbors were killed in a heinous act of violence. Violence that has no place in the state of Georgia or in the United States of America. And we were reminded yet again, that the crises we face are many. That the foes face are many. As the President and I discussed with our AAPI community in a meeting earlier today,
whatever the killer’s motive, these facts are clear:
Six out of the eight people killed on Tuesday night were of Asian descent.
Seven were women.
The shootings took place in businesses owned by Asian Americans.
The shootings took place as violent hate crimes and discrimination against Asian Americans has risen dramatically over the last year and more. In fact, over the past year, 3,800 such incidents have been reported, two of three by women. Everything from physical assaults to verbal accusations, and it’s all harmful. And sadly it’s not new. Racism is real in America and it has always been. Xenophobia is real in America and always has been. Sexism too. In the 1860s, as Chinese workers built the Transcontinental Railroad, there were laws on the books in America forbidding them from owning property. In the 1940s, as Japanese American soldiers defended our nation, more than 120,000 Japanese Americans were forced to live in internment camps, an obvious and absolute abuse of their civil and human rights.
Asian Americans have been attacked and scapegoated.
People who are perceived as Muslim know what it was like to live in our country after 9/11.
For the last year, we’ve had people in positions of incredible power scapegoating Asian-Americans.
People with the biggest pulpits spreading this kind of hate.
Ultimately, this is about who we are as a nation.
This is about how we treat people with dignity and respect.
Everyone has the right to go to work, to go to school, to walk down the street and be safe, and also the right to be recognized as an American. Not as the other, not as them, but as us. A harm against any one of us is a harm against all of us. The President and I will not be silent. We will not stand by. We will always speak out against violence, hate crimes and discrimination, wherever and whenever it occurs.”
Each episode has struck unexpected chords….the 11th child in a coal mining family, my father was barely literate when he married…a simple, kind man who sustained a terrible workplace head injury that never stopped aching, changed his personality, and ended his job as a bricklayer. After he died our mother revealed that from their earliest days he hadn’t given her any money! Our mother was something else to be sure. PBO and Springsteen talk about the messages sent to boys about what it means to be a man, and brings up the mysteries surrounding their fathers. Plus Bruce’s music reaches inside every time, wow.

New goal is 200 million shots by his 100th day, April 30.
Wow! That is incredible!
Took the words right out of my mouth Dudette. I’m soooo proud of them both. Sen Warnock’s maiden speech to Congress was pheromonal!
I couldn’t agree more Dianne.
They have no idea…
Welcome Spring! 💐🌷🌻🌼🌸🌺🐣🐥🐛🦋🪲🐞🌿☘️🍀🪴🎋🍃🍄🌤☀️🌈🌞
Tulips I planted in the fall are coming up. I hope they are in bloom by Easter.
As always, I’m getting a late start on starting my seeds. March has flown by in a blur…
Ooo, I love tulips! Please share pictures when the bloom! Time truly is whizzing by!
Will do.
Happy First Day Of Spring!!💐💐

Good stuff. Thanks!
Huh?
i would like to know whether our military TOD folks agree with this…

Amen to that!

I 💯🎯 agree with you!
I’m not military, but I’m a citizen and I say “yes, if you stage an insurrection to overthrow the government, you forfeit your military benefits.”

She’s right.
Although I’m late, it’s still the first day of Spring in my time zone, so Happy Spring, TODville!
Hope y’all are enjoying your weekend. Sweet dreams when you get there. I’m off to dreamland. ❤
OH RIGHT, SPRANG DONE SPRUNGED! 70 degrees one day and 45 the next, here in The 505. The dusty wind whips like hell most days.
Sounds familiar! Here, too (but we haven’t hit 70 yet!). Hang in there.
