    THIS. THIS. THIS.

George Conway is not your friend and he is not on your side. Project Lincoln is not on your side. The way white liberals get tingly because Project Lincoln and their cohorts put out a “spicy take” on Trump is so gross.

The enemy of your enemy ain’t your friend. The enemy of your enemy will fuck you over and Black women know that.

Black women have always had skin in the game. white liberals need to wake the fuck up because at the end of the day they are not the ones who will suffer when these grifting assholes drop their current grift, turn around and loudly resume supporting the BS that is the Republican Party. George Conway is out there hyping up Amy Coney Barrett but because he tweets some nonsense about Trump, I’m supposed to jump on his bandwagon? They are not interested in Black peoples liberation and progress so I don’t fuck around with them. None of these “oh but we can use them as temporary allies.” If you’re not an ally for the long term then you can GTFO.

At the debate tomorrow….here’s what i want to see.
    Every time Trump lies:
Joe will hold up a large cardboard lollipop that has written on it in giant letters:
    “LIE”

  7. September 28, 2020 at 11:04 am

Doom keeps steamrolling on no matter who else is talking until he gets his lie out.
Various options: the lollipop approach, yelling “LIE!”, flashing lights, turn his microphone off.
Moderator deducts points, right half of tv screen informs the viewer, someone throws a tomato.
–Whatever but his krapola must be finally outed in real time.

I am feeling especially sad today. My son came home after finishing grad school (Masters) this past June and has just left to drive back to PA where he is starting fresh. He came home exhausted after a very long road of hell (best friend dying at 32yrs in 2017, had married in 2016, she came out gay in 2018, now divorced all while going through grad school) and needed rest. He stayed 4 months and has just left, driving across the country to return. He is refreshed, has a new purpose and has shed a LOT of the angst and grief that he came with. We gave him shelter, food and most importantly unconditional love and left him “alone” to heal and rest. I am so proud of him that he took this time for himself. It was so nice to get to know him as an adult because he’s been away since 2005. But just for today, I am sad. If you pray, please pray for a safe journey. He plans to arrive at his new apartment this coming Saturday. Thanks.

    • September 28, 2020 at 1:43 pm

Praying for a safe journey! How great that you had the opportunity to get to know him as an adult; in days to come, you’ll reflect on what a great job you did teaching life’s lessons, and be amazed at the great things that he learned that you forgot to impart…

If he’s in eastern PA let me know; happy to be an emergency contact and I’m always good for a home cooked meal…

Bertsy I will keep you and your son in my prayers. I so understand. My son moved home going through a horrid divorce loosing his job and not being able to find another, etc. It hurts so much when your children are hurting and you can’t make it all go away. At least you can give them love and a place to refresh. Blessings and all of you.

Pelosi Just Suggested Trump Tax Returns Could Invalidate His Supreme Court Justices
“A president who wants parades of the military paying homage to him in front of the White House
like he’s some kind of a dictator, yet is he paying for any of that? The protection of our country? $750? Yeah.
It’s a disdain for America’s working families. It’s a — it’s not right, but our responsibility is to protect and defend and we have to make sure we know what exposure the President Of The United States has to, and what an impact it has on national security decisions for our country.
You’re right. The issue of morality is a larger one. As you began, you said, let me be frank and went through some of the other immoralities that the president has been involved it. It really raises the question. He almost has a conflict in interest how he’s appointed jumps who are all waiting for his cases to rise to the level of district appeals, the supreme court of the United States.”

Not only will I return the compliment; I must also thank you for rekindling my interest in science. I was a science nerd grades 1 – 10 then gradually lost interest when I couldn’t fit it into my junior year. Frankly, I got tired of being the only Black in the AP science courses and since sometimes you can’t be what you can’t see… Ironic thing is, a lady from my Church, a friend of my Mom was a pharmacist. I had NO IDEA until after I retired from the Marine Corps and joined our scholarship committee… Other ironic thing is it didn’t bother me at all being the only Black in all of the other AP courses. My only non-APs were math and French…

CDC Director Robert Redfield was overheard saying that Dr. Scott Atlas (Coronavirus Adviser) is misleading Trump on data regarding masks, young people, and “herd immunity”:
About Atlas: “Everything he says is false”.

    • September 29, 2020 at 3:26 pm

Dr. Richard Besser, former Acting Director of the CDC, President and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, speaking to Joy Reid:
Reid: “I used to live there (in Florida) and I see these videos of people herding into bars since the Governor of that state re-opened bars. The Tampa Bay Times reports that Florida surpassed 700,000 cases as the state enters its Phase 3 re-opening. DeSantis has removed ALL the restrictions (shows video). If Donald Trump is getting bad information, saying that herd immunity will solve the virus. And governors like DeSantis are acting on what seems like the same idea: Just let people go wild, go in the bars, be wherever they want. And suddenly that will solve it. How do we ever get out of this nightmare?
How do we ever end this pandemic?”

    • September 29, 2020 at 3:27 pm

      Dr. Besser:
Yes. I mean this is a really dangerous situation.
You know Joy, do you remember over the summer? We saw cases going up dramatically in Florida, in Texas, in Arizona, in California. And so much of that has been related to what young people have been doing – gathering together, really downplaying the impact of this. And so if that’s what’s taking place in Florida. If they’re moving away from the measures that actually have worked in bringing down cases in those states: Wearing masks, social distancing, keeping bars and restaurants closed for indoor activity. If they move away from that, it’s logical what’s going to happen. The cases are going to go up. And the thing about disease in young people. While most young people will do relatively well with this. Not all will. There’ve been a lot of deaths in young people as well. But young people don’t give the infection to young people. They spread it to older people. The CDC has published good data on this. A week or so after you see the rise in young people, you see the rise in older people. Older people are at greater risk of bad disease and dying. So if the president is getting advice from someone who is not an infectious disease expert and he is leading with that advice, the whole nation suffers.”

    • September 29, 2020 at 3:28 pm

Asked about the re-opening of Florida’s bars and restaurants, Dr. Fauci said:
“That is very concerning to me. We have always said, myself and Dr. Birx…that is something we really need to be careful about. Because when you’re dealing with community spread. And you have the kind of congregate setting where people get together, particularly without masks, you are really asking for trouble.”

    • September 29, 2020 at 3:29 pm

      Reid:
“The other kind of congregate setting that is concerning to a lot of parents right now are schools.
Whether it is Colleges or whether it’s Elementary, or High Schools. The Atlanta Journal Constitution has noted that the state of Georgia has been not telling parents. They’ve been withholding COVID-19 counts from the public. Georgia health officials have decided to withhold information about Coronavirus infections at each school, saying ‘the public has no legal right to information about outbreaks that the state is investigating.’ So when you add to the congregate setting, even in the places the Governor finally let up and allowed localities to put in mask orders if they want to. But in some of these schools, parents are sending their kids in, or teachers are going in, and they don’t have any idea that anybody has Coronavirus.
      How dangerous is that?”

    • September 29, 2020 at 3:31 pm

      Dr. Besser:
“There needs to be transparency on this.
And one of the things that we’ve been calling for as a foundation in a big way is data has to be collected and broken down by race, ethnicity, by zip code. So you can see how this is playing out across different schools, in different school districts. We know that a lot of schools in America are funded off of property taxes. So wealthier schools are going to be able to do more to protect the students and staff and teachers, than schools in lower income communities. And we know that many of those communities have a higher proportion of Black and Brown children. What does it say about us as a country if we’re not ensuring that all children are safe, and staff and teachers are safe? And we’re not getting this information across the board. It is something that has to happen.”

Reid: “The midwest is seeing a surge in COVID cases. Do you worry now that any state that is very very trumpy, are you going to be having people getting very sick?
      Dr. Besser:
“I worry a lot that when you have any state, and you have a significant number of people, whether it’s 30% or more who aren’t wearing masks, and social distancing, washing their hands, for whatever reasons. Whether it is political and they just don’t believe it. Everyone suffers from that. And not every community suffers equally. So we have to come together as a nation. What we’re seeing in the midwest is going to happen anywhere where people back off of these controls.”

Since tRump is in the habit of (Confession by) Projection, maybe HIS ears should be checked. He probably expects the accusation to be considered ludicrous and Biden won’t be checked…and by extension…he won’t be checked either (IMO).

I wouldn’t be surprised if the debate was called off for some reason because of Trump.
