That’s probably my favorite quote of any of the people I’ve read about throughout history. It is very instructive, it’s simple but it tells a story. It introduces the subject, then it talks about the subject’s environment, and finally it offers an outcome that the subject can or cannot avoid.
I think many wonder why we have not done so already..but there is not a people that believes more in the constitution and the Bill of rights…and the PROMISE of what America could be..than Black folks..

Because I don’t know how to do this, I am asking if anyone here can. Yesterday on Dateline White House, Michale Steele went through a long litany of “Tell us, America, what we should do? He had a long list of things that Black people are told to do when a cop stops them. After every one, he would say “That doesn’t work.” Sometimes he would add “You shot us anyway” or “You kills us anyway.” It was so damn POWERFUL! Would love it posted here, but would love to be able to share on fb. I do not remember which hour it was, the 4:00 or 5:00 hour. If anyone can find it and post, I would so appreciate it.

BEAUTY BREAK. The Ventana Wilderness near Big Sur is some of the more pristine gorgeous land you’ll ever see. There’s a condor project there and this is just beautiful to see, especially after all the fires came so close to destroying it.
