    Have tried multiple times.
Cannot post up VP Biden’s paring words today. One more try:
“Net zero emissions no later than 2050”.

      Meta, it’s nauseating.

The way this system comprised of CRUEL officials continue this school-to-prison pipeline barbarism is atrocious.

There is no thought or concern or care of how to help struggling Black and Brown children. They are callously seen as adults and without redemption or worthy of compassion.

There are resources available. There are people willing and able to help. We see this done for white kids everyday all around the world. But Black and Brown kids…pfft.

The whole goddamned system needs to be abolished.

This is that RW meme about privatizing an industry…where the profits of the company is more important than the good of the public….and just keep this in mind if there is a vaccine…keep in mind the cost, ..etc…follow the money…but if there is a vaccine coming out in Fall..i will not be one of the guinea pigs to try it…in addition…will the vaccine be free or be available to only those who can pay for it…Insurances may not cover an experimental drug

Which i think is another reason that the Trump administration is trying to sideline Public Health officials…who will be skeptical of a vaccine in so short of a time..

Friend and myself were touched by COVID four months ago. She has had serial rapid heartbeat and other unusual symptoms, while I’ve had sudden indescribable exhaustion. Can only imagine what it must be like for someone with a more severe infection. We now know it attacks the system on multiple levels.

Unfortunately, as with most of the stuff tRump does, he seems of the mindset, “just do it and deal with the fallout later”. In the end, he’s done what he set out to do and probably got the benefit he sought. As far as fallout, he’s mastered delay tactics such that any resulting consequence is probably negligible as far as the impact to him and may have more of a negative impact to those who can least afford it,

That’s what we get when we allow criminals with no heart, soul or conscience into positions of power.

Alabama is a college football state. I wonder how much his affiliation with Auburn played in his win as opposed to a tRump endorsement.

          “A Trump-Backed Senate Candidate’s Hedge Fund Disaster”

President Trump’s favored Senate candidate in Alabama, Tommy Tuberville… also had a brief stint as co-owner of a hedge fund. It did not go well.

A little more than a decade ago, after departing from Auburn University where he was head coach, Mr. Tuberville entered into a 50-50 partnership with a former Lehman Brothers broker named John David Stroud. Their ventures, which included TS Capital Management and TS Capital Partners — T for Tuberville and S for Stroud — turned out to be a financial fraud. Mr. Stroud was sentenced to 10 years in prison, and Mr. Tuberville was sued by investors, who accused him of fraud and violating his fiduciary duty to take care of their investments; he reached a private settlement in 2013.

Definitely true. I lived in #TX24 for 11 years (just moved a couple months ago to #TX03) and is crazy how much the demographics of the area has changed in just a few years. Not only large Hispanic communities, but a very, very large Asian community as well.

This district has seen massive in-migration from asians with money. They have invested so much $$ in the district ans completely changed the landscape. New hotels, condos, houses, retail, etc. All high end stuff.

“Joe Biden released an ambitious, $2 trillion climate plan, built around investing in clean energy and rebuilding infrastructure. The proposal is the second plank of Biden’s economic-recovery agenda. It includes the progressive goals of achieving a carbon-free energy sector by 2035, upgrading four-million buildings over four years, and shifting major cities toward public transportation. Biden linked environmental advocacy to both new job creation and racial justice, and made explicit mention of tribal communities. The plan is a substantial expansion of his initial proposal to spend $1.7 trillion on climate policies over ten years, and a heartening sign that he means to adopt a unity platform that progressives can genuinely embrace.”

Trump attack on nursing homes and reversing Obama initiatives.
“The Trump administration began rolling back nursing-home regulations well before the pandemic.
An estimated 45 percent of all Americans who’d died of coronavirus as of June 29 were residents of nursing homes or long-term care facilities. Congregate living tends to be conducive to the spread of contagious diseases, including COVID-19, and the Trump administration’s decision to reduce fines for nursing-home violations has increased that vulnerability. That, in turn, was the result of heavy lobbying by the nursing-home industry, which has urged Trump to reverse Obama administration initiatives. Most of Trump’s proposed changes have yet to be implemented, and would further ease infection-control regulations if they go into effect, putting residents at still-greater risk.” (Lazarus)
