This needs to be addressed – and I’m serious – the first week of the Biden administration (not to jinx that last part by taking it for granted).
I am so sick at heart about this. I hope VP Biden will act as you suggest. It is crushing to think about the horror and it needs to be acknowledged as such and action taken to pronounce the obscenity of it.
I’m with you. Every now and then, those babies come into my head … sometimes late in the evening before I go to bed. It’s right up there on the list of some of the worst things we’ve done as a country. The fact a pandemic had to “free” them is appalling. Hugs to you and I hope we address this immediately upon taking back the keys to the WH.
I find it enraging and want to scream. It’s very difficult to sleep these days.

Who knew that the majority of Black cartoon characters were voiced by White people? And now there’s a push underway to have those Black characters voiced by actual Black people. The mind reels at all the ways Black people can be excluded from even the most mundane things. Just the absurdity of being a Director of a cartoon that has a Black character and you say to yourself, “who can I pick to be the voice of a Black character?” “I know, I’ll pick someone White.” Then you go about your business thinking that you’ve cleared a hurdle. Oblivious to the fact that you’ve just disregarded an entire group of voice actors. It is these types of microaggressions and slights that has bought us to the doorstep of our current climate. From the moment a Black person leaves the house, all bets are off. On Father’s Day last Sunday my wife and son took me up to bestbuy to get a gift. They had the gift all planned out, I was excited at the thought. So we get to bestbuy and they headed straight to the car electronic department. You want to know what they picked out for me, they picked out a Dashcam. A camera that hooks up to your rearview mirror that can record the front and back and interior of your car just in case you’re in an accident. But really, it wasn’t for an accident, it was for that other thing. And no, I refused to let them pay for it, I refuse to have my wife and son worry every goddamn time I leave the fucking house. So they got me a fitbit instead.
Oh, wow. So many things here to unpack.
And, after all, I hope you got the gift you wanted and deserved, not necessarily that other thing.

This tRump/Putin bounty incident should be front and center on ALL media from now until we get these traitors (Pence too and most likely Pompeo) out of the WH and beyond. They are in a Catch-22. Either they knew about the bounty and did nothing– may have gone as far as supported it. Or they were not told about it, which is telling about them in their roles as CIC and 2nd that their National Security team did not want to tell them, and also makes one question the National Security team if they did not report this.
Personally, I think they knew and decided to take the child’s way out… close their eyes, stop up their ears and pretend that it’s not there or that it will magically go away [or hope the pandemic and the protests would keep us distracted such that this would stay under the radar and not come to light].
