One of the replies under Valerie Jarrett’s tweet about DACA claims President Obama never observed Juneteenth.

Why do people feel the need to lie on President Obama? I mean Google is right there. Ugh!

    Here’s Ms. Jarrett s tweet

News Alert Jun 18, 5:49 PM

A top State Department official resigns in protest of Trump’s response to racial tensions in U.S.

The five-paragraph resignation letter submitted Thursday by Mary Elizabeth Taylor, the assistant secretary of state for legislative affairs, serves as an indictment of President Trump’s stewardship at a time of national unrest from one of the administration’s highest-ranking African Americans and an aide who was viewed as both loyal and effective in serving his presidency.
“Moments of upheaval can change you, shift the trajectory of your life, and mold your character. The President’s comments and actions surrounding racial injustice and Black Americans cut sharply against my core values and convictions,” Taylor wrote in her resignation letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. “I must follow the dictates of my conscience and resign as Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs.”

It is imperative for Dems to increase the number on the court…it is imperative if they are able to cut the length of the time that Judges serve….and of course it is imperative that Senate Dems get rid of the Filibuster…they are already talking about statehood for DC

If your number one priority is to get tRump out of office, then there should be no question that you will VOTE and vote for Biden.

Radical progressives, in all their intelligence, should understand that Biden in office is movement towards their progressive agenda. Voting otherwise (3rd party/write-in) or not voting at all will set their agenda back, probably for decades, and will erase some of the progress that has already been made.

UGH, such a stupid and ugly political move for a company that’s really struggling through this pandemic anyway. STUPID.

Put this killing aside for a moment, you can go to any law enforcement data base and see that in relation to any other group of people. Young black men do not commit suicide on equal to or greater than any group of people. And now we are to believe that all of a sudden young black men are voluntarily hanging themselves all across the country?

imo, Senator Klobuchar was magnificent on O’Donnell, responding to the gravitas of now, and what is opening up. The VP position must have been something she really wanted, but she is thinking of the needs of the country. She was saying that out of tragedy can come joy, the future, and “a way to get there”.
Her state must be happy because she is so talented. Brava Amy!

This is the other piece about the Emancipation Proclamation…

Lincoln’s issue was to preserve the UNION…that is why the Confederacy was not seen as traitors…and despite the concessions made to the confederacy they assassinated Lincoln …

  100. June 19, 2020 at 9:55 am

The Compromise of 1877 was an unwritten deal, informally arranged among U.S. Congressmen, that settled the intensely disputed 1876 presidential election. It resulted in the United States federal government pulling the last troops out of the South, and formally ending the Reconstruction Era.

Black Republicans felt betrayed as they lost power and were subject to discrimination and harassment to suppress their voting. By 1905, nearly all black men were effectively disenfranchised by state legislatures in every Southern state.[2]
