Peaceful protest in my area for the most part. The first night after the 1200 peaceful marchers had gone home, a smaller group brought mayhem to the downtown area. Few shops, mostly non-commercial and government buildings are in our downtown area. Found it interesting that the office of elections was vandalized. This is not something that voting Black people, and there are many of them in Jacksonville, would do.
Protests here are permitted and the cops go along basically as escorts and to block off streets along the route so people can pass peacefully. Last group went into an old money neighborhood, businesses in San Marco Square boarded up around 5pm, but churches had water etc for the protesters. A very diverse group of about 3,000 marched and chanted without incident.
May I also add, the the citizens of AZ said No thanks to electing her the first time around, which is why we have Senator Sinema…. and when McCain passed, he installed McSally against the will of the people of this state!! That rancid SOB can get out, too, but unfortunately we have him till 2023. Good grief I can’t stand them
