Damn, this one hit me hard, I was born and raised in Miami and Don Shula was an institution. My old man loved himself some Dolphins and Don Shula. I remember my dad would take my brother and I to the practices because they were free, we couldn’t afford the tickets but we didn’t care because it was the Dolphins. Sleep well Coach Shula….
Funny happening the other day when I opened my small community mailbox. There was a package in it. I had to stop and think what it could be. When I opened the package the joke was on me. I had been scammed, but it was worth it for the laugh. 😂
I am currently shopping at my regular grocery store online where I go pick the order up at the appointed time and they bring the groceries out and put them in my car. 🚙 The four times since Stay n Place that I have used the service they had no toilet paper. A friend looked in five different local grocery stores also with none available. So I turned to Amazon and found six rolls of tp on back order of a month and a half. It was through a private person working through Amazon. I ordered it.
You guessed it! Upon opening the small package it was six rolls of miniaturized toilet paper. I placed one roll of regular toilet paper on top of them as that showed the difference words do not equate. One roll of regular tp is taller than the others and may be equal to four rolls of the miniature rolls as it covered all but two rolls.
My question is in this time of shortages when there was a need for the regular product why would someone go to all the bother to make a product that would not have repeat business? Could it be opportunity, greed, and larger profit margins?
We miss a competent President and First Lady, can’t wait till November when we make our choices made if white women would not disappoint us again by given trump there votes this time
America always had very little regard for human lives, but under Trump it's just became a soulless country of savages and cannibals. https://t.co/pTAX5Rx1dM
Every day it's a new wave of nausea, a human tragedy unfolding right before our very eyes while the press find new ways to diminish the horrific GOP lies and hatred and sadism while they micromanage VP Biden's campaign.
“TEST THERE.”
Maddow reporting that possibly 80% of the deaths in Minnesota are in nursing homes: “Test and ye shall find”.
Then there are the prisons: Trousdale Turner Correctional Center TN has the 3rd largest prison COVID-19 outbreak = 1349 of 2700 people tested positive. Imagine if and when every prison is finally tested?
We must test in order to find who is infected, whether symptomatic or not, and act to prevent spread of the virus. The Nebraska governor claimed the surrounding metro area Sioux City Iowa was not getting the spike in coronavirus from the meat plant in Dakota City. Then finally, testing turned up 669 positives at that meat plant.
Maddow: “Not looking is not a safe way to hide this stuff.”
Maddow explains how the Epidemic Intelligence Service at the CDC:
Sends “world class specialized disease detectives”, small teams of intrepid and great scientists to investigate root causes. The mo is “You invite in the CDC, they send their elite disease detectives, that team figures out what happened, they tell you in a short report in no uncertain terms with no minced words what you need to do to fix it, and then you fix it.”
But the CDC report on the Sioux Falls Plant the CDC was not normal. It instructed the plant to “consider implementing…if feasible…when possible.” Wishy-washy instead of clear cut directives. And headed up with: “These recommendations are discretionary and are not required or mandated by CDC.”
RM’s team narrowed down the abrupt change in CDC’s response to a 2 day window:
Before: The normal straight forward CDC response to JBS Greeley CO on April 20th.
After: The “Not required” CDC response to the Smithfield Sioux Falls IO on April 22nd.
Dramatic changes in CDC responses:
JBS Greeley CO (April 20): Emphasize face coverings must cover nose and mouth at all times.”
Smithfield Sioux Falls IO (April 22): “face covering are generally recommended.”
CO (20th): “Provide all entrants (listed) to the plant with a face covering and show them how it needs to be worn.”
SD (22nd): “If feasible, all employees should wear the face covering.”
CO (20th): “teach workers to ask for new face coverings when tears becomes dirty, wet, and/or difficult to breathe through..”
SD (22nd):“The facial covering should be discarded and replaced when dirty or wet, if possible.”
CO (20th) “stagger breaks to minimize the total number of workers that are in common areas, locker rooms, lunchrooms and locker rooms at the same time.”
SD (22nd) “staggering shifts, start times, and break time as much as feasible.”
CO (20th): “Put hand washing stations near the outdoor break area and encourage hand washing…Install hand washing stations or additional sanitizer dispensers in the lunchroom.”
SD (22nd): “Portable…hand washing facilities could be utilized.”
CO (20th): “Physical barriers should not be used as a replacement for maintaining at least 6 feet between workers…if that is not possible, barriers, can be installed.”
SD (22nd): “Consider the following actions to physically separate employees.”
CO April 20 (20th):“Ensure all workers who have a fever (.1004oF) or one or more of the reported symptoms are sent directly to secondary screening…Provide specimen collection and ordering of COVID-19 testing on site for workers during secondary screening who are found to have fever and/symptoms. Entrants who are not workers at the plant who indicate they have a fever or symptoms should not be allowed entry into the plant.”
SD (22nd) “If possible, ask employees about recent history of fever.”
= Weak and watered down guidance in the middle of the biggest health threat.
How did that happen in 2 days?

Dr. Jha: “You would think the CDC would be the source of data and evidence for this pandemic…The CDC has just been absent…There’s clearly been a decision to sideline the CDC to make sure that they’re not collecting and presenting data to the American people. A man was spotted wearing a Ku Klux Klan hood in a Vons in the San Diego County city of Santee on Saturday, igniting outrage from the mayor, the head of the Anti-Defamation League in San Diego and others.
A corporate spokeswoman said grocery clerks repeatedly asked the shopper to remove the hood or leave the store, located on Mission Gorge Road.
A supervisor found the man once he was in a checkout line and asked him again to take off the hood or leave, said Melissa Hill, a spokeswoman for Vons, Albertsons and Pavilions stores in Southern California.
“The ideological disease that cripples the United States is the belief that society does not exist beyond its commercial activity, meaning profits for corporations and their owners or shareholders — as sacred.
An entire set of religious assumptions follow, most significantly that people like Jordan are martyrs for the God of profit. Their deaths are acceptable losses in the name of God and country, which mutate together into the bloodless idol of commerce.”
“Public health experts, doctors, nurses and virologists have argued one position:
Even though it is painful and costly, the United States must remain on lockdown, and its citizens must continue to practice social distancing. Otherwise, massive amounts of people will needlessly die.” (Salon)

“COVID-19 is also having a disproportionate economic impact on African American families. African American small businesses have been hit hard, and over 90% of African American-owned businesses are estimated to be shut out of the initial relief program due to preexisting, systemic disparities in lending. This is especially dire given that African American families have less of a financial cushion to fall back on in hard times.”

But by all means let’s open Cracker Barrel right now.

This is why only testing people with symptoms is dumb.
It’s dumb in food plants, in nursing homes, anywhere you actually need to detect all infections.
“More than 370 workers at pork plant in Missouri tested positive for COVID-19. All were asymptomatic.”
clappppppppppp
YAY!!!!!!!
“Leilani Jordan, a 27-year-old woman with a developmental disability,
who worked as a grocery clerk at a satellite store of Giant Food — a chain throughout three states —died from the coronavirus disease when contracted when earning her final paycheck. That check was for $20.64.
She worked without a facial mask”

“The ideological disease that cripples the United States is the belief that society does not exist beyond its commercial activity, meaning profits for corporations and their owners or shareholders — as sacred.
An entire set of religious assumptions follow, most significantly that people like Jordan are martyrs for the God of profit. Their deaths are acceptable losses in the name of God and country, which mutate together into the bloodless idol of commerce.”
“
“Public health experts, doctors, nurses and virologists have argued one position:
Even though it is painful and costly, the United States must remain on lockdown, and its citizens must continue to practice social distancing. Otherwise, massive amounts of people will needlessly die.” (Salon)
Pure joy!
Plan looking good…bravi!!
Amen!
What walking the walk looks like
Yessssss!
Who’s gonna pay thousands for a death cruise?
Some will. Bon voyage to them!
I crossed off cruises and assisted living or nursing homes from my bucket list and future possibilities after what this corona virus has shown me.
It’s a bit nicely:
“He’s Like “Abraham Lincoln Compared to Donald Trump”
“Resistance” Group Endorses Biden:
A progressive group has endorsed Joe Biden for president despite not supporting him during the primaries.
Indivisible will formally endorse Biden on Monday following overwhelming support from its local chapters and members. The group was founded following President Donald Trump’s election.”

A Colorado man who helped organize an armed protest against the state’s lockdown order was arrested on suspicion of having pipe bombs and related materials. He was under investigation for social media posts urging people to bring assault rifles to a rally.
I think this is the very important point that people are missing altogether:
Absolutely, Meta. This is not going to end well!!!!
Everyone should watch and listen to this microbiology physician, Dr Lane Rolling who is interviewed by his daughter; Jordyn.

A security guard at a Family Dollar store named Calvin Munerlyn in Flint, Michigan was spit at, shot and killed for asking a woman to put on a state-mandated mask before entering.
That woman, her husband and her adult son have now all been charged with murder.
I hope all 3 are locked away forever.
