Science & research is going to solve the COVID-19 problem.
Thanks to all the scientists working around the clock. Thank you to health care workers around the globe who are putting their lives on the line for us all. And for the children waiting for them to come home.
May all be safe, may we all follow the protocols, and may everyone wear a mask.
Thanks for the incredible One World Together event.
    Endings…beginnings.

Very sorry there are so many misunderstandings with on-line interactions. Always surprising to look back and figure out how something was totally misinterpreted, but not much you can do about it. (All the best!)
For the record I love Joe! He is wonderful and will do us proud.

    GM TOD…

I am exhausted…from Trump encouraging Sedition among his ignorant followers…to the MSM continuing to air
Trump’s propanda briefings…I do not know what will happen…

Trying to see a bigger picture…and not concentrate on the gloom… To see the light as well

I sincerely Hope this is who we are…

Thank you, Sheila! I do believe this is who we are. We have to drown out and stop listening to the people that are only driven by hate. Look at all the people in Wisconsin that stood for hours and in the rain to cast a vote.
Today is the day that we celebrate Easter. I watched the services last night on line, and it has given me hope for the future.

Good morning, TODville. I hope you are all doing well despite the new reality of containing both a virus and a severely damaged GOP at the same time.

There’s been a series of photos on twitter depicting people replicating famous works of art. I especially like this one!

Girl!!! It was a hhhhot hilarious mess! There was supposed to be this live battle of the super producers on Instagram – Teddy Riley vs Babyface. Apparently there was one with Swizzbeatz and Timbaland a few days ago (I missed that one).
Anyway, it was a complete disaster. The first half hour was Teddy and his crew setting up. 🙄Then Babyface (who is recovering from COVID, bless him) came on. It was supposed to be the two of them playing some of their biggest hits and sharing some history about the music. But Teddy’s sound was all jacked up with the most awful feedback. Babyface was all by himself. No sound problem. They went back and forth trying to play music. Teddy could barely hear Face at all. The audience couldn’t hear much of anything Teddy tried to play because of the sound problems. He had this goofy hype man dancing behind him. He and Teddy were dancing away but you couldn’t hear the music. Face was total class. He played 3 great songs starting with early work he and Teddy did together with Bobby Brown and commented about how even he was unaware of some of the big hits Teddy produced at such a young age came from
Teddy. There were at least 400,000 people online. But after an hour of them stopping and restarting cuz of Teddy’s technical crap they told the audience to sign off while they tried to work it the kinks out and come back in 30 minutes. Face posted a video that basically said we’ll do it another time. Then Teddy posted a similar video.

It was just supposed to a conversation between the two of them while they played clips of their best music while fans listened in. But Teddy decided he wanted to turn his side of it into a performance concert. The feedback was from someone in the background trying to film it for something he might have been planning to market later. He had these people in the same room with him. No one wearing masks and no one reading comments from people online trying to tell him it was his sound setup that was messed up, not Babyface’s. Naturally, as you might expect, Teddy got dragged for filth on Twitter. New memes have already started and there’s a new verb for ruining something by overdoing – to Teddy Riley it. 😂

        • April 19, 2020 at 1:09 pm

OMG!!!! Thanks so much for all the detail. My goodness, what a mess. I didn’t know Babyface had the virus. Thank goodness he pulled through. Thank you, D.

    Thread…

  25. April 19, 2020 at 12:26 pm

Something good under our noses but the silence is deafening:
“India’s capital is one of the world’s most polluted cities, but its skies have turned blue
and many people can see the Himalaya Mountains for the first time.”
“In Italy’s Venice, meanwhile, canal water is so clear fish can be easily seen.” (al jazeera)
Atop London you can see for miles and miles and miles.
How come? Today autos are off the streets, planes on the ground, factories closed.
The marvelous side-effect of the virus – clean air and pristine skies is everything we need to know.

    • April 19, 2020 at 12:28 pm

Let’s sell green transportation while the evidence is blaring around the globe.
Hint: There is no clean coal. I see long trains going by headed for China every day, loaded up, and the dust flying. Europe is going electric car, gradually phasing out gas autos sales.
We don’t want coal-powered electric cars.

    • April 19, 2020 at 12:30 pm

Yes electric cars – but not ones fueled by coal electricity!
Total US electricity generated by fossil fuels is 63%. Of that 38% natural gas, 23.5% is coal.
This must change to solar, wind, geothermal, tidal + other clean, heavenly energy sources.
All the Science points to 2030. Must get to carbon neutral by 2030.
      Carbon Free by 2050.

Oil dictators play games with the compromised criminal Trump, pressuring him to lift sanctions on the vast Siberian oil fields. The Exxon propaganda machine also fed us the idea that changes in climate are slow…that we have centuries to resolve it. No we don’t. We don’t have any more time left to play dumb corporate sponsor. We’re in the last minutes of the last scene. Half of the carbon pumped into our atmosphere is from the last 30 years.
In fact the situation was stable 30 years ago. We did this. But we can get busy (some farmers are on board) reforesting, bring back wildlife, greening urban spaces, working hand in hand with every country, and ending the fossil fuel age once and for all.
    The Plan:
    -Carbon Neutral 2030.
    -Carbon Free 2050.

Here righty Morgan speaks clearly about the gross failure to respond to the virus in both countries, while seeming not to understand the breadth and depth of Trump’s criminality and corruption on all fronts, plus actions that destroy democracy and rule of law. Boris is the same kind of compromised empty showman, but I don’t think he’s in the same mafia league. Wake up Piers.
