      he knows that this is a lie…what is so brazen about Trump and he cohorts is that they lie so effortlessly..and they know that they can lie with out consequence…because no one will call them out….

      keep in mind that a lie is deliberate untruth…the keyword is deliberate

      Triple Twit. Way past stupid! I’d like to throw him in a shit hole dwelling forever, no PPE’s, be force fed Virus45 pressers daily. And wait for that autographed $1200 check (which he’ll be forced to spend one cent per day to stretch it out) also delayed by narcissism. Make him have to go to work @ a minimum wage job, ride public transportation to get back & forth, said shit hole will be in food desert areas, no running water (cos his shit cohorts shut off water as they they heisted (robbed) tax payer money, who’s the “welfare queen” now?). See how long he’d last. Probably one second. 😏 Tired of these MoFo’s & their grifting to our detriment. 😖 Begone already! 😷

      Share the same sentiment.

      I trust VP Joe will be totally focused on the interests of everybody and especially those who are struggling.

      I know he will hire the best people who really want to serve the public and actually listen to experts and scientists.

      Besides, the nation and the world are hurting too much. We need to start on the process of healing.

    Watching Trump try to spin the issue of “re-opening the economy…is a bit unbelievable…most in the press and pundits …along with health officials and governors know that we are not ready yet…and to move too fast will be deadly…We know that this roll out is all about his reelection and Trump does not care how many people may die…

    but will we as a country just continue to watch him kill Americans…Will the pundits continue to just talk about the death total…

    It is time for him to go…

      I don’t want her as VP either. She needs to keep that senate seat in MA. Gov Baker is a Republican, no way will he appoint a Dem in her place.

    • April 16, 2020 at 4:26 am

      WOW. Oh, OK.

      My gut tells me Joe might choose her, though. He tweeted yesterday that she was the smartest and most impressive of the bunch of fellow runners. And I think PBO has only heaped praise upon her and Bernie so far, so who knows.

      • 45 jacquelineoboomer
        April 16, 2020 at 5:51 am

        Who knows is right. My take on PBO’s heaping the praise on Bernie and her was to “get the job done” of bringing them on board and giving them a spotlighted exit so their followers could get on board. And that was my take on Joe’s previous comments – but I’ll go find Joe’s tweet you mentioned and check it out. Guess it could go either way.

        • April 16, 2020 at 8:08 am

          Morning, Boomer!

          Here is his statement. I didn’t get it quite right but it’s heaping with praise, really far more effusive than his reaction to any other candidate.

      I cannot open this article up. Not sure if it mentioned what I heard today or not? I heard that in early February Trump’s Administration ordered PPE from Taiwan for the WH administration while telling the public there was nothing to worry about.

      • April 15, 2020 at 11:56 pm

        The article is NOT behind the pay wall; part of the corona coverage.

        “… The Federal Emergency Management Agency awarded a $55 million contract for N95s this month to Panthera Worldwide LLC, which is in the business of tactical training. One of its owners said last year that Panthera’s parent company had not had any employees since May 2018, according to sworn testimony.

        It also has no history of manufacturing or procuring medical equipment, according to a review of records produced as a result of legal disputes involving the company and its affiliates….”

        ****

        “…The FEMA contract with Panthera, which was awarded without competitive bidding, has a start date of April 1, according to a summary. Lizzie Litzow, a FEMA spokeswoman, said the Panthera contract is for 10 million masks, adding, “Panthera is not a manufacturer, they are a distributor of N95 masks.”

        The price that FEMA is paying Panthera per mask, about $5.50, is significantly higher than what the government pays companies such as 3M, which charges as little as 63 cents per N95 mask, with an average cost of about $1.50 for more advanced models, according to a price index. Prestige Ameritech, the largest domestic mask manufacturer, is charging FEMA about 80 cents per mask for the government’s order of 12 million N95 respirators, part of a $9.5 million contract that started April 7.

        Beyond the premium the federal government is paying to Panthera, the decision to award a contract to an insolvent organization with no apparent expertise in the given field struck experts as unusual.

        “Something is amiss there,” said Chuck Hagel, a former defense secretary and Republican senator from Nebraska. “This is not how the government procures training or any type of supplies. You just wouldn’t do business with somebody like that.”

    No matter our personal preferences, more and more are coming to this conclusion. Which is how we win, this time around. Doesn’t mean we have to stop recognizing our “personal platforms,” which we can go back to working toward after the election. But it may mean figuratively sending a “see you next time” message to our favorite VP candidate. And that’s tough. Anyway, that’s my take.

But looking at it from Kamala’s side who would want to be in the position of getting a lifetime job to have such stress and frustration with the present make-up of the court? “Trump’s darkness: White supremacy, Christian nationalism and the coronavirus”
    “Fascist and authoritarian governments
    often exploit, accelerate,
    or create crises to increase their power and further their agendas.
    Here’s the fascist emergency playbook:
    -Use the emergency to restrict civil liberties — particularly rights regarding movement, protest, freedom of the press, a right to a trial and freedom to gather;
    -Use the emergency to suspend governmental institutions, consolidate power, reduce institutional checks and balances, and reduce access to elections and other forms of participatory governance;
    -Promote a sense of fear and individual helplessness, particularly in relationship to the state, to reduce outcry and to create a culture where people consent to the power of the fascist state;
    -Replace democratic institutions with autocratic institutions using the emergency as justification;
    -Create scapegoats for the emergency, such as immigrants, people of color, disabled people, ethnic and religious minorities, to distract public attention away from the failures of the state and the loss of civil liberties.
    These steps are currently in progress.
    This has largely been ignored by the mainstream news media
    amid the tumult of the coronavirus pandemic,
    white neo-fascists and other right-wing extremists have recently been caught planning or engaging in acts of political violence and other crimes.”

    –That “holy cow moment!”
    Remarkable results: The virus testing all pregnant women at an NYC hospital last month.
    215 women who gave birth from March 22 to April 4 were tested – four tested positive.
    29 of those women had no symptoms (asymptomatic) but also tested positive.
    This means one in 8 pregnant women tested positive for coronavirus = 13.5%.
    One in 8 is ten times the current number of confirmed cases in NYC!!
    Q: What does this finding mean for the general population….?
