The president of Liberty University said arrest warrants are out for journalists from The New York Times and ProPublica after both outlets published stories critical of his decision to partially reopen the school’s campus amid the coronavirus crisis
In this day of virtual reality, maybe it’s a virtual warrant for a “perceived” virtual assault. After all, the current WH operates in a virtual (parallel} reality.
The right thing would’ve been to release his delegates and endorse the presumptive nominee so we can move forward as a united party working on getting the mob boss fascist out of the WH. He’s pulling the same crap he did in 2016.
Often his actions don’t align with his rhetoric. He keeps talking about getting rid of the tRump administration as being the number one priority. But *like* tRump, the rhetoric seems to be for show. His actions only follow suit when it is in line with his agenda.
My brother just called to tell me my 23 yr old niece in Northern VA has tested positive for coronavirus. She’s been riding the bus to work with no mask or gloves. No protective gear at work either (she’s a leasing agent). A coworker is hospitalized and since she has symptoms, they gave her the test. She’s been sick for a couple weeks with moderate symptoms and she’s terrified. Not sick enough to go to the hospital but definitely having breathing difficulty. She’s quarantined at home with her Mom. Mom is asymptomatic but they’re assuming since she’s been exposed, it’s likely she has it too. He’s asked family not to her call expressing sympathy and offering her prayers out of fear it’ll just send her over the edge, cause she’s freaking out. I had him share that great breathing techniques video that’s been going on. I’m gonna collect cool movie & music ideas and fun things for her to do to keep her spirits up and keep her occupied while she works on recovering at home. Any ideas you have will be greatly appreciated. Remote prayers for a panic-free and speedy recovery are welcome too. 🙏🏾
Oh no, our dearest Dudette! Your music idea is excellent! One thing my worldwide Fam has been doing is food. In a funny way. We can either go Chef (showing, in photos, prep work, to plating) or just show a photo of end result, plated nicely, of course, but w/ totally Michelin level captions! 😅 So, w/ all the time differences involved, after getting photo of final result, we just text back thanking them: my breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner has arrived! 👀😜 This actually helped me re-work all those leftovers (you know, all those food items in itty bitty containers in yr fridge that you swear you’re going to eat the next day, still good but life cycle is limited), & those fresh produce you bought on a whim of hunger or desparate joy. So, my contribution thus far (I love to cook, but don’t follow recipes because I throw things together & miraculously it ends up delicious! 😜) was Leftover Stir Fry! It could also be soup or hearty stew. Hey! I’ve found it a centering exercise, a batik of what’s in your fridge! 💞😘

As someone with breathing difficulty, I’d like to recommend fresh ginger. I just peel and chew it if I’m short of breath. It relaxes the bronchial tract, making it easier to breath. Ginger candy, ginger tea, ginger and honey also help if a person does like straight ginger.

“Well first is the backdrop which is that a lot of communities, a lot of countries in the world start with not a lot of safety nets, and so already just the toll that our economic shutdown, our pandemic in western countries is causing in developing countries, is already massive in terms of job loss, farmers with have no place to send their produce because flights have ended, or shipping prices have gone way up…and so you already have an obliteration of economies in the developing world. And a pandemic is just starting to hit. And so for example, a month ago in Africa there were no reported cases. Now there are seven thousand. Bill Gates has warned that as many as 10 million people could be infected or could even die in Africa.”
SAMANTHA POWER: “So you have this…we in the U.S. are longing to get back to normal…before it is at all safe and it would be reckless to do so. But everybody wants to get back to normal, and how do we get back to normal when we are so connected either through trade, through the global supply chain which runs to places like Bangladesh which have really crowded, refugee camps…an incredibly large informal economic sector, lots of really overpopulated city areas, and an informal economy, again, that the bottom will fall out of it any day now.”
SAMANTHA POWER: “So you ask how is the US faring…I mean we go into the UN security council virtually or into the G7, and we want to fight over about whether this is the ‘Wuhan virus’ or what to call it! We’re not rolling up our sleeves and identifying a set of really different lines of effort that need to be pursued at once. Every head of state in the world is focused on their own people right now,
that goes without saying, but we’ve got to look just a little bit down the road in a way that we haven’t up to this point and that we have individuals who work for the US government who will be working on
domestic response and further preparedness, or catching up for the lack of preparedness, but we’ve a whole another crew of people who are capable of building a global coalition to share information,
to take advantage of the staggered spread of the disease, to pool insights as it relates to the experimentation going on now around vaccines, and to pool resources for those countries that will never have a two trillion dollar bailout for their communities. South Sudan has four ventilators.”
SAMANTHA POWER: “You know in the United States, we have 26 doctors for every 10,000 people,
in Africa there are three. And so when it comes to gloves and ventilators and protective equipment and so forth, the kinds of things we have scrambled to make available for our own health professionals,
I completely get that the thought of thinking about other people is really hard when our own frontline workers are struggling, but we’ve got to somehow build our manufacturing cycles or at least
pay for others to do so, so that those resources are made available, or again,
there will be a humanitarian catastrophe,
and the day where…the return to normalcy that we seek will be postponed even further than…
the United States currently projects.”
HAYES: “There is no universe where this just stays where it is. We’re all on the same planet as far as this virus is concerned.”
SAMANTHA POWER: “I think that’s really true. I mean the Trump mindset generally is so 18th century,
you know the notion that we can decouple from others…a wall that could insulate us from this.
We have just lived how unsustainable that is…So I think what’s happening right now is that the United States is a wall in terms of global leadership….But China has no experience for all of its clout…to fill the vacuum that the US has left in the last few years with Trump’s arrival and its retreat from international organization. It has no capacity to build the kind of coalition that I’m talking about…you need a combination of actors at the helm, and the U.S. and China need to be in relative partnership on this.”

Georgia’s primary election has been postponed once again due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new date for the primary, which will be both a primary election locally and a presidential preference primary is June 9.
The voter registration deadline for the June 9 election will be May 11. Early voting will begin on May 18. Moving the primary election to June 9 will move the primary runoff to August 11.
Absentee ballot applications for the upcoming primary election will continue to be accepted and processed by counties even if the application said May 19.

My brother just called to tell me my 23 yr old niece in Northern VA has tested positive for coronavirus. She’s been riding the bus to work with no mask or gloves. No protective gear at work either (she’s a leasing agent). A coworker is hospitalized and since she has symptoms, they gave her the test. She’s been sick for a couple weeks with moderate symptoms and she’s terrified. Not sick enough to go to the hospital but definitely having breathing difficulty. She’s quarantined at home with her Mom. Mom is asymptomatic but they’re assuming since she’s been exposed, it’s likely she has it too. He’s asked family not to her call expressing sympathy and offering her prayers out of fear it’ll just send her over the edge, cause she’s freaking out. I had him share that great breathing techniques video that’s been going on. I’m gonna collect cool movie & music ideas and fun things for her to do to keep her spirits up and keep her occupied while she works on recovering at home. Any ideas you have will be greatly appreciated. Remote prayers for a panic-free and speedy recovery are welcome too. 🙏🏾

Oh no, our dearest Dudette! Your music idea is excellent! One thing my worldwide Fam has been doing is food. In a funny way. We can either go Chef (showing, in photos, prep work, to plating) or just show a photo of end result, plated nicely, of course, but w/ totally Michelin level captions! 😅 So, w/ all the time differences involved, after getting photo of final result, we just text back thanking them: my breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner has arrived! 👀😜 This actually helped me re-work all those leftovers (you know, all those food items in itty bitty containers in yr fridge that you swear you’re going to eat the next day, still good but life cycle is limited), & those fresh produce you bought on a whim of hunger or desparate joy. So, my contribution thus far (I love to cook, but don’t follow recipes because I throw things together & miraculously it ends up delicious! 😜) was Leftover Stir Fry! It could also be soup or hearty stew. Hey! I’ve found it a centering exercise, a batik of what’s in your fridge! 💞😘

As someone with breathing difficulty, I’d like to recommend fresh ginger. I just peel and chew it if I’m short of breath. It relaxes the bronchial tract, making it easier to breath. Ginger candy, ginger tea, ginger and honey also help if a person does like straight ginger.

I constantly hear how Dem Senators and Reps should be VP or another position in the administration. I am with you in that we need to consider the entire picture. We need to keep the House and take over the Senate so we need to look at the forest not just the trees. We have many gifted top talents in the House and Senate and need to think about where they can do the most good for us and use their talents best. We do not want them replaced with a Republican due to having a Republican Governor.

“Well first is the backdrop which is that a lot of communities, a lot of countries in the world start with not a lot of safety nets, and so already just the toll that our economic shutdown, our pandemic in western countries is causing in developing countries, is already massive in terms of job loss, farmers with have no place to send their produce because flights have ended, or shipping prices have gone way up…and so you already have an obliteration of economies in the developing world. And a pandemic is just starting to hit. And so for example, a month ago in Africa there were no reported cases. Now there are seven thousand. Bill Gates has warned that as many as 10 million people could be infected or could even die in Africa.”
SAMANTHA POWER: “So you have this…we in the U.S. are longing to get back to normal…before it is at all safe and it would be reckless to do so. But everybody wants to get back to normal, and how do we get back to normal when we are so connected either through trade, through the global supply chain which runs to places like Bangladesh which have really crowded, refugee camps…an incredibly large informal economic sector, lots of really overpopulated city areas, and an informal economy, again, that the bottom will fall out of it any day now.”
SAMANTHA POWER: “So you ask how is the US faring…I mean we go into the UN security council virtually or into the G7, and we want to fight over about whether this is the ‘Wuhan virus’ or what to call it! We’re not rolling up our sleeves and identifying a set of really different lines of effort that need to be pursued at once. Every head of state in the world is focused on their own people right now,
that goes without saying, but we’ve got to look just a little bit down the road in a way that we haven’t up to this point and that we have individuals who work for the US government who will be working on
domestic response and further preparedness, or catching up for the lack of preparedness, but we’ve a whole another crew of people who are capable of building a global coalition to share information,
to take advantage of the staggered spread of the disease, to pool insights as it relates to the experimentation going on now around vaccines, and to pool resources for those countries that will never have a two trillion dollar bailout for their communities. South Sudan has four ventilators.”
SAMANTHA POWER: “You know in the United States, we have 26 doctors for every 10,000 people,
in Africa there are three. And so when it comes to gloves and ventilators and protective equipment and so forth, the kinds of things we have scrambled to make available for our own health professionals,
I completely get that the thought of thinking about other people is really hard when our own frontline workers are struggling, but we’ve got to somehow build our manufacturing cycles or at least
pay for others to do so, so that those resources are made available, or again,
there will be a humanitarian catastrophe,
and the day where…the return to normalcy that we seek will be postponed even further than…
the United States currently projects.”
HAYES: “There is no universe where this just stays where it is. We’re all on the same planet as far as this virus is concerned.”
SAMANTHA POWER: “I think that’s really true. I mean the Trump mindset generally is so 18th century,
you know the notion that we can decouple from others…a wall that could insulate us from this.
We have just lived how unsustainable that is…So I think what’s happening right now is that the United States is a wall in terms of global leadership….But China has no experience for all of its clout…to fill the vacuum that the US has left in the last few years with Trump’s arrival and its retreat from international organization. It has no capacity to build the kind of coalition that I’m talking about…you need a combination of actors at the helm, and the U.S. and China need to be in relative partnership on this.”

I happened to be in another country on the run-up to 2016 and saw the totally ridiculous and disgraceful botting on social media that created all the manufactaured Hell surrounding Bernie and Hillary.
And i saw what the media did that caused Trump to be elected.
We have to understand that the vultures stand by ready to do it again if Democrats are willing to gouge each other. Honestly I see intelligent people who are normally rational saying the most ridiculous things. And they want to believe those things. The truth is Bernie really, really, really, really cares about the working people of this country. And the corporations will do anything to stop that threat to their power and control.
Sanders is working with Joe now!
And has probably been working with Joe for months!!
Biden’s platform will be progressive and it needs to be.
Everything Joe said yesterday was how he WANTS to move on these essential issues WITH Bernie.

FACT: The policies Sanders fought long and hard for while being attacked by the corporations are entirely:
= Roosevelt-esque ideas.
= These ideas poll well and are favored by the majority of Americans.
= Not rad. Not socialist. Just popular common-sense.

Agree with you on policy for sure but I simply do not trust Bernie at all.
I do not trust Bernie, either. Not one little bit.
And not that I know anything for sure BUT Joe is not moving forward on “trusting” Bernie … he’s moving forward to bring Bernie along with him.
Joe sees right through Bernie and is putting his arm around his shoulder letting him think he’s “winning.” We’re not used to seeing a “con game” where the outcome is good for We The People, but there it is. Georgia’s primary election has been postponed once again due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new date for the primary, which will be both a primary election locally and a presidential preference primary is June 9.
The voter registration deadline for the June 9 election will be May 11. Early voting will begin on May 18. Moving the primary election to June 9 will move the primary runoff to August 11.
Absentee ballot applications for the upcoming primary election will continue to be accepted and processed by counties even if the application said May 19.
