–We must learn from the U.K. which has allowed all sundry of foreign entities to dissect and privatize transport, postal, you name it.

I remember many attempts to privatize the postal service. It has been somewhat privatized already having given the money maker portions of the post office to private mail and package services. The actual government run portion has been left with the more difficult money losing jobs. I also remember that the postal departments were required to pay ahead their retirements which affected their ability to run in the black. It was the only government department required to do that. I did not pay close attention to politics prior to Obama. I think this was happening while he was in office due to the GOP run Congress unless it was put in place prior to his taking office. Someone here may know the particulars to share better than I remember.

Have you noticed the Republicans are always for small Federal government and states rights? That is until they are in charge then they put States in charge so they can blame them for what goes wrong and shirk the Federal duties. They then can blame that the Federal government should not be in charge. They say everything should be privatized using their inept performance as a reason why big government does not work. Just like when they accuse the Democrats of wasteful spending after they have given tax cuts to the rich and corporations plus have spent too much money on the military requiring the Democrats to correct the situation if they get in office. If the GOP stay in office they then use the deficit as an excuse to cut most social programs. It seems they are going for a dictatorship now in addition to seeing how they can permanently be in command of whatever is left of this country.
