A young woman who works in the self-checkout area (have only been to the store once in quite a while) told me she’s working long hours, and about the virus “I think we should be getting extra pay”. Workers there receive rock bottom minimum wage. imo not only that she should have a real protections = real masks! (The latest problem with no union.) And management should be gladly providing a real mask. Her life is literally on the line to pay bills. Instead of essential workers being used like cannon fodder, can we at least thank them by protecting them?

Today was the first day we had screening at work, I had my temperature taken it was 97 point something. If it would have been above 100 I would have been sent home for 3 days mandatory.

Our Mayor London Breed declared an emergency on February 25th and ordered shelter in place on March 13. We are a major Pacific airline hub and tourist town and she had the vision to see we could end up in a catastrophic situation. I applaud her leadership and hope it will lessen the misery for our citizens.
