I just got home from 4 hours of stocking grocery store shelves at the local store I work at part-time. We were slammed the entire time. Here's what I saw:
I swear, some of us will die of a broken heart before all this is over. So many people trying to do their best but they are nearly broken from exhaustion and stress.
I am doing hard isolation because of my bout with pericarditis and pneumonia a few years ago. It took me nine weeks to recover. So I’m having stuff delivered but I miss all the lovely sweet and kind grocery clerks I encounter in my routine shopping runs who share stories about their families and their lives with great humor. Can’t imagine what they’re going through.

Trump and Kushner need to be investigated for corrupt acts surrounding the coronavirus. Whether it’s Trump’s stall in testing to coverup the number of ill and dead in America—or Kushner trying to make money off the virus. It’s pure corruption at a level we’ve never seen before.
The president is turning to racist rhetoric to distract from his failures to take the coronavirus seriously early on, make tests widely available, and adequately prepare the country for a period of crisis.

Senator Sherrod Brown (OH)
talking to Maddow…said Governor DeWine was anticipating school closures after only 3 people diagnosed as infected, and had been working on it for weeks while Trump was calling COV-19 a ‘hoax’.
But then waited too long. Then when poll workers said they wouldn’t show up…he shut down the polls. Brown hoping this leads to everybody voting by mail. Says DeWine shut the polls down in good faith and has done the right thing. Re: concerns that postponing primary might become permanent and Ohio lose delegates….Dems can file asking governor to set a date, and everybody votes by mail or early vote.
Agree! Sen. Brown said a good thing would be to assume
you ALREADY have the infection,
and act so as not to transmit it to others.
And model that.
Good to self-quarantine following contact with someone who has tested positive. Brown remarked on Trump standing shoulder to shoulder at the podium, while telling Americans to practice social distancing!

I am 73 years old with health issues and I am pissed off. Pissed at having to put whatever life I have left on hold due to an inadequate response by our President who choose to ignore reality in order to keep his reelection chances on track. He is not worthy of anyone's support.
The Trump Administration has in the past week sent incomplete coronavirus testing kits to states, expired medical face masks from an "emergency" supply, and promised to immediately deploy a Navy medical ship which is undergoing maintenance.
As we especially saw during the impeachment hearings, tRump’s MO is to just *say* something will or will not happen [something is or is not], and that’s sufficient to make it so.
Unfortunately, that is the case for 30%+ of the population.

“Trump Changed His Tune on Coronavirus Only After Watching Tucker Carlson Monologue”
“So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!” (Trump, March 9)
–DOW lost all gains since that (one of many) utter denial.
–COVID-19 is estimated 10 times worse than flu.

It’s horribly offensive. But Trump WANTS a debate over what the virus should be called NOT to be called to account for closing the pandemic office, minimizing the health & economic threat, losing weeks of preparation time and the scandal of far too little tests and equipment.

This! 😷
“Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, former White House health policy adviser, talks with Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes about the long term view of the spread of the novel coronavirus and the distinct possibility of a second surge and more of the novel coronavirus as containment policies are relaxed and then resumed over time.”

UGH, Axelrod has turned into a run-of-the-mill pundit. UGH>
All of the CNN pundits irks me. Axelrod has morphed into something that I don’t recognize anymore. That’s why I rarely watch CNN. Plouffe is the expert on winning elections. I trust him.
Yeh no rewrites for the little russian.
–prison time only.
Totally agree
Media do not rewrite before the ink is dry.
Call out his inevitable lies right away and then again, again, again.
Exactly
YES!!! Register to vote!

As we especially saw during the impeachment hearings, tRump’s MO is to just *say* something will or will not happen [something is or is not], and that’s sufficient to make it so.
Unfortunately, that is the case for 30%+ of the population.
It’s the algorithm 😒
“Trump Changed His Tune on Coronavirus Only After Watching Tucker Carlson Monologue”
“So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!” (Trump, March 9)
–DOW lost all gains since that (one of many) utter denial.
–COVID-19 is estimated 10 times worse than flu.
