In case you were wondering if this is really true. Wonder no more.

I’m not surprised at the level he sunk. We all know he craves recognition and praise and this would show he “saved” America.

Also read over at DU that PP tweeted Flynn might be pardoned.

Sometimes I think he is very good at trying to divert. Tweet something – and it’s usually outrageous (for lack of an apt word). And that will take the attn away from whatever it is that he wants the attention to be diverted from.

Also … has there been any sighting of Mulvaney, Barr and Rudy?

–Is there really a German vaccine?
–Is Trump trying to get himself or his friends private corporate ownership of it?

So much criminality! Airports in the US are a shitshow for returning passengers who have no hand sanitizer and are stuck in line for screening up to 7 hours. This is NOT social distancing! Fauci better stay more than 6 feet away from toxic tRump!

I was talking to someone today who said the only reason Biden started doing well in South Carolina is because the DNC had a talk with him and stepped in. That Jim Clyburne supporting him lifted him up. That before that he was stumbling with his campaign; forgot words and stumbled verbally. I’ve always loved Joe Biden and I felt like this was a repeat of the Bernie Bros saying the DNC rigged it for Hillary. I don’t watch the news or the debates, and I know a lot of you do. Did any of you see Biden forget words or stumble verbally? She said the DNC wanted him to win, so had a talk with him. This seems like bull shit to me as his campaign didn’t have as much money or offices as the others. Where was the DNC then? Also I think Biden’s campaign knew he would always do well in South Carolina because of the population, as Iowa and New Hampshire were very white.

Did anyone see Biden act in the way she said?

Simply put, NO. And the Media both mainstream and social media in my humble opinion has played a a very heavy handed role in trying to falsely shape people’s perceptions of Biden (and other Dems) all along because they want a horse race and drama. Have the person you spoke to today watch full you tube clips of Joe when he spoke just recently about his plan to address the pandemic, when he spoke after Super Tuesday. If it seems like bullshit to you (which you are correctly identifying) it is because it is in fact bullshit.

      March 15, 2020 at 6:54 pm

It’s not good to repeat things like this because some people will believe it. If in doubt, don’t because it will start one way be a whole other tale in no time. VP Biden with the support of Rep Clyburn re-tooled his campaign and the black folks, mainly black women gave him momentum.

IMO Joe has never been a great speaker. He is experienced, wise, caring, and honest. He is whom I support. He sometimes stumbles over words especially when he speaks quickly in particular at the beginning when nerves enter in. He has a history of being a stutterer. So to me considering the stuttering history he does well in debates and speaking. He is so much better than Donald Trump.

I’m here in CA (Los Angeles) and watched the entirety of Gov. Newsome’s press conference. I kind of forgot what it’s like to listen to a press conference where detailed information was provided, explanations and rationales given as to why and how guidance and directives were reached, how the most vulnerable parts of our CA population are being taken into consideration with real plans to try and protect them during this crisis. Answered many questions thoughtfully and completely and calmly even the ones that were clearly trying to gin up some clickbait headline to create more panic and hysteria. Didn’t badmouth Trump and the federal administration even though he clearly had a basis to do but instead gave the admin some props for the coordination efforts of the infected cruise ship in Oakland’s port. Gave credit were credit due not only to state officials and leaders of the tribal nations but also to Speaker Pelosi for everyone acting like adults and leaning in and meeting the moment head on to solve the problem. All without a teleprompter or notes or sniffing, or word salad or argle bargle arent I wonderful and great and all the other BS we are subjected to by Cheeto Satan and his incompetent sycophants and minions. Thank you Governor Newsome for your calm and steady LEADERSHIP.

I wish I remembered how to post. Here’s an excerpt
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – “Stopping short of a state order, Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday called for the home isolation of all seniors in the state of California and the immediate shutdown of bars, nightclubs, brew pubs and wineries to help stop the spread of coronavirus, now considered a global pandemic.

In addition, Newsom said all restaurants should reduce capacity by half and provide “deep social distancing.”

In terms of hospital visits, Newsom said there should be no more of these unless it was “end of life.” Finally, he said that on Monday, he may announce possibly halting evictions in California.”

BTW, I feel better today. Not 100% , but much better than the past two days. I know that it is likely allergies though I don’t usually have a major issue. Everything here is in full bloom with temps in the 60’s and 70’s all week. So much for winter. We really didn’t have any to speak of.

She was Police Chief in Orlando, FL.

From Wiki: “She attended Florida State University, graduating with a degree in criminology in 1979 … She continued her education at Webster University Orlando, earning a master’s degree in public administration in 1996.”

              From supremecourt.gov:

Are there qualifications to be a Justice? Do you have to be a lawyer or attend law school to be a Supreme Court Justice?

The Constitution does not specify qualifications for Justices such as age, education, profession, or native-born citizenship. A Justice does not have to be a lawyer or a law school graduate, but all Justices have been trained in the law. Many of the 18th and 19th century Justices studied law under a mentor because there were few law schools in the country.

              • March 15, 2020 at 11:26 pm

Exactly, Jacqueline. In fact, her background is so broadly based in the application of the rule of law she would be an incredible asset to #SCOTUS. And, she’s one of the most articulate individuals I’ve ever had the privilege to experience.

The best law grads in the Country would want to clerk for her – and so would a bunch of other talented individuals with skills beyond being a lawyer.

Sounds beautiful to me. (I used to live in that area, and my friend who lives nearby volunteered some hours on her campaign and had a few other dialogues with her, and raves about her.)

Also, don’t forget all those unqualified “lawyers” the GOP have been pushing into high positions. Rep. Val Demings has more than proven herself.

Our daughter works at a Chick-Fil-A. They had a store meeting this afternoon. (Planned weeks ago.). Lots of talk and questions about the virus. They fully expect to go to all drive thru by end of this week. Those not trained on that were asking would they have a job. Scott, the owner, assured them he will keep everyone working as long as possible. He said they will find things for them to do……..DEEP clean every inch of the store, etc. As he told Laura after the meeting, when the store is not operating, he doesn’t get a check either.

Schools in VA closed. Laura spent most of yesterday finding materials, websites, etc. for our granddaughter to work on. She came up with a daily schedule. 18 yr. old grandson has to supervise his sister every day. They refuse for us to come so they are on their own. Dad, who is stationed at the Pentagon (Secretary of the Navy’s office) is very hands off, unconcerned, offering no emotional support or understanding. But, he IS busy “being happy.” (Reason he gave for wanting divorce.)

Laura and I keep saying we are ALL in this together, Like the war effort.

Supreme Court postpones upcoming oral arguments, which include Trump’s financial records case

The Supreme Court said it is postponing its next round of oral arguments, scheduled to begin Monday, because of concerns over the coronavirus. It appears to be the first time the court has scheduled such a recess since 1918, during the Spanish flu outbreak.
