I was a Mayor Pete supporter. So proud of him. He does look like Spock’s intern 🙂 . His campaign made sure all us Pete supporters embraced Joe Biden…we are now all Ridin with Biden.

“How a country serious about coronavirus does testing and quarantine:
Donald McNeil, science and health reporter for the New York Times, talks with Rachel Maddow about how China handles a person who may have contracted the novel coronavirus, with an eye on breaking the chains of transmission and protecting hospitals from being overwhelmed, and with a process that stands in stark contrast with the U.S. for its competence.”

Trump some time ago refused World Health Organization COVID-19 test kits…we know it was about denial for one thing. But was it also about who makes the test kits, investments, and potential for money-making?
(Same with hand cleanser)….Trump has dollar signs on his eye balls.

    If @realDonaldTrump
wants the nation to have faith in his leadership, he would take the #coronavirus test and share the results with the public. Given his contacts with infected or possibly infected persons, he needs to set an example. And the public has a right to know.

      • March 13, 2020 at 8:48 pm

I believe he does too Dudette. That’s why he refuses to take the test, he already knows via his ‘personal physician’ and fears it would become public knowledge if he takes one we know about. Of course, he could care less about infecting any of his staff or others he comes into contact with daily… like all those reporters at the coronavirus meeting today.

“Despite mounting pleas from California and other states, the Trump administration isn’t allowing states to use Medicaid more freely to respond to the coronavirus crisis by expanding medical services.
In previous emergencies, including the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Hurricane Katrina and the H1N1 flu outbreak, both Republican and Democratic administrations loosened Medicaid rules to empower states to meet surging needs.”

Allowing states to use Medicaid in response to the novel virus:
“would conflict with Trump’s repeated efforts to downplay the seriousness of the epidemic.”
““If they wanted to do it, they could do it,” said Cindy Mann, who oversaw the Medicaid program in the Obama administration and worked with states to help respond to the H1N1 crisis in 2009.””

And even if the election was delayed, Trump’s and Pence’s terms would still end at noon on January 20, 2021. If no election has been held by that point, the Speaker of the House would assume the powers of the presidency under the Presidential Succession Act.

No, Trump cannot use his executive powers, even in a national emergency, to delay the November 2020 election. Only Congress can set the date of the presidential election.
