Looking at the stock market losses over the last few days.

I am thinking about the many (mainly rich people) who have consistently said that is did not matter what Individual 1 does as long as the market and their investment or 401K were growing.

Now we have the resulting bear market indicating that you can’t guarantee the future profitability.

But these looses that are occurring show that you can loose it all and you can’t take it with you when the Lord calls you home.

Do they see the irony of having their incompetent friend to be the accelerator in the process that negatively affects their bottom line .

I wonder how many are re-assessing this moral bankruptcy they have displayed and what they have prioritized

I guess Sarah Palin has found her Funnybones. I truly was not expecting to laugh with her. I saw this & didn’t look away. I actually laughed with her version of entertainment. I hope it eases our collective nerves from the Dangerous Orange from Last night.

Putin is setting himself up to stay in power until 2036.
Can we allow ourselves to see all the ways he and other foreign powers are setting the table for themselves here? Don’t let them buy up America…this happened in U.K.
—We can decide to unify, make peace, reset the compass, administer justice, embrace new future.

    • March 12, 2020 at 11:42 am

Legislation that puts families first: 8.3. Billion passed last week.
free coronavirus testing by and large for everyone in the country…no one will say I can’t afford it….
paid emergency leave…14 paid sick days…unemployment insurance…extends protections to furloughed workers…strengthens the food security initiative…children who get food security from being in school and schools are closed, food already paid for, question of getting the food to the children, school lunch program, SNAP, helping people with disabilities have access to food, helping non-profits.
–More testing and stopping the spread of coronavirus.

Trump showed how much he doesn’t understand the science by making an “exception” for U.K.
And how much those around him are kissing his backside. There are no COVID-19 magic pills in U.K. We’ve learned by now that Trump’s business and commercial interests come before everything else…so I’d be asking Boris about that one.

    In this conversation,
    (Rachel) Bitecofer explains that,
“contrary to idealistic theories of folk democracy, the American voter is largely unsophisticated,
knows few specifics about public policy and makes decisions based on emotions and partisanship.
She also explains her theory that there are not many true “swing voters.”
Moreover, she argues that the Democratic Party is wasting time and energy trying to recruit “right-leaning” independents to support their candidates. Bitecofer also explains how the Democratic Party has failed at marketing and branding itself in a positive way — with the result being an extremist and dangerous
Republican Party that has been able to misrepresent itself to the American people as being somehow “moderate” and “reasonable.”

“No matter how bad Donald Trump is, 90% of Republicans are going to vote for him on Election Day.”

    • March 12, 2020 at 1:11 pm

imo the contents of this interview are important to acknowledge.
And more background for why Joe Biden must quickly work on the progressive policies laid out by Warren and Sanders – yes to bring in their voting base – but to finally lift up American workers, and give
      young people hope.

Wow. Joe Biden gave his remarks on coronavirus – I watched him on CNN. On the converse, for three years plus, we’ve seen and heard nothing but criticisms (even eye rolls and mocks) of some sort or another following each of trump’s idiotic speeches or remarks or press conferences. Following Joe’s remarks, the CNN host – Brianna Keilar (who usually likes to play devil’s advocate) – and her two guests had nothing but positive comments about what he presented and how he presented it. I kept waiting for the “but” and it didn’t come. Joe also said his plan would be on his campaign website, inviting all of us to look at it – and saying he wouldn’t mind (Ha!) if trump took advantage of it.

Can’t wait until our country returns to this kind of normalcy. It was such a relief to watch Joe, talking truth as he sees it and convincing at least an audience of four (the CNN folks and me!!!). I had almost forgotten what that feels like and how much I miss that.

I think I shall go take a siesta to celebrate!
