If Bloomberg’s team is digging up all these videos of Bernie, kudos to them! I am SO darn scared about this mess. I just want Biden/Abrams ticket so I can breathe.

Trump plans to name Richard Grenell, the U.S. ambassador to Germany, as acting director of national intelligence

Grenell, a staunch supporter of President Trump, particularly on social media, has sparked controversy in Europe almost from the moment he became ambassador. It is unclear whether Trump intends to nominate Grenell to fill the top intelligence post on a permanent basis, which would require Senate confirmation, according to people familiar with the matter.

Bernie Sanders got so close to running a primary challenge to President Barack Obama that Senator Harry Reid had to intervene to stop him.

It took Reid two conversations over the summer of 2011 to get Sanders to scrap the idea, according to multiple people who remember the incident, which has not been previously reported.

I know that I am voting for VP Biden. I have given a lot of thought to who has earned my vote based on their records over a lifetime. I will do what I can to vocally and practically support him.

Are people really thinking long-term or are they swept up in the day to day moments?

I am broke as they come but I am very surprised at how money is influencing people’s choice of candidate.

    • February 20, 2020 at 2:14 am

That would indicate leadership, for sure.

As noted up thread, he’s compromised, as is Bernie.

But, in Bloomberg’s case he has significant wealth and if he focuses it on supporting Dem candidates from Mayor to US Senate & House as you suggest Jacqueline, and also uses his vast information technology platform to help protect the 2020 Election from attack, and continues his absolutely stunning series of videos about Trump he could have a major beneficial impact on our Democracy.

It seems that there are no candidates in the Democratic primary who are planning to drop out soon.

How much time do voters need to recognize that their candidate has no clear path forward and that it would be best to support someone else? That someone is one who has the majority of support among the groups that are traditionally allied with core democratic values .

I didn’t watch the debate last night because I was too busy watching reruns of “Holmes on Homes,” I love that show. Anyways, as expected Bloomberg got his ass handed to him by just about everyone. A businessman is no match for a seasoned politician and Bloomberg found out the hard way.

Johnathan Capehart says that his Aunt Gloria is still “Riden with Biden”…but his Mom is leaning towards Bloomberg…he says that they both share a common goal….DEFEAT Trump!

    This is what i say

i understand…but it has to be more than a defeat of Trump that we want….we have to continue our move towards the dismantlement of white supremacy & white nationalism thru #TruthAndReconcilation…That is the lens that i am looking thru …to determine whom to vote for..

Give Republicans some time and they will show their true colors. I don’t trust any of these “Never Trumpers” like Jennifer, Ed/Reid (whatever his name is), Bill Kristol, etc.

They don’t hate what Trump is doing, they just hate the packaging. At the end of the day, they’re all grifters and anyone who falls for their BS has only themselves to blame.

I have to resign myself that I would vote for a serial socialist like Sanders who is always mad as hell on stage and always, always pointing his fingers at me through my TV set.

Last night was the first debate I watched live; generally, I wait for the SNL versions which depict the behavior of some of these candidates more accurately than my eyes can see in a two-hour show.

Since when having money was a capital sin? Did Bloomberg steal somebody’s coffers? Yes, we must change tax laws to balance the distribution of wealth, but frankly, will Bernie’s tax law will make me a millionaire like him? Where was this hatred for the rich coming from? Bernie and his abject obsession on millionaires and billionaires are playing right into Trump’s hands.

That which is not said…an excerpt from wiki for the record.
      SEN.ELIZABETH WARREN:
“was formerly a law school professor specializing in bankruptcy law. A member of the Democratic Party and a progressive, Warren has focused on consumer protection, economic opportunity, and the social safety net while in the Senate. Warren is also a Democratic candidate in the 2020 United States presidential election.
Warren is a graduate of the University of Houston and Rutgers Law School
and has taught law at several universities, including the University of Houston, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard University. She was one of the most influential professors of bankruptcy law before beginning her political career. She has authored five and and coauthored six books, and written dozens of articles.”
      –stunning, just stunning.

Fed time is 85% of a sentence which would equal out to 34 months confinement. Once parole and a possible home confinement and other variables are introduced, Stone will probably do around 24 months.

One more thing about Bernie’s “plurality means I win” .

The Sanders campaign is running less like primary contestants who need to build a winning coalition and more like a hostile takeover. It’s a revolution. Four years ago, his actions regarding plurality were totally opposite to today’s stance.

    God help us!

Yes, God help us No Child. Bernie Sanders is all in this for his arrogant, noncompromising self. He is forever maligning corporations, billionaires and millionaires. Unfortunately those folks vote also. One of the things that I liked about PBO was being inclusive of all Americans.

    Hello, Beloved TODville Community.
As always, Nerdy Wonka is a Gift that keeps giving.
I’ve lurked for weeks, without commenting.
    I watched the Debate.
    Unfortunately, Bernie Sanders was unscathed.
I’m hoping also, not a popular view, that Mike Bloomberg keeps up with his ads in places like AR, OK, AZ, etc. I hope he also zeros in on Sanders. McGovern was honest, served this nation lost 49 States. Bernie won’t lose 49 States but the House & the Senate will be hard should he get the nomination.

19M+ watched MSNBC & NBC. I don’t know about Television & Live Streaming audiences.
