I am leaving next Tuesday for a month in DC, actually Falls Church, VA. My daughter’s MIL and myself will be babysitting our two Grandsons both under two years while their Daddy is back in Germany. My daughter has a high powered job that involves lots of hours of work so we two are stepping in for their Dad. He will be getting their condo ready to lease after renters just left. His Mom does not speak much English and I speak no German so hope this works out. I am taking my iPad with me so intend to stay in touch.

There was one time in my life where my four adult kids (2 boys, 2 girls) were in four different countries. At least now they are all in the USA. None are in my state though. That is what I get for raising them to be strong, independent, intelligent adults. Oh well, it gives me interesting places to go to visit them and gather at to get together.

I maybe one of the people who are wondering if someone is manipulating public opinion.

I am wondering about the poll that was released show how he is gaining support among African American voters.

      WHY the timing?

WHY was just in time to come at a time when people were second-guessing other candidates? Are people really that easy to buy off?

I think there will be a related story …. too much coincidence.

I am sticking with the candidate ranking I had previously made … and I am watching others.

Aside from Bloomberg and his messy history as it relates to stop and frisk and his economic ideas also as it relates to the middle class and the poor. Why are we so quick to assume just because a person made or inherited a billion dollars, that somehow that person has the wherewithal to govern a country? Its one thing to sit in a boardroom and buy and sell stock, its quite another thing to order an airstrike in a foreign country, or write a policy that effects millions and millions of citizens. You look at Obama and Clinton, two Presidents that came from very humble beginnings. They both turned out to be great Presidents, and converse that with the last two Republican Presidents that came from money, did their administrations fare?

Our number one goal is to vote trump out of office, but how do you vote for someone that had a policy that basically called for shaking down of the black and brown? The African American has always had to vote for the lesser to two evils, even if that candidate is from the same political party. If you aren’t AA it is easy to say “get over” stop and frisk, but if you’re one of those men or boys that was Stopped and Frisked who do you vote for?

I really do hope that Biden wins the Democratic nomination, I really really do. I think Biden is the only one that can beat trump. Bernie is out here promising all kinds of free shit with no clear way of getting the votes to do so even if he gets elected. Warren has gone into witness protection, Bootleg running around the country trying to imitate President Obama and he doesn’t seem to have any discernable platform that I can see. And Steyer, this motherfucker doesn’t seem to know that he’s running for the Presidency. Klobuchar seems to have the breadth and width to be President, she might have the chops if tested, but she hasn’t commanded the room.

      I have the same hopes.

I trust VP Joe Biden. He is a man of deep personal integrity.

I know that when the time comes to make hard decisions, and a bunch of policy makers forget about people like me who need help the most, VP Biden will speak up and represent my interests.

He has the record and the experience to do what is needed at this time.

VP Biden will appoint the people who are qualified to do the job.

I also know that he will protect President Obama’s legacy and work to fill in the gaps that we know couldn’t be done.

I heard the many times President Obama said “My Brother Joe” … I do not think he meant it lightly.

“Former Bush Deputy Attorney General Calls Bill Barr Unfit To Hold His Office”
““I don’t think [Barr] is fit for the office,”
the former deputy AG said. “I think what he has done is to undertake a campaign essentially to undermine the Department of Justice as it was reformed and as we’ve all lived with for the last 45 years.
The problem is that we’re losing an ability to have confidence that the department is not going to be influenced by improper forces.””

Trump is a lying dick bar none.

“Trump administration begins blowing up and descrating Native land to build his pointless wall.”
“…contractors hired by Customs and Border Patrol were blasting away at sections of the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The bombing area, while not a part of the Tohono O’odham Nation’s lands,
is a site that has been identified as “a burial ground for Apache warriors.”
This is all being done in order to build a 30-foot, 63-mile-long wall to separate the boundary between Arizona and Mexico.
Tohono O’odham Nation officials says they have not been consulted in any way on this change in tactics by the Trump administration.”

Excerpt from Chief Seattle’s Letter to All:
    “The shining water
that moves in the streams and rivers is not just water, but the blood of our ancestors.
If we sell you our land, you must remember that it is sacred. Each glossy reflection in the clear waters of the lakes tells of events and memories in the life of my people. The water’s murmur is the voice of my father’s father.
The rivers are our brothers. They quench our thirst.
They carry our canoes and feed our children.
So you must give the rivers the kindness that you would give any brother.
If we sell you our land, remember that the air is precious to us, that the air shares its spirit with all the life that it supports. The wind that gave our grandfather his first breath also received his last sigh.
The wind also gives our children the spirit of life.
So if we sell our land, you must keep it apart and sacred, as a place where man can go to taste the wind that is sweetened by the meadow flowers.
Will you teach your children what we have taught our children?
That the earth is our mother? What befalls the earth befalls all the sons of the earth.
This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it.
Whatever he does to the web,
    he does to himself.”

Chief Seattle (more correctly known as Seathl) was a Susquamish chief who lived on the islands of the Puget Sound. As a young warrier, Chief Seattle was known for his courage, daring and leadership. He gained control of six of the local tribes and continued the friendly relations with the local whites that had been established by his father. His now famous speech was believed to have been given in December, 1854.”

    • February 14, 2020 at 3:25 pm

Seathl was born some time between 1780 and 1786 on the Black River near Kent, Washington. One source cites his mother’s name as Wood-sho-lit-sa. He died June 7, 1866, on the Suquamish reservation at Port Madison, Washington.

    “Barr created an outside team
that has been secretly tearing apart Stone and Flynn cases for weeks.”
“Seen in this light, the resignation of the four prosecutors on the Roger Stone case wasn’t a snap response
to a single instance of Barr overruling their decisions. It was the endgame following weeks in which the entire U.S. attorney’s office in Washington was subject to badgering from a team of hand-selected political hit men,
brought in to second-guess every action and undermine each decision.”
    –BARR: Resign or be Impeached.

  46. February 14, 2020 at 5:43 pm

“9 Senate Democrats call on Barr to resign over ‘clear violation of your duty'”
“Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Richard Blumenthal, Ed Markey, Patty Murray, Jeff Merkley, Chris Van Hollen,
Ron Wyden, Bernie Sanders, and Mazie Hirono signed the letter.
They point out that, in addition to “interven[ing] in a clearly political fashion to undermine the administration of justice at the President’s behest in order to protect a well-connected political ally,”
Barr’s action “demonstrates that you lied to Congress during your confirmation hearing
when you stated that you would ‘keep the enforcement process sacrosanct from political influence.’”

“President Donald Trump is proposing to divert another $3.8 billion from the Pentagon to pay for his border wall…
And there is now a new trick that makes it easy to circumvent the structure.
Smugglers in Juárez have engineered camouflage hook-and-ladders made of rebar that blend in so well with the border wall that it can be hard to detect, according to U.S. Border Patrol.
The ladders are the same rust brown color as the mesh panels or steel beams of the fence,”
