Thrilled for everyone associated with American Factory! Do you think there was a message for #AgentOrange in the 4 Oscars won by Parasite? Watching their shock and amazement was a highlight, although their film turned into too much of a horror movie for my tastes. I am a wimp!

I read that in Iowa, quite a few Democrats did not pick Joe Biden because of the Hunter Biden thing. They thought there must be something to it, so they preferred Sanders or Buttigeg. Mud sticks even when it’s totally fabricated. I am fearful for the final nominee.

“A spokesperson for AWS (Amazon Web Services) told CNBC in a statement:
“President Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his willingness to use his position as President and Commander in Chief to interfere with government functions — including federal procurements — to advance his personal agenda. The preservation of public confidence in the nation’s procurement process requires discovery and supplementation of the administrative record, particularly in light of President Trump’s order to ‘screw Amazon.’ The question is whether the President of the United States should be allowed to use the budget of the DoD
to pursue his own personal and political ends.”

—Now Amazon wants to depose Trump the cheapo little dictator in the WH.

Yes, so grateful to Rachel. Also Nicolle Wallace doesn’t either. I saw a tweet this afternoon asking: Is it just me or is MSNBC purposely sabotaging Biden’s campaign? Nearly every response said “Yes.” I’ve started listening a lot more to Dean Obeidellah and really enjoy him. Listening to him right now. 🙂

MSNBC actually started bashing Biden before he got in the race. It seems that Mika and Joe has Buttigieg on every other day and after every debate. He is definitely a media darling.

          • 50 jacquelineoboomer
            February 11, 2020 at 1:19 am

Totally agree. Another thing I noticed tonight. One of the MSNBC contributors (forget her name) said something like … Well, after we get through Iowa and New Hampshire, and then Nevada and South Carolina, we’ll need to wait for Super Tuesday to see who the real frontrunner is …

… totally discounting the fact that the two states after the first two might actually have MORE FREAKIN’ DIVERSITY IN THE VOTER POOL, not be 95% white in their totals, and might actually consider people who are known in minority communities as actually caring about their interests, instead of faking that part.

I thought this was the DEMOCRATIC primary. It’s getting more like crazytown every day, and we must get our acts together to win against trump.

      Trump craves attention.

When I was an elementary teacher and would have a disruptive student it was totally necessary to ignore the student at the point in time when the behavior was used to seek attention. Of course with a child it was also necessary to find other opportunities to give them attention which usually came from lack of confidence and lack of modeling for positive behaviors. It was necessary to look for appropriate behaviors to reward with attention besides ignoring improper behaviors. It is possible to shape a child’s behaviors.

Trump is in his seventies and far beyond having his behaviors shaped. He has had a lifetime of using manipulative improper behaviors and having been rewarded with attention. I say the media should quit interviewing him since he only lies anyway. Do research on his actions and present that rather than giving him a platform to turn his attention seeking improper behavior into a winning formula.

If Sanders wins the nomination…it will spell the end of the Democratic Party

      • 58 Betsy
        February 11, 2020 at 8:50 am

This is my fear. My D and son-in-law think Bernie is the best for the D party. She doesn’t consider herself a Democrat and she thinks I’m too loyal to the party. I’ve tried to tell her about him based on what I learned 4 years ago, but she says that’s old stuff. She thinks gov’t has to be blown up in order to work again, smh. She doesn’t understand, so…. The good news is they both hate Trump with a passion and will vote for the Dem. nominee for sure. I’m just so discouraged that they like Sanders.

        • February 11, 2020 at 8:52 am

Ask them what will happened to those folks along the margins…if the government blows up…some folks have such a romantic vibe about this….they do not think about what it actually means

I don’t like to admit I like reality shows, but I am picky other than the Bachelor franchise. Mostly I like shows where people are trying to break into a career area. All of us on TOD seem to have the common interest of politics too.

              February 11, 2020 at 1:17 am

The Voice is another one where people are trying to “make it.” I like those reality shows too. Your ranking of the MSNBC shows are same as mine. But, as I mentioned above, currently I am upset and disappointed with most of them because of what they are doing to Uncle Joe.

              • 72 Obama Grandmama
                February 11, 2020 at 12:22 pm

I watch The Voice too, but had to choose only five.

I am afraid all the 24/7 news outlets are into the ratings measurement game. They try to create controversy to get a bigger audience. No clear cut winner spreads the current audience interest further. In reality I think it creates an uncomfortable “What’s the use!” attitude. The networks pretty much gave Trump the election by broadcasting almost all his rallies. Trump was an oddity reminding me of Archie in “All in the Family”. Archie was a verbally abusive cranky old bigot. Instead of abhorring his behavior America came to love him. Not me, I was demoralized that behavior was accepted.

Joe was never much of a campaigner. He always showed his experience and caring when speaking though. We have firsthand knowledge of who he is with his eight years in the administration and his years as a Senator. I am afraid the stupid Ukraine story has damaged his chances in many people’s mind. Hunter seemed to be the opposite of Beau and made poor choices. Most everyone on our side is very afraid of Trump getting a second term. I think Joe’s handlers are making a mistake by remaking Joe into an angry old man erasing his kindness and replacing it with a barking mad dog quality. No matter whom we choose Trump and his crime syndicate will damage their election chances.

BARR = Crime boss and key to American dictatorship.
Besides stating he will now accept private citizen Giuliani’s fabricated ‘info’ from Ukraine,
(for which Giuliani is being investigated, and for which Trump was impeached):
“Attorney General William Barr has further cemented his boss’ monarchical powers.
Last Wednesday, Barr issued a mandate that no presidential candidates, their campaigns or senior staff are to be investigated without his personal approval. As a practical matter this means that Donald Trump is free to break the law at will — and that the Democratic Party’s candidates will be subjected to frivolous investigations and other forms of harassment.
Trump’s Republican servants have also promised to expunge his impeachment if and when they regain control of the House of Representatives in the future.”
