I worked as a civilian employee of the Navy for 30 years and I never met an enlisted person or officer who wanted war. Their lives are in OUR hands, in any event. Idiot trump needs to go back to his godawful private life now.

        This pisses me off!

I think my cynicism and my not-giving-a-fuckness has reached an all time high. But I am buoyed by the fact that if I dig a little deeper I will possibly find more not-giving-a-fuckness.

The run-up to Trump getting elected President wasn’t done under a shroud of secrecy. Trump voters knew exactly who and what he was, Trump didn’t pull the wool over their eyes, they voted for Trump with their eyes wide open. And if somehow Trump resigns or get voted out of office those same voters will vote for another Republican with the same ideas as Trump, but a little more civil. A Trump voter will always be a Trump voter, that’s how they are wired.

    Rebecca Belmore:
“As an Indigenous woman, my female body speaks for itself. Some people interpret the image of this reclining figure as a cadaver. However, to me it is a wound that is on the mend. It wasn’t self-inflicted, but nonetheless, it is bearable. She can sustain it. So it is a very simple scenario: she will get up and go on, but she will carry that mark with her. She will turn her back on the atrocities inflicted upon her body and find resilience in the future. The Indigenous female body is the politicized body, the historical body. It’s the body that doesn’t disappear.”

I am going to hold on in hope for a while – hoping 20 days is enough to get a result that I believe in — hint, I am about survival at this moment and not in a position to take a chance with a second term for Individual 1

      Sorry.
      Some stuff you have to….
Sanders is anti-fossil fuels and the corporations that are killing us. Meanwhile Putin wants sanctions lifted.
If that happens Putin + Exxon will unleash the biggest petroleum basin in the world.
      And we are talking $trillions,
that this kleptocrat and friends will use against us all.
“The West Siberian Basin is the largest oil and gas producing region in the FSU, both in the geographical area it covers and the recoverable oil and gas that it contains. The basin covers an area of approximately 3.4 million square kilometres which is more than twice the size of the state of Alaska.”
= I don’t think the Kremlin wants Bernie Sanders in the WH.

    “For First Time Ever,
Scientists Identify How Many Trees to Plant and Where to Plant Them to Stop Climate Crisis”
“Around 0.9 billion hectares (2.2 billion acres) of land worldwide would be suitable for reforestation,
which could ultimately capture two thirds of human-made carbon emissions.
The Crowther Lab of ETH Zurich has published a study in the journal Science that shows this would be the most effective method to combat climate change….
In their latest study, the researchers showed for the first time where in the world new trees could grow and
how much carbon they would store.”

Wow, hadn’t imagined that icy Jupiter moons might one day support life…
“In about 7.5 billion years, the sun…will start expanding.
Eventually it will swell to about 200 times its current size. It will swallow Mercury and Venus, and make Earth uninhabitable. But currently frigid locations in the solar system, like the icy moons of Saturn and Jupiter, might become just the right temperature for life.”
“When the sun expands into a red giant, it will overtake the current orbits of Mercury, Venus and Earth. The planets will move away from the star as it expands, allowing Earth to just barely escape being engulfed.”
—Jus’ thinkin’ if we stop using fossil fuels and let the Sun be our guardian angel, and we survive for a long time,
—we will probably not look or operate anything ike the way we do now!

Katie Sowers began her American football career playing in the Women’s Football Alliance.
Right now she’s an offensive assistant with the San Francisco 49ers (since 2017) and the team is about to win (just won very strongly) the divisional playoff and will go to the NFC championship.
