PENCE HOLEY WHITE LIES: Pence lying about Soleimani and 9/11.
Soleimani’s name is NOT in the 9/11 Commission’s report.
FACT: “9/11 Commission “found no evidence that Iran or Hezbollah was aware of the planning for what later became the 9/11 attack.”
“Indeed, the very idea doesn’t appear to make sense: there’s no reason Soleimani, a leader of Shiite force, would “assist” Sunni terrorists. Soleimani was actually a fierce opponent of Saudi Arabia, where most of
    the 9/11 hijackers were from.”
“It’s true that the 9/11 Commission found that some of terrorists passed through Iran,
but there’s nothing connecting Soleimani to the hijackers or Iran’s border policies.” (Steve Benen)

    • January 7, 2020 at 12:30 am

Informing them of more lies. That platform isn’t necessary. We got lies on teevee, we got lies on Twitter, we got lies on Facebook, we got lies in every paper. But my TP. That doesn’t lie, just wipes the necessary. 😂 (Damn, there’s a song in here!) 👄💃

I detest Bernie Sanders even more than I did the last time he ran. And you wonder why Black folks are not supporting him in large numbers. I can Still smell the stench from his campaign in 2016.

J’OB, am thinking the media is pushing their own stale narrative in hopes of ratings. We-The-People need to stay steady & vote.

And the way they’ve been carrying on (MSM & GOP) there’s definitely fear. Thus the ugly (& God isn’t at all cool w/ ugly). Let’s all go on & feel free to yell in capital letters whatever gives you gumption to move to yr groove & vote! EFF, coz we’re so coming for y’all! In the best EFFING way. Vote. And their compromised arses will be compost, at best! 😂 EFFING YEAH! (DF, I think I’m out of my Eff quotas, take over till the 15th. Promise I’ll pick up the slack for sure on the 32nd! 😂 LOL, sorry couldn’t resist that funny. A while back I was w/ my young son in a grocery store in RSA & this random guy approached us & said: “Aah, but sissy (means sister), I’ll buy you a dozen red roses on the 32nd!” I fell out laughing, he’d said his line & then went on to other aisles!) Anyhoo, I can sing 🎶Eff is before Gee🎶! 😂😇

NO WAY I trust that creep Bolton. He’s had a raging hard-on for years for a massive, multi-theater war. Remember “We’re doing Irag and then we’ll do Iran and N. Korea.” I think he got the aggression on Iran he dreamed about and pushed for, for years. Now in return he’ll LIE HIS NASTY ASS OFF for Prez Fuckface. Devil’s bargain!

Had a similar reaction on the “why now?” part! His ego is huge and he wants to be part of the “action.” He thinks a good couple hundred lies will do the trick, at just the right time. Make it stop!

HELP! HELP! HELP! I’m locked out of my twitter account. Yesterday, while on twitter, my timeline went away and the following screen appeared:

    “Verify your phone number
Receive a text message with a confirmation code on your mobile phone number +*******####. You’ll use the code to verify this is really your number.

Message and data rates from your carrier may apply for text messages.”

I hit button to receive text msg; don’t get one; so I hit “resend;” don’t get text; rinse and repeat — apparently, too many times; now I’m locked out.

QUESTION: Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can get my account unlocked? They have the correct last four digits correct; the only thing I can think of is that one of the masked prefix numbers is incorrect. I don’t want to start over with a new account…

    Thanks.

“House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said that if Adam Schiff would not have impeached Trump, the president would not have attacked Iran.” (politicus.usa)
Eh if the fake C-I-C did not behave like mafia scum, it would not’ve been necessary.
—Oh so McCarthy does agree that Trump is a loose cannon.

“Soleimani’s name does not appear in the 9/11 Commission’s report…
But given the broader circumstances, the fact that Pence made a highly dubious claim
is less important than why he made It….the administration may be looking for legal justifications for last week’s airstrike, and it likely sees value in tying the offensive to the 2001 AUMF (authorization for the use of military force), which empowers the White House to use “appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred
    on September 11, 2001.”

    • January 7, 2020 at 12:26 pm

WHY Pence is touring the country desperately telling that lie:
“But let’s also not overlook the domestic political debate.
Team Trump wants the public to support the president’s incredibly dangerous strategy toward Iran,
and the White House is likely aware of the fact that most Americans were wholly unaware of Soleimani before last week. It’s against this backdrop that Pence – or whoever writes his tweets – told the public there’s reason to connect Soleimani to 9/11, reality be damned, perhaps hoping the public wouldn’t know the difference.” (Benen)

  40. January 7, 2020 at 12:38 pm

Colin Kahl on Hayes last night explained that for Iranians:
Soleimani was their 2nd highest government official with a role much like our CIA/Secretary of State.
Their perception is not one of a mastermind killer – that Americans sees.
–imo it is important to understand this.

    • January 7, 2020 at 1:41 pm

imo we are at a near-fascist moment.
Libertarians/neolibs playing the long game have put us in the same position of many Fascist movements:
= A shredded democratic system in which our our institutions serve (viz fossil fuel) corporations.

        Exactly! We knew!

No Republican (‘leader’ or otherwise) has surprised me in YEARS so I’m no longer saddened, disappointed or whatever when they don’t step up. I’m more saddened when I see the media initially pumping them up when a new situation arises, pretending that they expect any republican to act with integrity or courage, or even patriotism. This saddens me because I feel there is bound to be a few desperately hoping patriots who buy in hoping for a reprieve and who will then be further disheartened. Media are really self-serving, s-l-o-w learners or really uncaring and diabolical.

    Last Friday:
“U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations and Armed Services Committees, introduced a war powers resolution to force a debate and vote in Congress to prevent further escalation of hostilities with Iran. Senator Dick Durbin is an original cosponsor of the legislation.”
    Kaine on Hayes:
America cannot go to war “on the whim” of a president.
Any Senator can file if a president “goes rogue”.

    • January 7, 2020 at 1:26 pm

“War powers resolutions are privileged, meaning that the Senate will be FORCED to vote on the legislation.
The resolution underscores that Congress has the sole power to declare war, as laid out in the Constitution. The resolution requires that any hostilities with Iran must be explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or specific authorization for use of military force, but does not prevent the United States from defending itself from imminent attack. The resolution will force a public debate and vote in Congress as intended by the framers of the Constitution to determine whether United States forces should be engaged in these hostilities.”

    • January 7, 2020 at 1:27 pm

“For years, I’ve been deeply concerned about President Trump stumbling into a war with Iran.
We’re now at a boiling point, and Congress must step in before Trump puts even more of our troops in harm’s way. We owe it to our servicemembers to have a debate and vote about whether or not it’s in our national interest to engage in another unnecessary war in the Middle East.”

      Socialism is purposefully mis-defined.
Don’t we need a democratic society with genuine self-government of, by, for the People?
      THAT is socialism!
And it’s what we need to fight the latest version of fascism pushing for war and militarism.
“Socialism” is not that criminal one-party dictatorship version defined by GOP.
      —which btw they want.
