And if they do not remove him for his crimes… this should be enough for the thinking people of the country to vote every last one of them out of office. It’s called being a responsible citizen!

Daily Kos: “Australia’s leaders seem intent on committing “climate suicide,”
as they refuse to either accept responsibility or take action to prevent a repeat of the devastation.”
New York Times: “Australia today is ground zero for the climate catastrophe.
Its glorious Great Barrier Reef is dying, its world-heritage rain forests are burning, its giant kelp forests have
largely vanished, numerous towns have run out of water or are about to, and now the vast continent is burning on a scale never before seen.”
Reuters: “The bushfires ravaging Australia are generating so much heat that they are creating their own weather systems including dry lighting storms and fire tornadoes.”
—OZ is the canary in the coal mine for climate change.
—Fatal global decisions based on big corporate investments in fossil fuels…
—Through the eyes of our brothers and sisters in Australia we’re looking into the future happening Now.

Am currently reading “A Warning by Anonymous.” OMG, it is as bad as we have heard. He is not smartly putting his plans in place. He is bat sh*t crazy acting irratically from moment to moment. Not mentally or emotionally capable of taking in advice and acting upon it. If the Republicans do not help oust him we will be lucky to just survive him. I am not that far into the book, but we have heard most of the descriptions if you have watched MSNBC at all. The latest Iran actions have brought our danger from him front and center.

  17. January 5, 2020 at 7:44 am

As the presidential race has progressed. I have begun to feel as though I am sitting at the lil kids table. It started off with so much promise. But Dems did not want a Black woman or a Latino man for President. And now the press is bombarding us with Sanders stuff. Once again blk folks are being sidelined. While the media plays out visions of War promoted by an IMPEACHED president and a corrupt GOP.

    • January 5, 2020 at 8:08 am

While I try hard to fight back feelings of powerlessness and guard against feeling hopeless, I have to agree with you. The media keeps shoving their candidates down our throat before the first vote is cast. First it was Warren, then Buttigieg, now Sanders. Whatever brings the clicks and dollars for the horserace they want to see. Meanwhile very worthy candidates are maligned and dismissed outright because they don’t fit the MSM mold while they make every excuse in the book and look the other way for the lunatic in the WH living off of all of us. It’s hard not to feel like we’re getting played every single day. It’s truly outrageous.

Harris and Castro should have stayed in the race until the primaries. They may have gotten more votes than expected. Polls aren’t everything.

      • January 6, 2020 at 8:34 am

I agree…that polls aren’t everything..however bad poll ratings can depress enthusiasm for the candidate and that can effect fundraising..and of course there were those harsh memos in the press about Harris…and with Castro he did not get much press at all

        • January 6, 2020 at 10:28 am

We need to always keeps in mind that polling is a business. They are not just describing public opinion, they are shaping it and they do so for a profit. So for me, MSM and the polling industry are in the same business and driven by the same RWNJ framing and talking points. I do not trust them.

      • January 6, 2020 at 10:24 am

She was savaged by the press and by Russian bots on twitter and she therefore didn’t have the money to move forward and she didn’t want to compromise her next Senate race with tremendous debt.

Pardon my manners. Posted without first saying, GOOD MORNING, TOD! Blessed to see another day!

In phase three of my holiday. Fighting a nasty cold; however, I’m pushing on, slowly… Goddaughter #2 arrived at 0’dark-thirty Friday morning; fortunately she’s an experienced traveler and was able to Uber from the airport. I may very well have her Uber to her early am departure on Wednesday…

Did dinner and a show at City Winery on Friday night. She was all set to order a specialty cocktail; nice try, Sweetie — four more months until you are 21… Next three days will be filled with family fun. I’m Blessed!

Nerdy, Happy New Year! Every single day, I thank God for you!

    David Explains It For You…
CORPORATE MEDIA: I mean clearly there’s no evidence of any conspiracies but we don’t want to be seen as being unfaIr.
DA: What lengths do you have to go to be seen as being fair?
CORPORATE MEDIA: We have to go to much greater lengths than we should. Every allegation, every claim, must be given equal air time and space.
What we’ve found too is that more people tune in if there’s always two sides and if somehow the other side can keep making stuff up that constantly has to be disproved.
This is also quite beneficial to us as people keep coming back for more.
DA: Let me draw you a picture and ask you about it.
In the picture, you’re saying that the impeachment is being largely covered as a “He said …/She said …” drama between two sides: Democratic and Republican.
In the picture, you’re saying that the impeachment is being largely covered as a “He said …/She said …” drama
between two sides: Democratic and Republican.
CORPORATE MEDIA: Correct. In this manner, we don’t offend anyone. We just report what each side is saying.
DA: Don’t you think this might be why people are so confused?
CORPORATE MEDIA: Absolutely. But that’s not our responsibility. As corporate media, we have to watch out for our bottom line. And our bottom line might get affected if too many people are offended. Especially our advertisers.
If everything we print is “He said, she said” we can guarantee that no one is offended.
    We’re not biased.
DA: Except you are biased. You’re biased toward not offending anyone rather than toward telling the truth according to preponderance of evidence.
CORPORATE MEDIA: Fair. We’re a business. We have to do what’s right for our business.
At least we’re better than corporate media whose profit model is propaganda.
    DA: What do you mean?
CORPORATE MEDIA: Take Fox News, for instance. They don’t have to be fair because they’re paid to be propaganda. On Fox News, you always know which “side” is going to win and that’s the way their ownership wants it. It’s also what their viewership has been taught to expect.
DA: Let me add that business model to our picture. Is this about right?
    CORPORATE MEDIA: That’s pretty close.
DA: Let me get this straight. There’s several billion dollar media networks out there that can promote whatever conspiracies they want without having to answer to any sense of fairness.
And then there’s the entertainment networks like yourself that have to cover both sides.
    CORPORATE MEDIA: Yep.
DA: This doesn’t look very “liberal.”
CORPORATE MEDIA: There’s nothing liberal about it. Like I said, we’re a for-profit business. We have to make a profit. If we offend people, it might hurt our bottom line.
DA: Yet the propaganda doesn’t have to worry about offending anyone?
CORPORATE MEDIA: Correct. Their business model is subsidized by their owners.
DA: Well thank you, corporate media. This has been very enlightening. Sad, but enlightening.
I’m now starting to see how even the clearest stories can be muddled in our media.
    ——-Thank you David Akadjian——-
