Greta Thunberg and activist DiCaprio commit support each other:
DiCaprio: “There are few times in human history where voices are amplified at such pivotal moments and in such transformational ways – but @GreatThunberg has become a leader of our time. History will judge us for what we do today to help guarantee that future generations can enjoy the same livable planet that we have so clearly taken for granted. I hope that Greta’s message is a wake-up call to world leaders everywhere that the time for inaction is over. It is because of Greta, and young activists everywhere that I am optimistic about what the future holds. It was an honor to spend time with Greta. She and I have made a commitment to support one another, in hopes of securing a brighter future for our planet.”

why can’t this be part of the impeachment process?
GOP working with Putin to re-write history to favor Trump?
And thus lift sanctions on Russia.
May all of those countries report loudly what Barr is doing to their media.
#1 key to everything is getting shot of Barr.

“Trump Refuses To Allow Thousands Of Iraqis Who Risked Their Lives To Help the US Into The Country.”
The Trump administration is refusing to take in thousands of Iraqis who risked their lives helping American forces during the Iraq war, cutting the number of high-priority refugees allowed into the United States this year and drastically slowing background checks they must undergo. Only 153 Iraqi refugees whose applications were given high priority were admitted in the fiscal year that ended in September — down from a high of 9,829 in the 2014 fiscal year, according to government data obtained by The New York Times.”

–Trump plans to re reduce the number of people entering US to zero.

“There’s a national labor uprising happening right now that the media isn’t reporting.”
“Decades of wealth concentration and corporate domination leave unions no other choice.
As the national press corps fixates on the coming and goings of President Trump as if it were the only story, the American labor movement is rising up, informed by almost a half-century of wage suppression made possible by unchecked corporate greed that’s turned our economy into a pyramid scheme where all the wealth drifts to the top. For a generation after Ronald Reagan fired the nation’s striking air traffic controllers, unions were intimidated from striking…….What’s driving this militancy? Since the 1970s, while productivity increased, wages declined or stagnated as earning power was replaced by household and consumer debt. The percentage of Americans in a union declined. While workers increasingly struggled to make ends meet, corporations preceded to grow larger and larger, thanks to a U.S. tax code that subsidized them shifting their operations abroad and then enabled them to hide their profits in places like the Cayman Islands……while an estimated 1 in 9 Americans are food insecure, roughly over 37 million Americans, including more than 11 million children.

My son and I went to vote for him the first time, along with my oldest granddaughter. When we got outside the poll station after voting, my son stood on the sidewalk and sang a few bars of God Bless America, at the top of his lungs. His daughter was a bit mortified (Dad! Stop!) Ha! Still a happy, fun memory, and always will be!

      • November 4, 2019 at 2:01 pm

Wow, what a riot! So many really wonderful memories of that night.

I remember after that speech a friend called and asked me to meet her for a drink a couple blocks away. I went outside and there were people screaming and cars honking their horns. We walked into the bar and half the people were wearing masks with PBO’s face. It was so wild!! Everyone was so happy.

Love your story! Speaking of masks, my son also – as a joke – brought me an Obama face mask to place among my souvenirs. Still have it! I’d still much rather concentrate on that night than anything after the last or the next election nights. Ugh.

“WHEN VLADIMIR PUTIN arrived in Brisbane for the G20 meeting five years ago, he cut and isolated figure, frozen out of the civilized world by the annexation of Crimea, the invasion of the eastern Ukraine and the shooting dow of a passenger airliner with Dutch and Australian families on board. Western leaders kicked Russia out of the G7 and imposed sanctions. Som refused to get Mr. Purin. He left early, snubbed and humiliated.
FIVE years later has has swaggered back onto the world stage, presiding over the conflict in the Middle East, building a strategic alliance with China and driving a wedge between NATO allies.” (Economist)
–Putin “wants the West to lift sanctions and to acquiesce in his plan to stay in power indefinitely”.

  72. November 4, 2019 at 10:38 am

Trump is following Putin’s orders when he performs the opposite to Putin’s own strategy = “support your allies…
and do not create a vacuum that can be filled by a a rival power.”
“The meeting with Mr. Erdogan cemented Russia’s dominant position in the middle East with a deal establishing joint military control over what used to be Kurdish terrirory. Earlier this month Mr. Putin was welcomed in Saudi Arabia, the world’s third-largest oil producer…”
–Trump has disqualified himself as C.I.C. Remove.

2 defied subpoenas and refused to appear for scheduled depositions…expecting 2 others to be
no-shows…further evidence of “an effort by the Administration to obstruct the lawful Constitutional duties of Congress.”
      Chairman Schiff:
“These witnesses are significant and the WH House understands they are significant. Based on the testimony the Committees have already received, we know that these witnesses, those that were in the law office of the National Security Council, those who worked there for Mulvaney either in the Chief of Staff’s office or the office of Management and Budget, are firsthand witnesses to allegations of serious misconduct, both vis à vis the suspension of military aid, and the effort to use that aid as a lever to get Ukraine to do these political investigations to help the president’s re-election campaign. But also an effort to potentially hide the evidence of the president’s misconduct by placing that hall record in a classified system, that would be beyond most individual’s access and a system in which that hall record did not belong.
So very pertinent testimony, very relevant to the other witnesses who have come forward. And we may infer by the White House’s obstruction here that their testimony would be further incriminating for the president.”

      • November 4, 2019 at 1:52 pm

much more…..including WH false claims of WH “immunity”….Republicans were present for all of the depositions and had every opportunity to ask questions… GOP supporting Trump claims that directly contradict their own practices when they were in the majority…McKinley and Yovanovitch transcripts being released today.
