When we got outside the poll station after voting, my son stood on the sidewalk and sang a few bars of God Bless America, at the top of his lungs. His daughter was a bit mortified (Dad! Stop!) Ha! Still a happy, fun memory, and always will be!

I remember after that speech a friend called and asked me to meet her for a drink a couple blocks away. I went outside and there were people screaming and cars honking their horns. We walked into the bar and half the people were wearing masks with PBO’s face. It was so wild!! Everyone was so happy.
