Thanks so much for sharing this Gazelle. Ms. Mwansa is most impressive! Half way through I’m smiling, nodding my head and clapping along with the audience. Can’t wait to see what she’s up to in the years ahead! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The other fun part is that she didn’t realize that she’s a badass, she just wanted to say her truth, for her generation. Thus her surprise at the audience’s reaction. 😂
However, given that #Impeachment hearings haven't begun, the number of Americans supporting #Impeachment is significantly greater than was the case for #Nixon at the outset of his #Impeachment process. @SpeakerPelosi is in a remarkably strong position to hold #Trump accountable
She should indicate that even with the abundant effort by Trump to #ObstructJustice, the evidence for historical cooperation with a hostile foreign power to alter an election merits much further investigation & determination if Trump is compromised & subject to ongoing bribery.
Upon conclusion of #RobertMueller's statement she should inform Americans of the manner in which #McConnell has undermined the Constitutional role of the Senate and the Congress to act to uphold the #RuleOfLaw in accorddance with the basic principles of due process.
Whatever #McConnell thinks at the moment, he will not be able to withstand, nor will any other Republican Senator, the wrath of Americans once the effort has been made to educate them of the extent of Trump's criminality, threat to our National Security & complicity of the @GOP.
“Barr from Day One… has characterized the Mueller report in a way that’s just not true. And so I understand the desire to have Bob Mueller come and testify – the movie is always easier for people to digest than the book” – Chuck Rosenberg w/ @NicolleDWallacepic.twitter.com/iTmFqkrHoN
"The reason why this is so significant is because this brings us back to square one of this entire investigation… which was the president asking Jim Comey to go easy on Michael Flynn because he knew that Michael Flynn knows something" – @HeidiNBC w/ @NicolleDWallacepic.twitter.com/plm4HWA0ze
"We don't need politicians right now, we need statesmen and women. We need folk to understand that the very system of checks and balances is at stake here. So what we're seeing here is what Robert Mueller told us." – @esglaude w/ @NicolleDWallacepic.twitter.com/zyG9xEXroN
Bobfr, You sir, are so d— smart and such a true patriot. WHY, WHY, WHY won’t these people listen to reason and just “plain old common sense”? If one honestly believes in the oath he/she took to uphold the Constitution, what you described is exactly what the person would do. If Mueller is as much of a patriot as many have said he is, he would volunteer readily to testify openly and do it quickly. The more time that passes, the more emboldened 45 becomes. Barbara Boxer made that point against doing anything and Jason Johnson said, “I disagree. He’s already emboldened and will continue to be so it will not make any difference.” Have heard so many people almost screaming “DO SOMETHING NOW. NOW!”
Speaker Pelosi may well be out in front of all of us, strategically & tactically. No doubt, she’s a Leader.
That said, the ongoing criminality and mind blowing inhumanity of Trump must be stopped.
From my perspective, he is readily stoppable, now, as long as an orchestrated effort to align Americans becomes a priority for those with the power to make it happen.
Speaker Pelosi has that power. Hope she uses it, visibly and rigorously, soon.
This is the first news story I recall ever paying attention to as a child. MLKJr was killed earlier that year and to be honest all of that was a blur, I think because it was during the school year. I knew it was devastating for my parents and everyone they knew, for me (not yet 8 yrs old) everything about that day and the days not long after are a fog of jumbled disjointed moments. Months later, school was out for summer. They interrupted all tv shows and played footage of chaos in that hotel seconds immediately following Bobby Kennedy’s assassination over and over that day. I saw people cradling him and there was blood, which back then they often never showed on TV. Dad came home from work early. I didn’t understand who the man who died was or why that happened to him, but I knew he was someone important and I watched my parents cry for him like they cried for Dr. King. That day is seared in my memory.

At age 21, the two worst days of my life happened, to that point, happened today and 4 April in 1968. I still morn for both men and know that had they both lived we would be in an entirely better place than we are today.
Indeed, Jacqueline! I readily visualize exactly where I was on each of those days when I first heard the news and remember so many details of what I experienced – and some very unpleasant encounters I had with a certain family member – in the hours after each assassination. My relationship with that person was essentially irreparable after those moments.
Welcome to Atlanta, @TheDemocrats friends from around the country. Make no mistake: Georgia will play a pivotal role in 2020. We have highest % of Af-Am voters of any battleground. With 16 winnable electoral votes, Georgia should be on everyone’s mind. #gapol#AALCSummit

Thank you @yashar for sharing Happy’s story. She should be moved to a sanctuary with other elephants. It is unconscionably cruel to condemn her to a life of solitary confinement. I’m definitely on #TeamHappy. #FreeHappy now! https://t.co/RRXFbokiuL

I’m not into zoos. Animals who should be out in their natural habitats, shouldn’t be caged, in restricted environments just so humans can have ogling ease. That has always bothered me.
Haven’t been to one in eons myself for the same reason. I see our Forever First Family’s former social secretary agrees too.
Reason 1,000 why I no longer visit zoos. Please, let’s think about this before we take our kids to see a confined animal who in no way should be living in a city. I am sorry I ever participated in this as a consumer. Know better, do better. Thanks @yashar. https://t.co/xqUs2ZueH8

Oddly earlier this week I was listening to some of my old faves from Bruce Hornsby and I remembered thinking: “I wonder Bruce what he’s been up to lately. Why haven’t I any new music from him in a while?” I meant to Google him to see and never got around to it. Two days later, Bon Iver drops two new songs, one of which I immediately recognized as having classic Bruce Hornsby piano styling and whadduuaknow… the universe sends me the answer the my question via Twitter.
Now if it could go ahead & send me those lottery ticket numbers I’ve been wondering about, I’ll be ALL good! 😆
We’re excited to share two new songs “Hey Ma” & “U (Man Like)” featuring contributions from Bruce Hornsby, Moses Sumney, Jenn Wasner, Elsa Jensen, Psymun, Phil Cook, the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, and others.

When you think about it, using the bodies of minor asylum-seekers to generate revenue for private "detention center" shareholders is a sort of trafficking, isn't it, if trafficking means to apprehend and control individuals for profit?

Good West Coast morning Nerdy & TOD family! Thanks Nerdy, I love me some Forever First Lady Michelle Obama ❤

Would have cool if they could have used PBO’S logo for that sign! 😔😘
Goodie
So nice to see this video of our Forever FLOTUS44. Love her.
Please come back!
FLOTUS44 never came to me for hair styling advice 🙂 – but her bangs were my personal favorite! What a beauty.
Same same. She looks terrific in that super cute bob, very fun and flirty. I think after a certain point longer hair ages people.
Me, too! ❤
Pelosi may be employing a different strategy here:)
Brought me to tears. Life.
Brought me to tears
Me too:(
Me too. So sweet.
Saw that. Bittersweet agony. 😢
STOP THIS INHUMANE INSANITY
I just can’t read or see more of their abhorrence! 😥 I just keep thinking & dreaming of these MoFo’s in handcuffs. Fully televised.
Good grief! What law school did these MoFo’s attend? 😏

Me too, Dudette! The fun part is her fearlessness. “I feel more powerful when I stand up”! And she proceeded to stand up & say it! Girl, you go! 💞
Loved that! Totally badass! ❤️
The other fun part is that she didn’t realize that she’s a badass, she just wanted to say her truth, for her generation. Thus her surprise at the audience’s reaction. 😂

It means much to me that you think so, Jacqueline. Thank you!

Text book case of #WhitePrivilege.
Dudette, I am happy that he addressed this right away.
Me too. It’ll still be used against him though, you can be sure.
Yup. I don’t know why on earth he traveled that beaten path to begin with. That gave me pause.
It definitely surprised me.
He’s a devout Catholic isn’t he? So maybe that influenced him?
Great news.

Welp! She tried!
Hmm, interesting.
