Speaker Pelosi has an extraordinary opportunity to educate, 24×7, every American to the vast criminality and threat to our National Security that Trump and his family and cronies are. MI 3rd District was crucial to defeating Hilary Clinton in 2016, btw.
No problem!!! I hope she listens. I understand both points of view, but I am now firmly in the impeachment camp now. We can not allow this criminal fraud to go on another day longer than we need to. I don’t give a shit if the Republicans in the Senate show everyone in America they approve of this fraud! Let all of America finally see them for the enablers they are!! Let’s Go!!!

I’ll gladly give Speaker Pelosi a standing ovation for “building a head of steam” behind Impeachment, if that’s been her objective. But, the big problem with ‘a head of steam’ is that it can either propel an object in a specific direction or it can be a bomb that destroys everything in its impact zone!
📩So, I sent an email to Peter Carr (spokesman for Special Counsel Mueller) posing a few questions about the article in @GuardianUS concerning @MichaelWolffNYC's contention that there was a draft indictment of the president. Here's Carr's very credible response. pic.twitter.com/1tQFUVgKfJ
Witness a Republican being an American Patriot; witness a lesson plan on why 'political calculus' is a 'calculus of the absurd' when the USA is being attacked by Russia whose primary ally resides in @WhiteHouse. https://t.co/Y4a3MESFvW
Low life Trump – lying, crooked, tax evader, porn star fornicator – should take his ridiculous self home, resign, and free us of what we will have to do to impeach him and throw him out of office!
America's disgraceful president is totally out of control! He is now supporting murderous dictator Kim Jong Un who is testing ballistic missiles and threatening the United States. Does Trump's desire to be a dictator supercede the security of his own country?
Trump is an embarrassing unAmerican traitor! How dare he denounce and belittle VP Biden on foreign soil on Memorial Day! How can these spineless Republicans look their spouses and children in the face and claim to teach them patriotism?
Well at least one Republican isn't spineless – Rep @JustinAmash.
Unfortunately, to date, he is the ONLY elected @HouseGOP or @SenateGOP to evidence anything other than willing contempt for the law & eager support of Putin's puppet in the @WhiteHouse.
Leadership is so important and VP Joe understands that 100%.
Trumpsky is a seasoned low life and we know why he is driving the U.S. presidency into the dirt.
Every Republican Representative & Senator knows what Rep. @justinamash knows and has now publicly stated-Trump committed impeachable offenses. When will they have the guts, the decency, the strength of character and, yes, the patriotism, to stand up and say so? Respect your oath.
I want @SpeakerPelosi and @HouseDemocrats to watch this video of Republican @justinamash receiving a standing ovation from Michigan voters for calling for Trump’s impeachment. Doing the right thing and defending our constitution is also GOOD POLITICS. pic.twitter.com/ESN47oXIaJ

Ready to #SendLindseyHome? Tune in to @maddow tonight at 9p ET for a sneak preview of my plans ➡️📺
This would be a good time for Democrats to pass a bill repealing the harsh sentencing provisions of the 1994 Crime Bill and then we’ll see how Trump and the Republicans really feel about it.
Not sure I picked up on that. Hopefully it wasn’t about President Obama. That would be such a turnoff. Do you think she could have been referencing Joe Biden (not that he’s known for speeches)?
With a smirk, the racist just admitted is so many words he just could not tolerate a black man, a brilliant, honest, constitutionalist living in the White House for EIGHT years. I hope one day Karma introduces herself to him, ugly, nasty, anti American mitch mcconnell, and he begs for mercy while we shake our head NO. MERCY. FOR MITCH MCCONNELL.

It's official! Democrat Jaime Harrison is running for Senate against Lindsey Graham. #SendLindseyHomehttps://t.co/lLWAqxAJxa THIS IS MY SECOND TIME CONTRIBUTING TO HIM IN A WEEK.
Mueller making a statement at 11:00. WOW! Literally, truthfully find myself shaking and unnerved. For reasons I can’t explain, I don’t trust him. What an awful feeling. Time will tell…………little over an hour. 😦 😦 😦
Although it is not bad that Congressman Amash..get coverage of his defiance….there are a few Dems who have expressed this same defiance from the beginning…namely Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Congressman John Lewis….the media always has this love affair with white males..cause after all…it reflects back to the overwhelming whiteness and maleness of the press
JUST IN: Special Counsel Robert Mueller is set to make a statement today at the Department of Justice about the Mueller report at 11:00 a.m. ET. Watch on @ABCNewsLive: https://t.co/U9eX0d1lst

I don’t even know if I can watch. I don’t trust anything coming out of this disgusting DOJ at the moment. Not even Mueller if he follows orders not to testify in public.
Every day we face an historic perversion of our government based on bottomless greed and lust for power. Trump has soiled every last American institution, including the rule of law.
Although..Trump is the figurehead….there are so many things that have occured over the past decades to bring us to this point….how do we get out of this…where do we go from here…
Mueller: “If we had confidence the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.”
He mad some basic points including:
– From the beginning, Mueller and staff decided unconstitutional to charge Trump with a crime.
– Russia interfered with the election is a systematic way and Americans must be aware going forward.
– Many examples of obstruction of justice and Congress must investigate.
– Zero mention of ‘collusion’ because Mueller wasn’t looking for collusion.
– Not enough attention to the first volume of the report. Mueller clearly disagrees with Barr’s ‘exoneration’ disinformation.
– Muller constrained by DOJ decision not to indict.
= Congress must investigate and pick up where Mueller left off.
Mueller’s statement is an indictment of a press that focused more on what people had to say about the report than what the report said, because the former was easier to cover. No one has learned anything.
If Mueller's statement today was the American people's introduction to the Report, the public's understanding would have been entirely different. Trump could not have shouted "No collusion, No Obstruction." It would have been clear the report did not clear Trump of obstruction.
The Mueller statement shows the importance of putting faces & voices to information uncovered by investigations. Thus, House Dems should kick into freckin' gear and hold hearings about the Trump-Russia scandal and other Trump controversies. Tell and show the people the story!
So @realdonaldtrump you have systematically & repeatedly lied & failed to defend America. #RobertMueller did not exonerate you he also reiterated that hostile foreign active measures against our 2016 Election occurred. https://t.co/6be0UClNu7
As you launch the #Impeachment process, TODAY, against @realdonaldtrump it is essential that you hold #AGBarr to the fullest consequences of #InherentContemp as Congress prepares to Impeach him for lying to Americans & thereby obstructing justice.
Just coming out of court. Read Mueller’s statement. Make no mistake: this is ultimately about violation of the most core duty a President has, to take care to faithfullly execute the laws. This is about fitness for office and impeachment.
Given that Special Counsel Mueller was unable to pursue criminal charges against the President, it falls to Congress to respond to the crimes, lies and other wrongdoing of President Trump – and we will do so. No one, not even the President of the United States, is above the law. https://t.co/w61a8rRQeK

Someone’s awake? Nadler will speak at 2pm this afternoon
NEW: House Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler responds to special counsel Robert Mueller's statement: "Given that Special Counsel Mueller was unable to pursue criminal charges against the President, it falls to Congress to respond." https://t.co/XBAqoVHxFPpic.twitter.com/5JNDkITUM4
Robert Mueller is like the professor who compiled a reading list and all you had to do was read and you'll pass the test. Instead, the class is asking for cliff notes or the movie.
If there was any clearer example that Americans are lazy and want to be spoon fed, I don’t know what it is. That said, the visual of impeachment inquiry and stories in the news EVERY DAY might wake America up to what happened when they weren’t paying attention and make this more urgent than it is now.
I read the Mueller Report. In fact, I re-read portions of it on the floor of the United States Senate. It should be crystal clear to anyone who read the report: Congress must hold the President accountable.https://t.co/lN32DJmKC5
Robert Mueller has advised Americans to go back and actually read his report if we want to understand what happened in 2016. “We chose those words carefully, and the work speaks for itself,” he said on Wednesday morning, speaking for the first time since his appointment.
But the words of the report are damning.
“The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion,” Mueller wrote. This help “favored presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and disparaged presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.”
The Trump campaign “expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts,” and it “welcomed” this help.
There is insufficient evidence to accuse the Trump campaign of criminal conspiracy with its Russian benefactors. However, “the social media campaign and the GRU hacking operations coincided with a series of contacts between Trump Campaign officials and individuals with ties to the Russian government.”
You will then be forced to face the clear and obvious fate of an elected official who either continues violating your Oath of Office or begins enforcing the law.
The case is over for the 2019 Lindsey Graham, but the 1994 Lindsey Graham who still had his principals and values, that Lindsey would stand up for what’s right. What has happen to that Lindsey, only God knows.
!!!! “Charging the president with a crime is not an option we could consider” – Mueller makes clear it was not the evidence but the DOJ policy that precluded an indictment. This is huge.
Robert Mueller just made it crystal clear: Russia interfered in our elections in 2016 in a "systematic" way. So why won't @senatemajldr let us vote on any election security bills to prevent foreign adversaries from doing it again?! pic.twitter.com/7AIGkjnx78
RT my piece in @TIME b/c Mueller focused on this today. There was insufficient evidence to charge a conspiracy with Russia, but the investigation was impeded by witnesses who lied or were unavailable. Insufficient evidence isn’t innocence. https://t.co/jEaeKqHE0L
Mueller said: READ MY REPORT. It says I COULDN’T indict a sitting president. If my office could’ve concluded he was innocent of collusion or obstruction, we would’ve. We couldn’t so we didn’t. Only Congress can hold him accountable. The ball is in their court now.
I am very sympathetic to the political concerns of the House Leadership and the consultant class, but it’s becoming clear that dodging an impeachment inquiry would be a grave moral, constitutional, and political mistake.
i do not believe that they are dodging…i believe that they understand the graveness of the situation better than anyone…we on the outside can say anything…but the Speaker has to also be concerned about keeping their majority…so they have to be slow and methodical….
Speaker Pelosi:
“It is with the greatest respect for Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the deepest disappointment in the Department of Justice
holding the President above the law, that I thank Special Counsel Mueller for the work he and his team did to provide a record for future action both in the Congress and in the courts regarding the Trump Administration involvement in Russian interference and obstruction of the investigation.
“Special Counsel Mueller made clear that he did not exonerate the President when he stated, ‘If we had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.’ He stated that the decision not to indict stemmed directly from the Department of Justice’s policy that a sitting President cannot be indicted. Despite Department of Justice policy to the contrary, no one is above the law – not even the President.
“The Special Counsel’s report revealed that the President’s campaign welcomed Russian interference in the election, and laid out eleven instances of the President’s obstruction of the investigation. The Congress holds sacred its constitutional responsibility to investigate and hold the President accountable for his abuse of power.
“The Congress will continue to investigate and legislate to protect our elections and secure our democracy. The American people must have the truth. We call upon the Senate to pass H.R. 1, the For The People Act, to protect our election systems.
“We salute Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team for his patriotic duty to seek the truth.”
Try to keep up. You are "presumed" innocent, until "proven" guilty. The case is not closed. The defendant does not get to close the case. No one is above the law. We The People are the final judge. Thank you.
I have a feeling that Nancy Pelosi is not against impeachment but rather is waiting for the right time … I am also guessing now that the calls are getting louder and louder … it will happen. How can it not …?
I encouraged people on two different Facebook threads that “We are the one’s we’ve been waiting for” and we have to make them do it. Call, call, call the Speaker and others. Send messages online them. (I called Speaker Pelosi yesterday, then sent a message early this morning. Two people told me that Pelosi’s box was FULL. Good sign. We have to keep it up and make them do it.
– Special Counsel did not exonerate the President of the United States of obstruction of justice.
– Obstruction of Justice, of which Special Counsel found substantial evidence, is a serious crime.
– The Constitution points to Congress to take action to hold…accountable.
– Special Counsel was unable to pursue criminal indictment. Nadler said he believes this policy is wrong and it prevented the Special Counsel from pursuing justice as fully as possible.
– Special Counsel is calling on Congress to pursue and “we will do so”.
Mueller ‘reaffirmed what is in the report”: Substantial evidence that Russia attacked, the campaign benefited, it was welcomed, Trump obstructed justice, undermined Mueller “over and over” again. Special Counsel did NOT exonerate. DOJ policy prevented indictment. Trump is lying about findings and (…see list). Barr too.
“No-one, not even the President of the United States, is above the law.”
New document from Mueller’s office contrasts Barr’s assertion about how Mueller determines if there “was an obstruction of justice” — to Mueller’s different explanation: pic.twitter.com/yaApbdTVUh
The failure to act on impeachment for political reasons is no different from the failure to convict in an impeachment trial for political reasons. Both are an abrogation of Constitutional responsibility. And both produce the exact same miscarriage of justice.
“If we have a society where all we care about is that the other side is ‘bad,’ and therefore we don’t have to do the right thing, then that society will break down. You will have no liberty.”
That would work. Whatever explanation is visually necessary to make America see
Perhaps Nadler will stage a show-and-tell series of hearings in which he can feed the public the full story in manageable bites. One is struck that we get the government we deserve. Citizenship requires effort. Without it, autocrats run wild. https://t.co/FsDgk5n2JS
