    Greetings, TOD!
Happy Teachers Day to all the teachers and former teachers here. You’re very much appreciated, and should be paid a lot more.

    Senator Schumer:
“I have just listened to the majority leader engage in an astounding bit of whitewashing,” he said. “It’s sort of like Richard Nixon saying ‘Let’s move on’ at the height of the investigation of his wrongdoing. Of course [McConnell] wants to move on. He wants to cover up.”
“What I remember is that from the very beginning, the Republican leader has not taken the threat of Russia’s election interference as seriously as he should. In the run-up to the 2016 election when the Obama administration sought to warn state election officials about foreign meddling and designate election systems as, quote, critical infrastructure, Leader McConnell…delayed for weeks, watered down the letter from congressional leaders and pushed back against the designation.”

    • May 7, 2019 at 2:37 pm

“McConnell has been working hand-in-hand with Trump to cover up Russian sabotage since before the election, and it’s about fucking time that it becomes an issue. McConnell has been getting away with sabotaging the entire government—all three branches of it—and has even allowed a foreign adversary to sabotage a presidential election. Thank you, Senator Schumer, for saying that on the Senate floor. It’s a start. Now keep saying it in front of every television camera available.’ (Eleveld, DK)

Folks it’s time we call a thing a thing. This is in reference to people wondering what “color” the new prince will be.

    • May 7, 2019 at 4:48 pm

Yes I saw it the third time.
How about: “Don’t underestimate the symbolism of a royal marriage. From now on, it will be impossible to argue that being black is somehow incompatible with being British.” (The Guardian)
-The real question is how to expunge Trumpsky + Putin from the White House.

–wait a minute, don’t you start the hearings, expose the crimes that America deserves to know about on the air, and call it impeachment when you are ready. Who cares where it goes? Where did this version of Pelosi come from? Where’s the fearless Pelosi that we love? Trumpsky and Putin’s dirt must be stuck to television screens all over the country. Not covered up by the McConnells and little russians.

“The Justice Department offered on Tuesday to allow more congressional staffers access to a less-redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report — an attempt to head off a Wednesday vote to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for defying a Democratic subpoena for Mueller’s entire findings and evidence. The concessions also included allowing a select number of senior lawmakers — just 12 have been allowed access to the less-redacted version — to keep their handwritten notes on the report.” (politico)
“Barr does not want to be held in contempt, because the next step is court, and that is where he will lose.” (Jason Easley)
    –Chairman Nadler please say No.
-Just the full report without conditions.

You have to know a double play when you see wun.
Trump doesn’t want to be impeached!
-The impeachment process regardless of outcome, will expose his filth not only to his base, but to everyone around the world.

    • May 7, 2019 at 6:05 pm

      Not only that:
As Lawrence explained the transition to the next President will happen with or without Trump, right on the clock.

There are now at least 735 former federal prosecutors, etc., who’ve signed the statement about the obstruction counts, coming out of Mueller’s report. They all need to march on over to McConnell’s office and tell him it’s not Groundhog Day (as he calls it) … it’s impeachment and indictment day.

The accusations against VP Biden re touching and invading space kinda backfired on the media. They attempted to define him with this before he entered the race.

        May 8, 2019 at 8:03 am

This is tough to see/read because I tend to agree with him about being hopeful. We all know PO ‘may’ not say that because he seems to always be hopeful. I put ‘may’ in the quotes because I wonder how truly hopeful he is currently. The Founding Fathers NEVER NEVER thought that one of the parties would totally ignore our Constitution and every norm our country has observed over the years. I, too, am close to being beyond hope. There’s too many signs that this gang is going to get away with this and we are going to become an autocracy. Sorry to start the day being so negative, but that is the reality as I see it.

On a more positive note, I am feeling a little better. Got to my pulmonologist office yesterday for a strong steroid shot and a strong antibiotic.

        • May 8, 2019 at 11:14 am

Sorry you haven’t been doing well. All the best with the antibiotic. Have rarely ever needed one but lately did, and was surprised to see that it didn’t end the infection. Seriously it was up to my body resilience to do it and very tiring it has been. Seems important to stay away from sugars (= carbs) and build immunity (echinaceae etc.) however possible.
          Dear tnmtgirl1,
I believe we’ll win the fight for the Constitution and rule of law = we face reality as it is and then act without delay as we must.

Mighty convenient that tax article dropping today. Very possible that trump leaked the docs and story in order to play victim. All part of a setup replay to his base, and give the courts cover for ruling in his favor for failing to honor subpoenas of tax returns, Mueller Report, witnesses, etc… #trumpsFalseFlagOps

“Constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe calls Trump’s contempt of Congress an “astonishing exercise in arrogant obstruction of justice” and an impeachable offense.
Tribe explains to Lawrence O’Donnell why Trump cannot fight impeachment in the Supreme Court as he claimed.”
