So thankful we have these true leaders to express the feelings that many of us have, but are not articulate enough to share ourselves. I’m just sick about the loss of this beautiful building. 😦

Oh I love that. My son played with his band at another club in Ybor City a couple times, back in the ’90s!

The more I hear Pete Buttigieg speak and answer questions the more I am impressed with him. I felt that way the first time. My Son-in-Law sent me an article I read but also deleted that said he was not in touch with the poor in his area that he was mayor of. It was making him out to be a privileged White guy. My SIL thinks he is not progressive enough, but in reality I am more moderate than my SIL. I like the idea of keeping ACA and adding a Public Option to eventually get to something like Medicare for all. There are many people just too afraid to throw it all out and be extreme about it. Mayor Pete’s view seems to be very much like Barack Obama’s thoughts were before he won the election.

I like Cory Booker too. The Castro twin, Eric Swallwell, Beto, Insley and Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren. Still like tried and true Biden. It kind of depends who the media shows off as to whom the audience gravitates toward.

I do not like Bernie. He who is not a true Democrat and one that believes it is his way or the highway. I liked how Obama was pragmatic and would try to make changes in small steps if necessary. Bernie is more like Trump than Obama in his record. BS did not vote for the recent Democratic healthcare bill that all the other Dems voted for. BS voted with the Republicans. He wants Medicare for all period. I have also noted he does not walk his talk. I also do not like Tulsa Gabbard from HI. I cannot even remember her name and realize I got it wrong. She seems more like a Republican to me.

BUT bottom line for me is getting Trump out of there even if I have to vote for Bernie Sanders.

i remember that Pres Obama described how change in the country is incremental…that we do not make turns/changes like a speedboat..but more like an ocean liner…but what happens we need to move with the speed and agility of a speed boat…when we are trying to avoid hitting the shore but there are folks that would rather crash and burn it all down rather then navigate the shoreline to safety….

So it is settled then? This is officially the stuff of dreams for Trump and his vampire base:
“One woman had a baby, a five-month-old baby and said she’d been there for five days,” she said. “The baby had filthy clothes. The situation is unhealthy. People are in a confined space, they’re not getting showers, their clothes are dirty, babies are not getting Pampers like they should be. These ladies were crying and telling us their stories and it was just heartbreaking.”
These families aren’t sleeping on cots but rather “on a temporary floor that covered the asphalt parking lot beneath, with babies sometimes sleeping on their parents’ legs to avoid the hard floor.” It was just days ago that border officials were forcing detained people to sleep on dirt and rocks in a now-closed cage under a bridge, also in El Paso.
Officials were more than happy to allow media to photograph that horror show, as well as to perp-walk children to add some images to the administration’s propaganda campaign. But now “reporters are forbidden from the facility, leaving The Daily Beast to observe the operation through a telephoto lens from nearly a quarter-mile away.”
–As happened in Germany not that long ago: If such cruelty and sadism is allowed to continue while we look on or look away, we are not only on the list for the chopping block, we’re also complicit. Strategy.

Barr/Trump will let us see what they want us to see. And not before they are ready for us to see it. Where’s Mueller?
Barr is a past master of redaction and withholding the truth until it’s too late – which is why he was hired.
It was foolish to believe in Barr’s “exoneration” story. Why would you do that? And why would you do it all over again on Thursday?

Fmr Rep. David Jolly on how the DOJ can give Congress the full-on Mueller report:
“Point of background for how simple the process is to provide an unredacted classified version of the Mueller report to Congress. The full report can be submitted to House Intel as custodian. Members can sign in to read the report w/ no photo/phone devices, and leave w/ no copy.”

    • April 16, 2019 at 4:20 pm

Fact: “There are no “security concerns” stopping the Justice Department providing Congress access to the full Mueller report.
The real reason why Barr won’t give Congress full access to the report is that it will be damaging for Donald Trump.” (Easley)

Rachel Maddow spoke to the author of an article about Barr’s redaction summary and cover-up strategy. I look fwd to reading it and will post a link. On Tuesday night Lawrence O’Donnell’s guest Ryan Goodman confirmed a pattern in Barr’s suspicious behavior.
Ryan Goodman, Professor, NYU School of Law:
“That`s right. So there`s a remarkable episode that is very similar to today. 1989, William Barr had actually issued or written an opinion for the Justice Department highly controversy. It looked like it paved the way for the United States to forcibly abduct the leader of Panama. So Congress wanted the full opinion and Barr said, no, you can`t have the full opinion but I`ll give you a summary of its principal conclusions, which is the same language he used for the Mueller report – that he`ll give a summary of the principal conclusions. It ends up that he gives a 13-page report and then only three years later do we actually find the full opinion and it turns out that he did not give Congress the principal conclusions. He left some major conclusions out.”
