I loved Cory Booker’s kick-off speech in New Jersey. Felt like if I closed my eyes, I’d be 20-something, listening to JFK and MLK again!

    Good for the soul.

Feeling really low about the Trumpeters getting away with a scandal far worse and more dangerous to our national security that Watergate. Somehow, Congress MUST get the unredacted Mueller Report and take action appropriately. Seems like there are already numerous impeachable offenses, but #45 thinks he’s untouchable. Happy to hear strong, positive messages from our D candidates for President like Cory, Kamala, etc. Hang in there!

Just the facts = Just the Mueller report.
Mafia Don now blaming whoever…insisting his “Attorney General Barr will make the decision!”
Let Barr redact – let him redact! Then throw it in the garbage. It is worthless. The ruling clique wants to dictate what we are allowed to believe.
    Obtain the original Mueller report.

Murdoch, like Putin, Trump and others like them, is a poison. He likes the power to move people like chess pieces I believe. I wish an international boycott of all things Murdoch could happen. I won’t listen to anything coming from his enterprises and that include WSJ, National Geograhic, and Hulu.

I like the way Pelosi is proceeding She mirrors their lies and gaslighting back to them and proceeds to work on the job at hand. I remember when Bush Jr was in office destroying as much as he could and people blamed Pelosi and Reid for not being able to stop all of it. It was as if it was all attributable to their weakness. As soon as they had something to work with they showed us their incredible strength and wisdom. Then in 2010 the disappointeds gave the House back to the destroyers. We have to be careful to learn our lesson and not forget again. Pelosi and our other champions are brave and strong. We have to be careful not to shift the blame to them. It only does the work of the destroyers for them.

Some part of me thinks that the reason no Dems are moving forward on impeachment yet is because they are waiting to have insurmountable evidence against him that the public can plainly see and understand on their own, without Democrats having to show/ explain it all to the country. Yes, we are that divided that Dems would look partisan pointing out the crimes of the installed fraud.
He commits these offenses DAILY now, it seems… maybe they are waiting until the country finds it all untenable.

    • April 14, 2019 at 11:54 am

Well, I’m very frustrated but I think they need to see the Mueller report before they can credibly go forward. They’ve seen a lot of information and have had briefings on the evidence but having Mueller’s team’s assessment will bolster their case. My hope is that the people of this nation continue to rise up and demand the report as well as the taxes and that this pressure will prove effective, even if it means some sort of whistleblower act. We KNOW that he’s been a criminal and an imposter all his life. I feel quite strongly that Mueller was cut off by Barr.

I was at a party yesterday with my sister-in-law’s sister whose daughter works for the FBI. Not long ago she was sitting in her boss’ office when a call came through from Mueller. She couldn’t reveal the content of the call but let it slip that it had to do with money laundering and foreign entities. I don’t know what to make of that except to hope that something credible has been passed off to the appropriate districts for further investigation and prosecution. I await the arrival of karma in grand form.

“Trump’s moves on immigration are straight from the dictator’s playbook.”
“There are now 18 vacancies at the top of the Department of Homeland Security – including the secretary, deputy secretary, chief financial officer, two undersecretaries, the assistant secretary for policy, the director of the Secret Service, the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and assistant secretary for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (who is now acting secretary).
Reportedly, Trump also intends to fire the longtime head of US Citizenship and Immigration Services. This past week Trump rescinded the nomination of Ron Vitiello to lead Immigration and Customs Enforcement, saying, “We’re going in a tougher direction.”
How to explain this purge? Merely a change in policy?
Trump is also keeping vacant the top positions at every other department with any responsibility for border security, including defense and interior.
It’s about total control. “I like acting secretaries and directors,” Trump said in January. “It gives me more flexibility.”
It also gives him more power to do as he pleases.
Unconfirmed appointees will be loyal to him personally. Their authority is not dependent on Congress.
    The final rule: destroy democracy.”

-Trump said this week “It’s me” running the HS Department.

    • April 14, 2019 at 12:39 pm

Who hasn’t figured out that Trump will do anything to distract from his crimes? Zero sense of responsibility to the larger community. imo GOP officials and their leader are despots.

Trump blocked the United States from nominating anyone to the United Nations Anti-Racism Committee.
“…Its members are meant to be independent experts on the issue, not political operatives”.
Trump has opted out of all things United Nations: Paris climate accord, Iran nuclear deal, TPP trade agreeement, U.N. Human Rights Council,
You know he is pro-torture: His WH “fiercely condemned the International Criminal Court, particularly after the court’s chief prosecutor called for an investigation into alleged human rights abuses by U.S. forces in Afghanistan.”

“House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) accused Trump of stealing $150,000 in disaster relief intended for small businesses after 9/11.”
Chairman Nadler: “9/11 happened in my district. I know a lot of people who suffered from it. I was involved. I was instrumental in getting funding for small business, grants for victims of 9/11 for people with small businesses in the area. The president, he wasn’t president then, but Donald Trump actually took a $150,000 grant from the Bush administration. They let him take a $150,000 grant meant for small businessmen for 40 Wall Street. He stole $150,000 from some small business person who could have used it to help rehabilitate themselves, and that’s why I got, we got Congress to appropriate the money to use it for his own ‘small business’ at 40 Wall Street.
He has no moral authority to be talking about 9/11.”

So ok, what was their perspective? Like, have a REVOTE that millions of British are desperate for after this total nightmare?
If Corbyn wants a “serious relationship with the EU” he should go for a new referendum on behalf of all UK citizens who have lived through this manufactured hell. The first vote was only a prelim in the first place but conservatives ran with it as though it had legs. And STILL getting away with it. Who should ordinary people thank for being sentenced to another 9 months of pain and uncertainty? Why cannot they have a new vote = a fresh referendum? You can bet the outcome will be to REMAIN! Isolating and trashing America’s ally is a Putin dream.
Tanking BOTH of our economies is a Putin dream. Here’s a (last) chance to prevent the far right from giving it to him on a fkn platter.

    • April 15, 2019 at 8:04 am

Could Corbyn’s body language be any more blunt? Maybe not used to discussing important things with a brilliant woman.

      • April 15, 2019 at 11:07 am

-sorry for my incendiary style gah!! response. It hurts to see people being blinded, duped, robbed by the far right on both sides of the water. Many people in U.K. have been stock-piling food – truly. Completely unnecessary fabrications fueled by right wing media. Con men like Farage lied their heads off and squeaked a win in what was merely a prelim vote. And I will never believe it was not another Russian interference hit. Without the E.U. Britain might be forced to improve economic and political ties with Russia and increase his influence. imo the challenge for U.S.A. and Europe is to stay united in this era of Brexit and Trump, and band together in the face of Putin’s attempts to divide us and not do anything (whatsoever) to undermine the NATO alliance. And I believe much of the danger will be undone if there’s a new vote.
