Obviously there is a design flaw with the Boeing 737, but the motherfucker that runs Boeing wants to keep the plane from being grounded. What the hell is going on?

Yup! That’s right! I told my husband, who flies a lot for his job, to NEVER book a flight on this plane until they fix the problem. The problem is this fraud in the Oval…getting $$$ for breathing. He’s needs to fucking go. I’m way past done.

Oh my goodness gracious. So very sorry to hear that.

After I retired, I lived in Lake Mary about 20 years ago for a couple of years, but don’t know anyone there now. Nice, normally quiet and peaceful area. This is tragic, no matter where it happened.

We really need to ban all freaking guns in this country – if for no other reason than you one you intimated – to keep them out of the hands of our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Where was her SAT test taken at? Was it monitored (like it should be..) how can “cheating” take place in a public testing?
A person of color and no money.
OH but pay off the testing center, testing proctor and have them deliver an out of site SAT score…no one blinks an eye. The rich and people with melanin challenge never get flagged. They get into colleges with fake SAT scores, Fake transcripts. The fairness of the system is a joke. This explosive story of how the rich milked the system and bought their little darlings a spot at their college is sickening.

PS I want Trumps SAT scores. I am sure his daddy bought him a college spot too.

Good morning from Phoenix. Desert flower, Where are you in AZ? We are here for our 50th anniversary trip. Going to spring training (Cleveland Indians), visiting my first cousin in Tucson and friends from OH who have retired here (Chandler). I am having a hard time adjusting to the time change. Hope by tonight/tomorrow I’m better.

The world is going crazy. That sums up everything — college mess, Boeing mess, etc., etc.

Manafort has yet to be indicted and prosecuted for those crimes …. and he will be …. and Judge Jackson put in squarely in the record that nothing the prosecution presented in any way contaminates further indictments for “Trump Russia” crimes. Plus, at anytime Mueller wants he can retry Manafort on 10 claims that he could have been convicted had one juror objected.

Thus, Mr Manafort has nothing but jail in his future.

        Take care.

        bb sometime late tonight ….

  8. March 13, 2019 at 12:50 pm

In ‘The Price of Admission’ Daniel Goldman describes in detail how Jared Kushner:
“was admitted to Harvard after a $2.5 million (fully tax-deductible) donation (discovered only after a subpoena was issued) that Charles Kushner pledged to Harvard in 1998.” (https://www.politicususa.com/2019/03/13/kushners-daddy-gave-2-5-million-to-harvard-before-he-was-admitted.html)
““There was no way anybody in the administrative office of the school thought he would on the merits get into Harvard,” a former official at The Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, told me. “His GPA did not warrant it, his SAT scores did not warrant it. We thought for sure, there was no way this was going to happen. Then, lo and behold, Jared was accepted.”

    Yeap! The real “leader-from-behind”!
Trump says U.S. will ground Boeing jet involved in fatal crashes, following the lead of other nations

The move follows action this week by Canada, the European Union and other governments to ground the U.S.-made Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, which was involved in a crash Sunday that killed 157 people in Ethiopia.

Good because I was going to start a campaign demanding that all Republican officials, Senators, etc., only be allowed to travel on this particular Boeing model if they wanted to go home or go meet with Chinese or Russian leaders somewhere.

Unable to find that article from 2 days ago. You know, the one reporting that jailed children are threatened that if they aren’t “good/quiet” they will never see their parents again. Violence, physical and mental threats against non-verbal mammals. Hey only torture after all.

Senate rebukes Trump with vote ordering the U.S. military to end its support for Saudi-led war in Yemen

It marked the second time in recent months that the Republican-led Senate admonished the president over his administration’s continued backing of a campaign that human rights groups have blamed for the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. The resolution must be passed by the House, where lawmakers approved a similar resolution earlier this year.

It is now official ….. Beto is launching a presidential bid.

As I said earlier, I am glad that Beto is in because I believe that he

    (a) can do a better job of mobilizing the young voters (especially young men) than BS because Beto uses positive energy rather than BS’ angry and the “I am the only one who has ever had these ideas rhetoric”;

    (b) does not constantly attack the democratic party and other democrats or want to destroy the party infrastructure;

    (c) has the potential to take a number of voters from BS ….. although I just heard some pundits say they think he is more likely to take from VP Biden (I personally don’t see Beto as a challenge for VP)

Maybe it is bad political analysis on my part but I expect to see more Beto t-shirts from people who were feeling the bern

    Good morning TOD …

Having posted the two tweets below and then ‘sleeping on it,’ I’m even more convinced that way more important than what the mob has on Trump is what does it have on Pence. Why was he their guy. Given Manafort’s activities in the Ukraine, selecting Pence was absolutely not an casual event. Pence is way more dangerous and way more deeply aligned with the theocratic, white supremacy fabric than Trump ever was.

I don’t know what to make of the NPR report that Mr. Andrew Weissman, one of the prosecutors on Team Mueller, is soon leaving the Team and DOJ.

    • March 14, 2019 at 10:01 am

Well, he was in charge of the Manafort case and he just wrapped that up. He wants to move on and teach and do some public service projects. I do not believe it signals the end of Mueller’s work in the least, especially when you consider that Roger Stone is still in the frying pan and there are many loose ends involving the Trump crime family. Lots of document requests still in the works. Just my opinion!

The shift in White House accountability has attracted the most attention so far, for good reason. The House Intelligence, Financial Services, Oversight and Judiciary committees have piled overlapping probes of their own onto investigations by prosecutors for special counsel Robert Mueller, the Southern District of New York, the state of New York and the Manhattan district attorney.

Those House initiatives alone could effectively cripple the administration over the next two years. Through the impeachment process, they could even cut it short.

Boeing 737 MAX 8 and the FAA: Scarey backstory and timeline.
“Boeing didn’t just goof. It made a conscious choice to withhold the very existence of the new avionics from airlines and pilots.”
“Throughout the design and testing process on the new breed of fuel-efficient 737s, Boeing had instructed engineers to avoid anything that would cause the FAA to decide pilots required additional training time in flight simulators before flying the MAXes, as this would only extend Airbus’s market advantage. The sooner that airlines could add the MAX 8s to their fleets, the better for Boeing’s bottom line. And so the no-simulator-time promise was a major selling point for the executives trying to make up ground on their European competitor.”

“The U.K. has had a tax on stock trades for decades, yet remains one of the world’s financial powerhouses. Incidentally, that tax raises about 3 billion pounds yearly. That’s the equivalent of 30 billion in an economy the size of the United States.” (Robert Reich 2016)
