So Omar said shit about PBO for a Politico interview, then tried to walk in back after folks came for her. Some of these new people need to talk less and work more. Some have gotten all caught up in celebrity and it seems to be going to their heads. Wise new hires know that in the early days it is best to keep eyes and ears open learning the lay of the land and whom to trust, while being discreet I what you say.
I so agree, Imcae72, aka CEB. I just read what she said and I’m furious. I stood up for her an$ she goes after someone who has been there way before her. These young folks are important but they need to be quiet and learn. They don’t know everything.

I was as well; this is CEB. Had to change my login after not being able to log on in the way that I had for almost 10 years. So relieved that NW got me out of moderation and added my new name to the family.

Maybe Rep. Iihan Omar can’t control her mouth. I read that she is trying to backtrack saying that ex- President Obama was a pretty face who got away with murder. That hope and change was a fraud, Now she is claiming the media distorted what she said. I don’t know what to say about her.
So caught up in the unearned limelight that she is running her mouth. She is learning the hard way that you do not come for PBO because we have his back and will drag anyone who comes after him.
I am here just now to thank all of you for being here in our safe place and for NW for running it. I am kind of down right now and so grateful to have all of you to voice concerns to. Besides my two brothers being Trump supporters no matter what and living in a rural area where the majority of the people I run into listen to Rush Limbo and watch FOX News, I have lost two very close friends in the last couple years to unexpected deaths. I just found out my best friend who has been fighting cancer vigorously the last four months thinking she was winning suffered a seizure and they found out she has multiple inoperable brain tumors and will be put in hospice care. When my husband died at 52 yrs old she arranged for several of my friends to meet with me as a group for Saturday lunches twice a month, a kindness I will never forget. Thanks all of you for helping me stay sane.
You have many arms wrapped around you form your TOD family. Chin up….

Ditto to that, mtmarilyn. We are here for each other. You’ve been helping some of us who were locked out. OG, consider yourself warmly hugged and supported by all of us. We all hurt when another here hurts. It is indeed a family.
While I was locked out, I was struggling as many of my family and dear friends were (are) dealing with the mess the global UMC finds itself dealing with–the LGBTQ+ issue. We’ve been struggling with this for many years with no end, at least a good one, in sight. I know the Presbyterian, Lutheran and Episcopal churches have all gone through this. The difference is that the UMC is a huge global church, with the church in Africa growing fast. The conservative group that ended up ‘winning’ (and making this much worse) was made up of the African churches, Russian churches and a few from the Asian communities AND the WCA (Wesleyan Covenant Association) here in the US. That group has BIG financial backing from many of the same people who bank roll the GOP. In fact, those same people backed the conservatives when all the other mainline churches were going through this LGBTQ issue. So many of the threads I was on, people commented how this parallels what is happening in the US with Trump and the GOP. Power and $$$$$$ being the main aim.
It was difficult in the midst of that week to not be able to comment here. So happy to be back. Thanks again, NW! You are special.

I was surprised at myself. Got totally into the Eagle drama. Justice & Liberty. It was totally soap opera. Liberty & Justice have hanged out at their crib nest for 14 years. Then, Liberty laid eggs the other day, Justice disappeared (looking for food?). While Justice was gone, some other male eagles tried to mess w/ Liberty & her nest. And their tallons had blood. Were they Liberty & Justice’s kiddies, did they kill Justice? And Liberty kept sitting on her eggs, & trying to fend off these younguns. At one time she left, & one of the young dude eagles sat on the eggs. Wot! She left, probably ISO Liberty. (I thought Liberty was dead.) Then the youngun eagle flew off, egg incubator not in his skill set or non-viability? Next came racoon & ate the unviable eggs. Then, Liberty & Justice came back together to check out their crib. Justice is alive! Phew! Anyhoo, they did a looksee & flew off together. I was just happy that Justice was alive & back with Liberty! Swear this isn’t a fable! 😎
