Restoration isn’t finished yet, however, it is far enough along that we can hang out here for the holiday week. Will move back to the rental on New year’s day. Expect the house to be finished by Jan 15th, then moving in by the 30th.
Just Mom and I for Christmas Dinner. God-daughters arrived late last night; Grandson and D-i-L #1 will arrive Friday. No word yet on if Granddaughter and D-i-L #2 will be joining us. Doing a scaled down party, here at the house on Saturday; home-made soups and sandwiches. Expecting about 30 folks. I’m Blessed.

I remember when there was all the flack about Obama not going for Medicare for all and the public option being killed in ACA. Then our pragmatic president said we may need to get to Medicare for all in stages and his was the first stage and best chance at that time. We also heard that Canada had started in a similar fashion so if the healthcare does switch it will still be due to Obama realizing that you have to make a compromised start and get the public on your side through some experience before a better option can be realized. I just pray the Supreme Court does not squelch it. Unlike the theories I have heard I think Justice Roberts may go along with killing it due to the mandate being gone since he was the one insisting it was legal due to the mandate being part of the taxes.

I always enjoyed when the cameras focused on he and Michelle to see how they were reacting to the various acts; the audience members would do this as well. I saw Vice Christmas evening with two of my grown children at our family gathering in Reno. I recommend seeing it. Nineteen of us were there for seven days. What fun! My oldest son drove down from Seattle to travel along with me to help me as we flew out of PDX and I am using a walker currently for distances. (My only real hip joint is going out as I have had both knees and one hip replaced) My second son and family live in Reno and were hosting this year. My youngest daughter and family flew from MN and my other daughter and family flew there from Munich, Germany. I realize just being together is my biggest gift and blessing.
