me! She was magnificent!!! @Phoebe Robinson interviewed her beautifully and creatively and the crowd was rapt and moved and did not want to go home. So much love wonder connection. We all felt like TOD was connected in a deep sweet way.
Alycee and her mom, Nancie, Wanda, Terri, my mother and me…we were all in the Wells Fargo Ctr along with nearly 20,000 other mostly women and men…We were all there to witness the extraordinary and beautiful book tour of Michelle Obama…Becoming..
The crowd was diverse but mostly African American women…There is something special about being among crowds of Black Women…who all seem to have that Michelle Obama glow about us…smile..Reminded me of the vibe that was the Million Women’s March…there were older women and younger women…generations of family….and friends..
Some were dressed in Afrocentric fabric…”Beautiful”

I just saw Michelle Obama on the Colbert Show. What a jolt of happiness she brought me. I am reminded that at my now age of 70 she will be my forever First Lady, and Barack will be my forever President. I feel so grateful that I have lived when their graced lives have been with us. They are both an American and a world Treasure, for all humanity.

I was more of a fan AFTER he left office. I did not care for the people around him especially Darth Cheny. One thing I know of ALL past Presidents, Republican or Democratic is that they LOVED this country and would not sell it out to a foreign country, that they believed in protecting the Constitution and worked within the laws of this country. May he rest in eternal peace and that he is with his Barbara.

Next, his farewell address. This will be the first time seeing it after watching the original broadcast. My heart was too broken to do this before but it is now possible because we are finally seeing light and the beginning of the end of our national nightmare. Watching Michelle and hearing her talk about the hope and the optimism that she still has for the country and to see how she has been received on her book tour have given me life.
