What a wonderful, honest, earthy, encouraging and victorious book. I was captivated from the first page. She covers everything and answers so many questions that we have probably asked.
This woman is real; she is a natural, wonderful, woman! If you haven’t yet, get it for yourself.
PBO’s book come out in the spring. I can’t imagine his being any better, and I love his writing. Can’t wait.

This is the longest judicial vacancy in the federal court system. President Obama tried to integrate this court by nominating 2 superbly qualified African-American women.
In 2013, Obama nominated North Carolina federal prosecutor Jennifer May-Parker, who served under both Republican and Democratic presidents. But NC Sen Richard Burr refused to return his blue-slip, despite his previous recommendation of May-Parker for the position.
The Senate adhered to its longstanding practice of deferring to home-State Senators, which it has now abandoned, and the nomination did not proceed. In 2016, President Obama attempted another nomination with North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Patricia Timmons-Goodson.
Justice Timmons-Goodson was the first African-American woman appointed to serve on North Carolina’s Supreme Court and she won re-election statewide in 2006. Senators Richard Burr & Thom Tillis refused to return the blue-slip on her nomination as well.
This vacancy was held open for the entire Obama presidency b/c North Carolina Senators resisted integration of this court, and the Senate refused to override their wishes. Call you Senators and say NO on nomination of Thomas Farr.
