Friends, I know Chips had a policy about donations, but I am going to try this. If NW says its a “no no” then ignore or NW can delete. 🙂

My granddaughter’s school is raising money (don’t remember what for). Bottom line they are trying to get one donation ($1/one dollar) from all 50 states. If they get all 50 states, they get to slime the principals! 🙂 The seven states they are missing are: NM, Montana, Kansas, SD, WI, Mississippi and Vermont. If any of you have a contact in any of those states, please help her/us. The link will be below. You can click on ‘Pledge’, then click on Flat Donation.

Until we see what happens Nov. 6, I feel no sane person in this country has current representation at ANY level – not as long as insane and corrupt RWNJ haters are “in charge” in D.C. Nobody is safe from any of them, until we vote them the hell out of the WH and Congress. And the Governors’ Mansions and statehouses and local governments, of course. Even our military – currently being abused at our southern border – isn’t safe in their tiny hands.

      You get my drift.

Update: “an analysis of the social media activity of Robert Bowers…
he trafficked in many of the conservative conspiracy theories about a migrant caravan that have been rceently amplified by prominent Republicans, including Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)…routinely shared content (on Gab) about globalism, “white genocide,” and racist and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories from white supremacists like Jared Wyand, Patrick Little, Brad Griffin, and “Jack Corbin.” Wyand… counts former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn and former prominent conservative commentator Ann Coulter as fans…Bowers was also a big fan of Patrick Little regularly sharing content from the failed Republican Senate candidate…(Little) has called for the “complete eradication of all Jews” and vowed to run for president in 2020…Bowers shared Gab posts from Little that referred to the Holocaust as a hoax and advocated for the destruction of Jewish memorials.

    Good Afternoon TOD,

I haven’t opined here much since that thug took over the White House but yesterday evening for the first time in a long time I felt a ray of hope. As some of you are aware I volunteered on the Anthony Brown for Governor Campaign in 2014 and we loss that race to Larry Hogan (Republican). It was a complete shock. Hogan has basically governed as a moderate although he slashed our education budget drastically. He has not full on embraced Trump or his policies which is why he has garnered a very high approval rating in the state.

Yesterday was the last day to early vote in Maryland. The lines were wrapped around the building. There was something in the atmosphere at that polling place that I didn’t expect for this year’s gubernatorial election. There was a sense of urgency to cast that vote.

Four years ago President Obama came to my city to help Brown GOTV for early voters. I live in one of the largest African American counties in the US. Michelle Obama went to Baltimore (another heavily populated AA community). Brown thought that he could gin up the AA voters and that this would be enough to carry him to victory. The voter turnout that year was lethargic and he loss.

So this year we have Ben Jealous vs Larry Hogan who earlier this year had an 80% approval rating in the state. Jealous has campaigned vigorously throughout the state (he’s not very inspirational) but it was always considered an uphill battle for him to beat this very popular Governor.
So driving home last evening I asked myself, if people don’t dislike Hogan but are turning out in record numbers and standing in line for over an hour to vote what is motivating them? The answer is Donald J. Trump.

I am confident to say that If Hillary had won the Presidential election; Larry Hogan would win this race in a landslide. The irony is that Hogan just may get beat by the “Trump Factor”.

Don’t get me wrong, I won’t begin to try and prognosticate about what will happen on Tuesday. Trump isn’t on the ballot but my sense is that people are showing up to vote any way they can to denounce and repudiate him even if it means ousting a popular governor who otherwise would easily win this race and I have to admit that this gives me a ray of HOPE.

Unfortunately Michael Cohen, like Omarosa, has no credibility. Yes..he may be telling the truth, but without proof his words are meaningless. If he heard “all this: over the years he worked for trumpy and knew the totally bankrupt human he was working for…and said nothing while working to protect the orange creep…well he can go ahead and clear his conscience all he wants. butttttt He sold his soul a long time ago.

Kansas S.O.S. Kobach is seriously overdue for a mental evaluation.
Here’s one Kansas woman’s uneffingbelievable story due to Kobach whose insane political career must end:
“Jones’ state ID had expired in 2010. She couldn’t get a new ID because her expired state ID listed her married name, Jones, but her social security card and birth certificate listed her maiden name, Santos. Without matching underlying documents, the DMV in Wichita wouldn’t issue her a photo ID for voting. She couldn’t change her name through the social security agency because her state ID listed a different last name and was expired, and she didn’t have proof of residency, which was also required to obtain a new ID, because her apartment bills were in her roommate’s name. […] She made seven trips to different government agencies and spent countless hours on the phone with the DMV trying to obtain a voter ID. In August, after having her ballot rejected in three elections, she went to the DMV and said, “I’m not leaving without an ID.” She brought a pay stub from work, a state government-issued letter confirming her enrollment in the food stamp program, her marriage license, and her expired ID. The DMV officials finally relented, agreeing to make an exception for her due to her impossible situation and issuing her an ID, but they charged her $22 for what Kobach had said was a “free state ID” for voting.” (Laura Clawson, DK)
-Kobach’s utterly impossible voter ID law caused a 2% decrease in turnout in 2012 .
-Remember when he said those who couldn’t get voter IDs “were just lazy”?
-I also remember when a well-established County Election Judge was knocked off the voting rolls due to Kobach and struggled to fix it.

Born and raised in KS 70 plus years ago….when Ike and Senator Dole were the Republicans we could look up to and understand. Now there is Pat Roberts, Sam Brownback and Kris Kolbach! Wonder why I vote Democrat and fret every day? We must show up and vote. Kobach being Secretary of State and now the GOP candidate for Governor…seems a conflict of interest. Keep us in your thought when election results come in.
