we all have to get out volunteer and vote 11/6. We have to take back the house and senate. The so called media is at it again and not talking about issues but about Trump poll #. Who are they polling? The so called media is doing what they did in 2016. I will advise all to stop watching the so called MSM and concentrate on volunteering and get you friends and neighbors to vote 11/6, our lives depends on it….

Just watched two PBS shows about the lack of healthcare and mental healthcare on mainly white Americans where a white woman starved to death from lack of food & water because when she went for help due to domestic violence was not helped. She died alone in an abandoned house where she sustained herself on apples and melted snow. The other was about Rural Aid Mobile in which about 1000 people in a rural area of VA & TN traveled miles to get medical care back in 2003. Yet these same people complain that “people who make political decisions” need to come there to see what people do to get, medical, dental, and eye care. Yet these same people KEEP VOTING THESE PEOPLE BACK IN OFFICE because of God. Guns, and Abortions. NO one was there looking for an abortion just medical care. 90% were white and just a few AA were featured.

For anyone to say this is a “Christian Nation” is a total joke! There are people to go to church and are genuinely Christian but to say as a Nation we are needs to watch these shows and tell me how people in these rural towns would rather forego medical care and DIE rather than get Medicaid from the Federal Government,an AA President, and the Democratic Party. This one man’s blood pressure was so high he probably could have had a stroke. He was 61yrs old had not seen a doctor on a regular basis since he was a teen!

So many people are putting all their hopes on THIS election! We need to make EVERY Election count for the next 40 yrs to turn this country around. We need to vote in GOOD people who will do right by the working class, the poor, children, women, and all those that cannot help themselves. We need to care about the mentally ill and the homeless. My city just heard from the electorate NOT to turn a motel that already houses the homeless into apartments for the homeless. The comments about not helping people was disgusting that so many would rather do nothing and complain that the city is not doing enough.

Sorry for the RANT I am just so fed up with what is going on in this country.

“President Donald Trump justified his decision..to withdraw from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) by saying that Russia had not stuck to its side of the 1987 bargain.” (Berlin Reuters)
-Hello media! Do we remember Putin’s plan to destroy Europe and democracy?
-NOW with Trump’s help he could threaten Europe with mid-range nuclear weapons.
And then Putin and Trump can conspire to remove the START Treaty…

but it is an important thread..

      In addition…

each State Democratic Party…must develop a plan for their state…if there is a DEM Gov…and there must be a plan to expand voting rights….early voting…automatic voter registration…pre-voter registration for 16/17 year olds….it time to go on the offensive and defend our right to vote

    What ho Peeps,

Yesterday Miz Tally and I went to see beloved photographer here in TOD land, Pete Souza talk about his latest photog book Shade showing all the lies of the Orange One’s first 500 days versus what our Forever President actually did for the country. It was sold out–needless to say. Pete was funny, down to earth, humble, compassionate and fired up. He told stories behind some of the most beloved pix we’ve seen here on TOD as well as other pix we’ve never seen. He took 1.9 million pictures during President’s Obama presidency. He is one of the true gatekeepers of President Obama’s presidency and has it all chronicled both in pix and in his mind. The sense I got, not only yesterday or on his Instagram where the ideas for Shade first started, is that he’ll be double damned if ANYONE tell lies about President Obama’s tenure. He’ll be ready with the photo and the truth. It was emotional, moving, laugh out loud funny, cathartic. Sitting in that audience of 1200 people, I even felt a little hopeful.
If Pete comes to your neck of the woods, go and see him. Not to be missed. Bring tissues! ❤ ❤

We know you’re not being critical, nor am I! But when Van Jones mentioned that to Valerie Jarrett on his recent show (and who wouldn’t want to see President Obama on the trail every day), she gave him a reminder – something like, “It’s up to US. We have hope and change inside US.”

We are the ones we’ve been waiting for (from the Hopi).

I know, JOB. I know they all say that and believe it. I believe it too………but………as we say about all this mess, this is not NORMAL. tRump and the GOP are totally off the deep end and pulling out ALL the stops to win. They will stop at NOTHING. Am convinced they would kill people to try to win this election. Riling up their base as bad as it has ever been. Their base would easily kill and so would any of them. They are that desperate. Let’s not kid ourselves. Because this is not normal. I feel PO needs to be out there a lot.

All Democratic candidates should take a lesson from PBO on explaining how Republicans increased the deficit with the tax cuts, and are now coming after Medicare and Social Security to pay for those tax cuts. He did an excellent job in breaking it down and naming Mitch McConnell.

“The decision to write this column has not been an easy one for us. We are writing as members of the Laxalt family who have spent our lives in Nevada, and feel compelled to protect our family name from being leveraged and exploited by Adam Laxalt, the Republican candidate for governor.

Like most Nevadans, the idea of family is important to us, and we are proud of the history that our family has in our state. The first generation of Laxalts came to Nevada as immigrants 100 years ago, and their children went on to be parts of the Nevada community — as politicians and writers and teachers and in many other ways. Over the years, we’ve always supported our family, even when we haven’t always agreed with them or their politics. But as this Election Day nears, we feel compelled to speak publicly about why we believe that Adam Laxalt is the wrong choice for Nevada’s governorship.

There are many specific, well-documented reasons why we believe this to be the case.

First, for those of us who were actually raised in Nevada, it’s difficult to hear him continue to falsely claim that he was raised in Nevada or has any true connections to Nevadans. The simple fact is that while he may have been born in Reno, he left as an infant and was raised on the East Coast, 3,000 miles away, in Washington, D.C., and moved here only in 2013, only one year later launching his political career. Aside from the occasional short visit, Adam never knew the state or its people. Perhaps if he had, he would stand for Nevada’s values rather than for those of his out-of-state donors.”

“Russia pledges to act to restore military balance if US quits nuclear arms pact.”
More play acting from Trump and Putin. Trump acting like he is getting tough on Russia for his raw meat base just in time for
the election. While giving Putin an excuse to build up his nuclear weapons aresenal and point them at Europe as in days of yore.

Plus nice scare tactics, threats of denying Trans folks their rights as citizens, lying flat-out about tax cuts for ‘middle class’. Etcetera. You hafta to think that Trump is foaming at the mouth in advance of the election. What a frikn horror factory is he.

Other than changing a few names of those he’s campaigning with, if President Obama chooses to use the exact same script and ad libs he used in NV at the rally today for each of his appearances from now until Election Day, I’m going to watch every minute of each appearance. He makes me feel so calm. So hopeful. Not as hopeful as when he and Joe were in the White House, but feeling better about the “stuff” going on in our country now, just the same!

Thanks Dudette for your words of inspiration. More people, especially the young, need to know his story of the struggle he and others went through to be able to vote. And also the struggle women went through to get the vote. Sadly both these long campaigns only get a paragraph or so in history books. I think that needs to change. Maybe if Beto wins in Texas we can ask him to start changing what is in our history books, since Texas seems to be in charge of that part of our education. Ugh!
