When we take back the House and Senate in November I hope the first piece of business is the removal of Kavanaugh from the Supreme Court, if he’s even on the Supreme Court. I’m still holding out hope that either Collins or Murkowski vote no on Kavanaugh.

Yes. I think this explains why the DEMS are suing for all of his records. They’re building a case because they know they’re gonna regain control of both houses

    • September 28, 2018 at 11:25 am

Impeachment from SCOTUS requires 2/3 vote of the Senate. It will take a long, long time for that to happen. We are screwed if he gets confirmed. Among the first cases to come up when SCOTUS convenes next week:

      Gamble v. United States
      Docket No. 17-646
Issue: Whether the Supreme Court should overrule the “separate sovereigns” exception to the double jeopardy clause.

This is to determine whether states can prosecute crimes in addition to the federal government, i.e., whether Trump can pardon everyone and in addition remove himself and others from further jeopardy of state prosecution.

THIS is part of the reason for RUSH to confirm Kavanaugh. It’s GROTESQUE.

The American Bar Association wants a postponement and full investigation:
THE AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION took the highly unusual step of writing to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) urging them to postpone any vote until a full investigation can be conducted. “Each appointment to our nation’s Highest Court (as with all others) is simply too important to rush to a vote,” wrote the group’s president,Robert Carlson. “Deciding to proceed without conducting additional investigation would not only have a lasting impact on the Senate’s reputation, but it will also negatively affect the great trust necessary for the American people to have in the Supreme Court.” (TP)
–GRAHAM just hours before the above announcement, claimed the bar Association’s endorsement of Kavanaugh to be “the gold standard”.
WE DON’T WANT AN ANGRY VOLATILE ALCOHOLIC on the U.S. Supreme Court.

I can’t get past that polygraph test that Dr. Ford took, and yes polygraphs aren’t allowed in court. You know what, even criminals will ask for polygraph test, even though they know that they are guilty. They believe that they can beat a polygraph test. So when Kavanaugh refuses to even take a polygraph test it tells me everything I need to know. Even a guilty criminal will ask for a DNA or polygraph test on the outside chance that it will clear them, but Kavanaugh, he wants no parts of a polygraph test.

    • September 28, 2018 at 12:41 pm

His extreme arrogance, his outsized hubris, is a cover for his shame. He is in extreme denial but at some level he knows that he is guilty and his rageful outbursts belie all this. He’s a walking sociopath.

      • 97 jacquelineoboomer

Just getting back – you probably know already now that (as I hear it) Flake implied he can’t vote yes without allowing one week for the FBI to do its due diligence, in re-opening the background check. trump says “it’s up to Grassley.” Grassley took the vote today to move the nomination to the floor, so it’s up to McConnell. Graham said he’d be the only one (ugh) who could talk to trump, but so far trump’s being (suspiciously) agreeable. Bottom line – Flake can hold this up, because he’s also talking with other Rs – not just Ds – and that implication is other Rs might not vote yes w/o the FBI’s extended involvement, either.

And now to take my goddess nap! 🙂

If one were to design the perfect voice, face of a sexual assault accuser, it would be Dr. Ford. She was perfect, even Fox news thought so.
So what does it say to women that have been sexually assaulted, that don’t have the “gifts” of insight, education, pose, articulation that Dr. Ford brought? Dr. Ford was the best women could hope for to represent us all. I cried watching her strength. For so many of us yesterday was a painful day,a day of reckoning. Dr. Ford become “all of us”, and how proud we were. Yet so many still see Kavanaugh as the victim. Bring in the only witness to the crime…Mark Judge. The R’s did not want a search for the truth..they wanted to “show” us that they “let” the accuser testify.
So the R’s message to the women that have been sexual assaulted? STFU, we don’t care. I think Melania has a jacket for them.

What next. No one expected Flake to vote NO to get Kavanaugh out of committee and on to the full senate. That is a huge burden for one person. …unless that person is strong. Flake is not. Our only hope now is that the vote in the full senate Flake has cover with 1 or 2 other senators voting no, unless a proper FBI investigation has been completed. The rathe of the GOP on one person would be unbearable…unless of course that person had a strong moral compass.

  50. 122 Don
    September 28, 2018 at 2:22 pm

This so monumental in that once the F.B.I shows up to interview both Mark Judge or Kavanaugh they will be under oath and perjury will apply.

    • 123 jacquelineoboomer
      September 28, 2018 at 2:25 pm

Plus I think they’ll also be interviewing the other women who’ve come forward … both of whom (I think I recall) through their attorneys have said they’d be willing to talk with the FBI.

    • 128 jacquelineoboomer
      September 28, 2018 at 2:26 pm

Mark Judge has implied through his attorney that he’ll be getting a “doctor’s note” to get out of being involved, but hopefully the FBI will work through that.

  53. 135 Don
    September 28, 2018 at 2:32 pm

The only relevant thing is this, both Mark Judge and Kavanaugh will have to answer questions from the F.B.I knowing full well that if they lie they will charged with lying.

    • 136 carla4obama
      September 28, 2018 at 2:43 pm

      • 137 Don
        September 28, 2018 at 2:55 pm

Lying to the F.B.I is easier to prove than lying to congress. So yes he can not be charged if he lied to congress. But the F.B.I is a whole different animal. Kavanaugh can always say he made a “misstatement” to the F.B.I if he’s questioned and then found to have been lying or untruthful. If you want to get caught lying, my best advice is to get caught lying to congress.

So now Kavanaugh is sitting around waiting to find out if he’ll have to talk to the F.B.I., and trust me, he’s already thinking it wouldn’t be so bad not being on the Supreme Court. If I were Kavanaugh, I’d get out before the decision is made for him because his future is being decided by those in the Whitehouse and on Capital Hill.

    • September 28, 2018 at 3:04 pm

To tell you the truth, Kavanaugh is all in, everything in his life is on the line. Lets put it this way, if the F.B.I comes back with some bad shit, Kavanaugh’s judgeship on the D.C. Circuit is over. The only way he might be able to get out is if he withdraws his nomination, and even then that won’t necessarily stop the F.B.I investigating.
