Jeff Flake needs to sit his Oky-Dok-Mr-President-A$$ down. If you continue to vote for everything he does then what are you complaining about? Like people will vote for you when you have a failed run against him? NO THANKS!

Yes, I saw that on a news feed too. I hope she is alert and resting. My aunt died from pancreatic cancer after only 1 1/2 yrs post surgery. Ms. Franklin is a almost 9 yrs post surgery survivor which is very good. I pray she recovers and this is just a short setback.

Pearl Jam played here in Mitssoula, MT Monday night. I live 2 miles from the stadium where they played, I sat on my porch with my wine slushy and listened to it. Loved it. Bassit Jeff Ament is from Montana and a friend to Senator Jon Tester. They are from the same small town Big Sandy. Pearl Jam raised money for Tester’s campaign. There was 27,000 people at the concert. I don’t know all of their music I just know the Band is very social aware and put their money where there mouth is.

He is NO PBO we do not need a hot head for President not that he would treat our allies like POS-In-The-WH. He should run for Senator or Congress to get this political chops.

Last surviving member of the Nuremberg trials, prosecutor Ben Frencz, defined Trump’s actions as “crimes against humanity”.

Citizenship service conspired with ICE to ‘trap’ immigrants at visa interviews, ACLU says
    By Meagan Flynn
    August 15 at 9:37 AM

The 30-year-old mother of two wound up handcuffed and then detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for nearly a month, capturing the attention of the ACLU and leading to a class-action lawsuit over what attorneys have described as a “cruel bait and switch” arrest operation. According to emails between federal officials unsealed in federal court documents this week, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services had been coordinating with ICE to alert the agency when certain immigrants eligible for deportation showed up at the CIS office for routine interviews.

The ACLU of Massachusetts is accusing the agencies of conspiring to “trap” unsuspecting immigrants on a path toward legal permanent residency by inviting them to these interviews only for ICE to arrest them there. This happened to at least 17 people in 2018 including Calderon, although only 13 qualify as members of the class, according to the lawsuit. The ACLU argues this violates their rights to due process and the Immigration Nationality Act, among other things, for detaining the immigrants before they’ve had a chance to complete the process for seeking legal status.

“The government created this path for them to seek a green card,” Matthew Segal, legal director of the ACLU of Massachusetts, told the Associated Press. “The government can’t create that path and then arrest folks for following that path.”

RORHRABACHER: Russian Cyberattacks helped Putin’s buddy Rohrabacher (R-CA) to win:
“The hacks on (scientist Keirstead) began in August 2017 with a spear-phishing attempt — a fake email intended to deceive the recipient into typing in his or her password or other confidential information — sent to Keirstead’s work email address. The phishing attempt was successful. …similar to the phishing attack on Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta that later resulted in the release of thousands of Podesta’s personal emails….followed up by an attack on the campaign’s website and host, and an attack that tried to gain control of the campaign’s Twitter account…familiar pattern. Sen. Claire McCaskill’s campaign was attacked by Russians using spear-phishing methods to try to gain access to emails. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) said that foreign actors had used the same spear-phishing methods to attack him and his children.” (politicus)

Hi, guys – I’ve been away from this wonderful family for sooooo long! I’m overjoyed to see and read all of you who have stuck together in this existential battle. We’ve lived through triumphs and heartbreak. I hope I’m welcome……

It’s been a tough year. Mr. 57 had knee replacement the end of January. Recovery was slow but steady and it was hard on us at 78 and 68, respecittively. Unfortunately, I pushed hard to have everything ready for him and to take care of him.And my job, as the museum was just opening, was hell: 10-day work “weeks.” on my feel all the time. It put me in a terrible place. I pushed myself to the point of real danger. I’ve been living in constant, searing pain, barely able to walk. Most nights I sit and cry. As I said to my doctor at the beginning of the summer, “You could cut me open without anesthesia and I don’t think I could hurt more than I’ve been hurting.” But hip replacement surgery is scheduled for September 6. It better fix me right up!

We’re on our own. No kids, except the puppies. When I have the surgery, I’m not going to be an idiot. This time when people offer to help, do grocery shopping, bring a meal I’m saying “Yes, thank you.” Shoveling the snow in February was one of the many dumb things I did that has led to this relentless, searing, overwhelming pain.

I had an appt with the surgical assistant yesterday and was supposed to have labs, but they didn’t have me on the books. They pulled a nurse from the “infusion therapy” room to draw blood. While I was in that room, I saw a teen-aged boy about 14 years old. Of course I don’t know what therapy he was receiving, but he was in so much misery and you could tell that he and his mother that this had been going through hell for a long time and it was taking a serious toll on both of them. I looked at him and thought, “He can’t have the childhood and teen years I had. How could I make everything about me, when there are so many in the world so much worse off.” Perspective – always a good thing.

Well,I’ve missed you all so much. I’m down to part time so I don’t have to face the sociopath every day. Frankly, I couldn’t drive every day if my life depended on it. But hopefully the end is in sight.

I’m glad to see all of my TOD friends still fighting the good fight. I humbly ask to be included in the family again.

    • August 15, 2018 at 4:14 pm

Hey! Great to see you but so sorry you’ve been having such a tough time. Here’s hoping the surgery produces exactly the health-giving effects you need. Make sure to take it easy, especially when it comes to your toxic work environment. Welcome back!

    • August 15, 2018 at 4:34 pm

-no more shoveling snow! joint pain must be unbelievably hard to bear, am So sorry. All the best for your surgery, with love.

This feels like an injury – a deep, unrelenting injury. Dr. thinks there are things he can’t see on the x-ray and MRI. It’s compounded by the fact I can’t takes NSAIDs – no aspirin, Aleve, Advil. Deadly asthma attacks. So I’ve tried every supplement under the sun. The good news: hip replacement recovery is much faster and easier than knee replacement. My doctor is a leading expert in a technique that heals faster with less complications. I have high expectations. Everyone who’s had it says, “What are you waiting for?” Well, waiting for my husband to be well enough, for starters! My best friend who had two hip replacements said, “He’s well enough. Get the surgery.” Three weeks and one day, but who’s counting?

Hi 57andfemale! Long time no hear! So sorry that you are not in tip-top health but glad you are on the mend with your upcoming surgery. My neighbor had knee surgery end of January too and will have to get it done all over again because the replacement shifted, sounds like it was defective. Hope Mr. 57is doing well and will be able to help you after surgery. Hope that after your surgery every thing will go well and by November you both can do a jig when DEMs Blue Wave knock that smile off the Corrupt Administration’s face.
