Just spotted President Obama’s message for World Refugee Day. Profound, loving, and inspirational. His voice represents the “open arms” that OUR COUNTRY must represent, again.

Obviously, others are marking the day with many “new causes,” including the families who are being separated at OUR border … not Mexico’s border … OUR border.

I finally decided to direct my contributions via ActBlue; easy to do (I have donated before) and the major organizations helping in this effort for long periods of time are listed. Your donation can be evenly divided between groups or specified for a particular one. Thanks Nerdy for providing all of this information. Even doing something as small as donating so that others can do the work more effectively, gives an outlet for some of the rage and horror.

Short answer: they don’t. Most arrive at destinations 1000s of miles away with no follow up documentation, no points of contact. Imagine babies with no one to advocate for them, no papers or birth certificates, no nothing, crying uncontrollably. This is unimaginably inhumane.

    https://www.rawstory.com/2018/06/immigrant-children-forcibly-drugged-powerful-psychotropics-texas-treatment-center-lawsuit/

In a new lawsuit, immigrant children detained at a government-funded facility in Texas described being forcibly drugged with psychotropic medicines that made them dizzy and unable to walk.

Reveal reported Wednesday that minors held at the Shiloh Treatment Center in Manvel, Texas — described in its Google+ listing as a “baby gulag” — were physically abused and given shots of “powerful” psychiatric medications that “rendered them unable to walk, afraid of people and wanting to sleep constantly.”

In the affidavits, the children and their parents said workers at the facility told them they would not be allowed to leave or see their parents if they didn’t take the medicine, which was administered via shots. The children were allegedly told the shots were “vitamins.”

“The supervisor told me I was going to get a medication injection to calm me down,” one girl said. “Two staff grabbed me, and the doctor gave me the injection despite my objection and left me there on the bed.”

According to one mother, her child “fell repeatedly, hitting her head, and ended up in a wheelchair.” Another “described trying to open a window and being hurled against a door by a Shiloh supervisor, who then choked her until she fainted.”

TRUMP’S FAMILY SEPARATION LEVERAGE SCHEME ENDS IN DEFEAT (politicus.usa)
Trump caves and says he’ll sign something.
““We want to keep families together. It’s very important. I’ll be signing something in a little while that’s going to do that. And the people in this room want to do that and they’re working on various pieces of legislation to get it done. But I’ll be doing something that’s somewhat preemptive but ultimately we’ll be matched by legislation, I’m sure.”
(Let’s expose any lie he tells about Democrats right away.)

Unfortunately for the children who will forever bare the scars of separation (even if they eventually end up back with their parents), Trump’s evil policy was reversed too late. The damage this policy has already done should never be forgotten or minimized. We must hold Republicans responsible for the actions of their Leader. And we need to hold investigations into what is happening with the snatched children and what is being done to reunite them with loved ones. Trump’s caving to pressure doesn’t make everything okay.

Yes, that is true Jojo. For decades the children of slaves were taken from their parents and sold to other slave owners. And Native American children were forcibly sent off to boarding schools. And those are the only instances I can think of at this moment because I am so upset by all this. America has a long history of actions like these against minorities and the powerless. It is not something new. It is our history, only this time, thanks to social media, it cannot be hidden. And this time, because we are aware of it, we can change it.

That is why they were showing older boys, calling them MS-13, making the rwnj’s afraid and thinking he is doing the right things. Saying MS-13 coming across the border with their children and all that B.S.
