      Cardinal O’Malley’s message needs to be spoken in every pulpit around the country this Sunday and every Sunday until this evil policy ends. Unfortunately, that will not happen. Christianity takes a backseat to venality in too many churches.

      Easily, you start off by asking Barack Obama to produce his birth certificate, and along the way a United States Congressman is able to tweet out Neo-Nazi propaganda without any blowback. We aren’t anywhere near the bottom, trust me, there are more depths to plumb.

      I don’t think he’s flipped yet but I do think he is likely to do so given the mountain of evidence and total financial destruction of all his so-called assets. He’s as guilty as they come and Trump thinks he himself is invincible. So guess who gets the shaft.

      Human infant lives are extremely vulnerable in the first year. Staying alive is not guaranteed. Infants need close personal care.
      How is an infant or child protected and nurtured 24 hours a day? Not possible.
      Were they going to BREASTFEED THE INFANT? What are they doing with this tiny human? Where is she/he right now?
      The criminal taking $770,000 a year is preventing the hiring of more baby care – right?
      Remove these jailers, empty these prisons, and let the children OUT.
      Release Our Children Now.

      • June 13, 2018 at 5:33 pm

        Many young children and infants have allergies and genetic issues that are not yet on the radar. They can get
        really sick and die before anyone notices. These guys need to fess up – they are not taking care of these children.
        They are lying if they say they are.

          I don’t think anyone in the Trump administration cares at all about the issues facing these abducted children. In fact, I don’t think that any Republicans care about them. The children are pawns in a viciously one-sided game being played by the administration. The whole thing is simply too reminiscent of the Nazi regime. Don’t Americans know better than to behave like this?

      Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
      Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
      Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
      And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.
      Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
      And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
      And every fair from fair sometime declines,
      By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed;
      But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
      Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st,
      Nor shall death brag thou wand’rest in his shade,
      When in eternal lines to Time thou grow’st.
      So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
      So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

    Did the journalists inside the Child detainee camp in Brownsville TX interview any children personally?
    “..two hours a day to be outside…One hour of structured time. ..One hour of free time…The rest of the day is spent inside a former Wal Mart.”
    This is an ADULT PRISON schedule. This is a brand new policy by Trump. HE is responsible.
    What are the LEGALITIES of separating parents and children?
    How old are the children? Are they in cells? What do they do? Are they working? Are they being educated? Are they in contact with family.
    They’re young mammals who need their parents and family. Imagine the fear. How many will resort to drugs or suicide later in life as a result?

OK, rethinking … ESC (acronym for above cheddar) is a key on my keyboard, my beloved key when I’ve effed up. Jaysus, am now gonna go with my other beloved … Eff2 key. Sorry to seem fickle, ESC, you will always be my first love. But in these iQ45-PTSD times, Eff2 is satisfying. I promise not to venture to all the other Effs. 😇

    I remember President Obama saying that when he’s on his death bed he wants to be surrounded by Michelle and his daughters and his grand kids, and he wants to talk be able to talk about all the good things they’ve done together as a family. You know, I can convince myself of a lot of things, like eating poorly isn’t all that bad, or doing things I’m not supposed to do and praying that they won’t catch up with me. I’ve spent a lot of my time lying to myself, so I know the power of lying to one’s self. But when you are on your death bed, it’s going to be a hell of a thing trying to convince yourself that taking screaming kids from their parents was the right thing to do.

    Alida Garcia has a thread on Twitter about how to help end the national shame of once again the US kidnapping children. There are organizations in Texas, which is ground zero for this atrocity, which have long been part of the fight to save and care for immigrant families.
    For anyone who is surprised that this could be happening, I can tell you that this atrocity is what this country has been built on. Separating children from parents either as hostages or as commodities is the way to terrorize and beat people so far down into submission that they have no hope other than death. From the slavery of Africans to the Carlisle school to concentration camps for Japanese-Americans to the state sanctioned murders of Black young men and boys, this has been America’s bedrock. Indifference to the plight of POC, got us to this period when the massacres of mostly white school children from kindergarten children through high school are shrugged off for profit. We are all in this together even if we refuse to realize it. Evil eventually consumes everyone and everything when we don’t stop it in the early stages.

    Outside of the Civil War, these are the most challenging times to our union. We get to decide again, what kind of country, what kind of people we will be. Now is the time to stop the false narrative of what this country is (land of the free and home of the brave) and to deal with the nasty underpinnings of our nation that have been here since Europeans came here. The choices are clear and everyone must choose a side.
